I'm aware there is an audio isssue. I'm trying my best to get it sorted out. In the mean time check out this Xbox Series X repair ua-cam.com/users/shortszdviIec-L6c
Hey these are my headphones! I’m so grateful you would even look at them Leigh, can’t thank you enough and then to even manage to fix them! What a legend. Thank you so very much. I sing your praises at every opportunity ❤. A very happy returning customer
How much did it cost I need my Astros doing
I fix a lot of my own electronics and I'm telling you right now, when a client is rough with their stuff, these things happen. You have to deliberate and gentle when you handle it.
The first video I found after 2 days of constant searching that has the exact same array of issues I have.
Hello! Very good job!
Can you tag all yours accessory’s with link amazon? ( micro usb, soldering products,…) ?
Thank you very much
Another one for the Scorebook, Leigh! Nice job. :)
Thank you!
Kept away from a landfill, good repair.
Thank you so much you don’t know how annoying this was
Cool, glad this video helped you out man!
Another great repair.
Hey brother, don't you have the repair diagram for the charging base of the 4th generation astro a50?
Im looking to replace mine. Is there a specific name for the usb port you used
Awesome Video, my A50 is getting issues every now and then, usually once a month. I have just reattached a cable, but still no charging, I guess it's that micro usb port. Although I have ordered a replacement station now, i would like to try and repair the old one. Is there a list on which tools you used to repair that port? I have the usual soldering stuff, but not that nice cleaning tools etc you use.
Just take your time and use lots of flux. Some q-tips and 99% IPA will clean up well.
Hey love the video about to do this to mine, could you tell me specifically which female micro usb socket that is with the four pins? Thanks
There isn't a model number. It's a case of looking online matching up the footprint. I found them on Amazon in the end.
It would have been great if you had adapted it with a USB Type-C connector
I agree!
would that power it if it was swtiched ? is it that easy ? lol

I need the same repairs! Unfortunately im not very good with this stuff and living in a little town offers no assistance. Guess thats $300 wasted
If you are in the US... Consider @computerbooter1566 he is Live streaming right now!!
I have the exact same headphones and they don’t even light up on the button when it’s on the base station is fine but it doesn’t light up even when headphones are connected
I have the exact same problem, will you fix it for me if I pay for shipping etc?
If you are in the UK please contact us here: enquiries@ubermicro.co.uk
My port seems to be fairly snug yet I’m having the same issue. Is there anything else it could possibly be? They’re brand new and never used. I followed the video and it when I checked the port she seems pretty snug
The ports are a tight fit. The plastic comb inside gets pushed and pulled and over time it break the connections soldered to the board. The port can look perfectly fine but can be totally disconnected. We replace with a brand new port, we also reinforce the back to stop the comb from moving.
is there any chance you could do a repair on my astro a50 base, It has exactly the same issue as this one, thank you

A perfect repair for my Astro A 50. Many thanks to you both.
If I took this to a local shop what would an estimate be on how much it would cost?
I’m having the exact same issue
Do you have the part number for the port, I need to do this exact job. Thanks!
Shit don’t makes sense how a $300 headset is having this problem like wtf
The ports are a little weak on these dur to the ancor points. However with craful handling they should last. Accidental movment is enough for them to come loose unfortunately.
Dumb engineers and cost cuts. Customers are screwed
Same
i successfully soldered on the new usb but lost the smallest fucking chip just up from the usb 😥
What temps are you using on hot air and soldering iron?
Hot air about 350c with 50% airflow and about 345c on the iron.
I search the port at the internet to do this by myself
