I hope that one day Sunrise buys the rights for Advance of Zeta from Dengeki Hobby and makes it into an anime series. That and Crossbone, we need more of both.
crossbone is actually a really great series (with some really dumb moments). and with aoz i cnat really see it happen, since most kits a are p-bandai form the start and the story really is just some cool design with some fluff for story and its questionably u.c cannon in the first place

The only Gundam UC you need to watch is the Gundam Unicorn OVA. It touches on the entire story of the UC timeline and does a decent job wrapping it up so it feels complete.
Nope, skipping any episode of Utena is bad. That ome episode that not so subtly hinted at hanky panky at the end was messed up. I don't judge Utena for anything she does though, I was never in a situation like hers after all.

25 for spouse and me plus binging Isekai Ojiisan now that it's all on Netflix. That show got royally screwed but is so funny and so well done. It deserved more than to be forgotten.

On recaps. While I, too, hate mid-season recaps, I really would love to see an episode 0.5 recap when a show comes back after years of nothing new. Especially for shows with lots of characters and complicated plotting. For example, season 2 of World Trigger really could have used one.
I hope the Gwitch recap is at least CLEVER (I always liked the Evangelion recap was framed as a team seeing the damage and everytime that needed repair through the show) It could be with the perspective and narration of the Aerial!

There is always some amount of exclusivity for shows where sometimes only one platform has it and that always varies from Netflix to Crunchyroll to HiDive and DIsney+ so sadly depending on what your looking for there is no definitively best legal streaming site. Generally speaking Crunchyroll is your best bet for variety and the grand majority of releases so if anything go with them. Also the not so good stuff about Crunchyroll is indeed not so good but its also massively exaggerated so take from it what you will, using them still supports the industry more than pirating ever will regardless of what people say. As a piece of advice most of the time its best to ignore people who are making the streaming services out to be these awful entities the conversation is way more complex than basically everyone makes it out to be and half the time its just people trying to justify pirating aka saying screw you to studios and distributors that make what they are watching possible. so yeah im sure that was more than you asked for but tldr crunchyroll is fine and will have basically everything you want and try to ignore the people making them out to be the devil they are massively overblowing it.

The full explanation is a lengthy one and probably people better at explaining it. So I will go over over the current situation. Harmony Gold and Big West made a deal regarding the Macross franchise. That Big West could globally release All Macross excluding Super Dimension Fortress Macross, and its movie version Do You Remember Love. Harmony Gold could continue to use those two as part of Robotech and also release the Live Action Robotech movie in Japan. In July last year RightStuf announced they were releasing Macross series, 7, Frontier, and Delta. Not long after this Sony brought Rightstuf. Now on the surface this might not sound too bad... However Sony are the ones currently doing the Live Action Robotech movie. Crunchyroll are ones streaming and releasing Robotech series. So immediately they are concerns Sony won't care about releases actual Macross to compete with Robotech. On top of that nothing has been announced about 7, Frontier, and Delta releases since then. As far as I know nothing has been said abut dubs or subs. I would love it if someone could please look into the situation.

Raeliana is so good Otome Isekai. It's a pity that Otome Isekai is not quite as popular as power fantasies. Otome Isekai are always about FL using their wits/knowledge of the OG story (usually) instead of some OP power.
I am not wory about gundam recap : all gundam i know have 1 recap by cour that mean generaly 4 recap minimun if the show is 50 episode it just sunrise way of doing the show

Nier Automata, Ayakashi Triangle, Kubo-san Can’t Communicate, & Misfit of Demon King Academy: all shows from Winter’23 all broadcast only half their run and have had the remainder of their of their season delayed until Summer’23. The worst season ever AFAIK when it comes to all out delays for multiple shows for multiple months. And they all used Covid as a pathetic excuse, even though 25 other shows completed fine, plus the rest of the world is functioning fine and has basically moved on from Covid a year ago. But this is from a country where people are still wearing masks. I think they just see Covid as the greatest excuse in history to not work and not interact with people and they are going to milk it until there’s nothing left.
If I remember, all of those shows had outsourced some aspects of their production to Chinese companies, and China was still pursuing “zero-Covid” at the time (or was facing massive outbreaks because they stopped pursuing it, not sure exactly where on the timeline each delay fell). The studios probably should have had backup plans or something like that, but that’s not even the norm for more vital industries, let alone the entertainment industry. Also, it’s fine to be cautious over contagious diseases. Flu season in the US would probably suck less if people put on masks when they were sick like they do in Japan.
On the note of Ancient Magus Bride not being in the top 10, to be fair.... we're like 5 episodes in and it still feels like we're foundation building. This is probably going to be another 2 cour.
I mean yeah, it's an entirely different "universe" at the college. And they're all alchemists not mages. So there's a lot of that "world" that we did not get last time because we only had a few alchemists really showing up often in the previous storyline and a lot of the things they do or think were not explained.
It's weird to me that an island where earthquakes are a regular occurrence would repeatedly make anime involving destruction similar to that of an earthquake, just so it can inevitably be shelved when yet another earthquake happens. The Whishcash episode got shelved for the same reason.

