    Diet Cream soda...Perfect. I own THREE of these and LOVE them. Used them for many years. Small size, keeps them warmer. You can store gear underneath. No staking!!. I own an oversize, too. They are bulky. I have used them on canoe trip 110 miles and on kayak camping trips. HINT is to get a roller bag like for easy up canopy and have wheels. a small bit of memory foam works wonders.

    In the Army and I have one of these. Obviously you will need the rain cover but it is an absolutely solid piece of equipment. Pour rain and stay dry. Keeps out bugs. Set up and tear down in under a minute.

    We have a couple of kamp rite oversize tent cots ! Also have a self inflating matress in each one ! They are heavy and awkward to carry ! Other than being like a 4 x 8 sheet of 3/4 inch plywood to carry !! With that said !! You can actually sleep in comfort ! Considering it`s weight and size , It is just about the best you can do as far as being really able to get good rest ! It will make you never want to sleep on ths cold hard ground again !

    • @SpiritofWildWings

      Boy, Sean couldn't agree with you more!
      In the winter he has been known tohang a candle lantern in there with him to warm it up. Usually he puts a Harbor Freight wool blanket over it and uder the rainfly. That is all he needs (besides his inflatable mattress) to be warm well below freezing. (14°F)

    • @thecatofulthar
      @thecatofulthar 6 років тому +1

      No candle lantern inside I used that in a small done tent.
      I use a Zippo hand warmer or instant ones inside if I get cold but that was only needed once when I brought the wrong sleeping bag.

    • @SpiritofWildWings
      @SpiritofWildWings  5 років тому

      It has a really nice rainfly. If you're worried, you can fly a tarp over it. Sean's done it to put shade on the thing, it would offer rain protection as well.
      Sean has not had a leak yet with it.

    I think it's a good idea but you need fold down legs on the ends or somebody is going to cause it to tilt by trying to go in or out the ends. What's the weight limit on this thing?

  • @jerelmercurio4754
    @jerelmercurio4754 3 роки тому

    Questions:
    1. Arn't you mad it isn't domed like the larger model?
    2. Do you think they could make it small enough for a backpack, if the poles were telescopic? Then it might be double sized with a way higher roof.
    3. Doesnt that lounge bar hurt when sat on as a regular chair? Be nice if the legs were a longer then?
    4. Be nice to have thick waterproof instructions tucked in for others and when you haven't used it for awhile?
    Still the best model yet to date.
    (The tent cot. Not the dude.)

    • @SpiritofWildWings
      @SpiritofWildWings  7 років тому +2

      It gets used throughout the winter. As this comes with a self-inflating pad, that offers a good deal of insulation in and of itself.
      The durability of this product has been outstanding, though the self-inflating pad did form a leak and was replaced.
      In very cold weather the rainfly helps tons with warmth and it was also used on super-cold nights with a "space blanket" between the tent and the rainfly. The temperature inside was quite balmy.

    • @thecatofulthar
      @thecatofulthar 6 років тому

      Dean Boland honestly I have only used the camp rite one in cold weather I find adding a wool blanket draped over it makes a difference. It's not going to be super warm but at about 10 degrees Fahrenheit inside my low temp sleeping bag rated for 20 with a self inflating thermal pad I was pretty warm and comfortable.