It's not that surprising people would drop it after a few episodes into the 2nd season given how slow it builds up to the good moments, having said that..... I still think people need to give the second season a chance, although the first season was more hectic and action packed it was still presented as a character driven story and one that would certainly focus a lot of its progression on Thorfinn so it's not like story deceives you in any way, we just get a lot more character development in the second season and the dynamic between Einar and Thorfinn is so damn good as well, really shaping up to be one of the best this year.
Are we really supposed to talk about UC like it's something old and obscure that "new Gundam fans" are new to? I'm fine with trying to hype G-Witch even if I have something to say about it, but I think we still need to be courteous to the franchise and not act like anyone who's watch Gundam older than SEED is dead before the invention of the wheel, lol..
Bandai certainly seems to market UC as if it's more niche. Nothing Universal City has felt mainline for a very long time, and it feels increasingly like anything produced for the continuity is primarily meant for existing fans. That said, it doesn't seem like they've quite given up on pushing it to broader demographics. Unicorn's and Origin's television releases felt like an intentionally safe and cost effective gauges, to see if new audiences would be receptive to the Universal Century.
Most people are probably afraid of the hundreds of episodes to dive through. I imagine more people will be interested in Universal Century once the second Hathaway movie has a release date.
Yeah unfortunately there is a lack of competition 🙁 but GR has always been quite solid for years and years I remember as far 5 years ago but he been up to no good since like 2012 ☠️☠️☠️

I was going bring that up. Between Anime Trending and Anime Corner there are lot of big differences. The biggest would be Witch From Mercury. Trending has in the video shows it #1. In Anime Corner it's 22nd in the latest poll and has been sitting in the twenties for the season. In Corner's poll Oshi No Ko is #1. There's also other anime in and out depending on the poll. It's tough to figure out in a way on what anime is supposedly killing it on not.

Anime Trending seems to lean more into SOL and romance for audience. Anime Corner audience more consistently for action series.

The only way you could figure out what's what is by taking all the anime polls for the season from all the sites and averaging them out some way.

To be honest, I really don't understand the whole zeitgeist behind "Witch of Mercury". I mean, I'm enjoying it well enough, but nothing about it has been particularly stellar. Heck, looking at that popularity chart, "Witch of Mercury" is the only show listed on there I'm watching. 10+ shows and literally none except for one is on there. While I don't particularly like The Witch from Mercury (so far), it was my introduction to Gundam, and since the first season aired I've watched every Gundam series made before Turn A, so it's safe to say I'm a fan. Props to Sunrise for making pretty much every Gundam anime available to purchase since at least 2020, and putting more of the series on streaming services.
I like Gundam and WoM is actually very well produced but the characters and stakes🤦🏾 It's highschool drama+Beyblade(the entire world's safety is at the hands of companies(Beyblades)+mystery

I'm loving Dangers in my heart. It is basic, but it's basic done right. Shy boy meets extroverted girl is one of my favorite tropes.

And they all used Covid as a pathetic excuse, even though 25 other shows completed fine, plus the rest of the world is functioning fine and has basically moved on from Covid a year ago. But this is from a country where people are still wearing masks. I think they just see Covid as the greatest excuse in history to not work and not interact with people and they are going to milk it until there’s nothing left.
If I remember, all of those shows had outsourced some aspects of their production to Chinese companies, and China was still pursuing “zero-Covid” at the time (or was facing massive outbreaks because they stopped pursuing it, not sure exactly where on the timeline each delay fell). The studios probably should have had backup plans or something like that, but that’s not even the norm for more vital industries, let alone the entertainment industry.
Also, it’s fine to be cautious over contagious diseases. Flu season in the US would probably suck less if people put on masks when they were sick like they do in Japan.
On the note of Ancient Magus Bride not being in the top 10, to be fair.... we're like 5 episodes in and it still feels like we're foundation building. This is probably going to be another 2 cour.
I mean yeah, it's an entirely different "universe" at the college. And they're all alchemists not mages. So there's a lot of that "world" that we did not get last time because we only had a few alchemists really showing up often in the previous storyline and a lot of the things they do or think were not explained.

It's weird to me that an island where earthquakes are a regular occurrence would repeatedly make anime involving destruction similar to that of an earthquake, just so it can inevitably be shelved when yet another earthquake happens. The Whishcash episode got shelved for the same reason.
I'd say it's fairly normal for writers and artists to be inspired by the circumstances they live in, isn't it?

As soon as the anime was announced, the VS manga community was already saying that once the Farmville saga starts the anime only people wouldn't love it, most would actually drop it
It's not that surprising people would drop it after a few episodes into the 2nd season given how slow it builds up to the good moments, having said that..... I still think people need to give the second season a chance, although the first season was more hectic and action packed it was still presented as a character driven story and one that would certainly focus a lot of its progression on Thorfinn so it's not like story deceives you in any way, we just get a lot more character development in the second season and the dynamic between Einar and Thorfinn is so damn good as well, really shaping up to be one of the best this year.
So do you not like this second seasons?
Are we really supposed to talk about UC like it's something old and obscure that "new Gundam fans" are new to? I'm fine with trying to hype G-Witch even if I have something to say about it, but I think we still need to be courteous to the franchise and not act like anyone who's watch Gundam older than SEED is dead before the invention of the wheel, lol..
Bandai certainly seems to market UC as if it's more niche. Nothing Universal City has felt mainline for a very long time, and it feels increasingly like anything produced for the continuity is primarily meant for existing fans.
That said, it doesn't seem like they've quite given up on pushing it to broader demographics. Unicorn's and Origin's television releases felt like an intentionally safe and cost effective gauges, to see if new audiences would be receptive to the Universal Century.

Most people are probably afraid of the hundreds of episodes to dive through. I imagine more people will be interested in Universal Century once the second Hathaway movie has a release date.

My hero did some nice recaps. I miss zoids. I want a new zoids rpg like on the gameboy advance so I can catch well build them all. If the fighting game was a rpg where the stronger your bond is with your zoid the more skills you both learn than it being a fighting game.

It would be interesting to also look at other weekly anime lists like *Anime Corner* as well to see the similarities and differences to Anime Trending.
I was going bring that up. Between Anime Trending and Anime Corner there are lot of big differences. The biggest would be Witch From Mercury. Trending has in the video shows it #1. In Anime Corner it's 22nd in the latest poll and has been sitting in the twenties for the season. In Corner's poll Oshi No Ko is #1. There's also other anime in and out depending on the poll. It's tough to figure out in a way on what anime is supposedly killing it on not.
@Super Evil Poptarts Yeah for example: in Winter 2022 My Dress Up Darling won overall over both AOT and Demon Slayer to be anime of the season for Anime Trending, but for Anime Corner it was AOT on top as anime of the season. Anime Trending seems to lean more into SOL and romance for audience. Anime Corner audience more consistently for action series.
@@raec5426 I also saw another poll (I forget which inter anime website) that shows as of this week Vinland Saga season 2 as # 1 and has been that way constantly. The only way you could figure out what's what is by taking all the anime polls for the season from all the sites and averaging them out some way.

To be honest, I really don't understand the whole zeitgeist behind "Witch of Mercury". I mean, I'm enjoying it well enough, but nothing about it has been particularly stellar. It's all just okay, pretty standard "Gundam" stuff for the most part.
I guess there must be something I'm just not understanding behind its popularity. Heck, looking at that popularity chart, "Witch of Mercury" is the only show listed on there I'm watching. 10+ shows and literally none except for one is on there. Guess I'm just one of those weirdos with unusual tastes.

WFM not likely to have massive next season delay since Sunrise have their dedicated anime studios for Gundam. This delay seems like a schedule adjustment including the voice recording section.

While I don't particularly like The Witch from Mercury (so far), it was my introduction to Gundam, and since the first season aired I've watched every Gundam series made before Turn A, so it's safe to say I'm a fan. Props to Sunrise for making pretty much every Gundam anime available to purchase since at least 2020, and putting more of the series on streaming services.
I like Gundam and WoM is actually very well produced but the characters and stakes🤦🏾
