The film’s central theme revolves around the pressure Sofia faces, mirroring the experiences of many in their twenties, who are still navigating life’s uncertainties, she still has lots to figure out. When Claire brings up the topic of starting a family, it throws chaos into her adulting process and triggers insecurities. While Sofia’s actions may seem illogical, Delgado builds up to that moment by subtly showing us what her character is trying to prove to others, and herself. The realistic look of the film is what makes it such a pleasant watch, as it is easy to identify with at least one character, and the lack of dramatic moments or intense climax allows the short to instead focus on Sofia’s emotional journey. - S/W Curator, Céline Roustan

All things considered, the couple's reaction was very reasonable.

this so much hard nowadays to think since we are no longer trained because our journey is no restriction. We tend to think that everything is an experiment. So we failed if our expectation doesn't met reality,

It feels very intimate doesn't it? Director Cecilia Delgado said she worked with DP Zach Kuperstein "to keep Sofia in tight shots, keeping us close to her face for as much of the film as possible; to get a sense of her desires and inner life."

She loses her job as a babysitter/nanny as she took the child she was babysitting to places where his parents didn't know in advance she was taking him, very dangerous and immature. Her two straight friends announce they are having a child. She goes for a walk up a hill with her friends. She seems somewhat happy in the moment, maybe a sign that in the end that everything worked out for her.
It is a bit confusing but it feels like a ending the viewer has to take something out of in terms of Sofa's look at the end.

It's a bit of confusing watch as you don't get enough of what is going on in Sofia's mind. It's all with her looks and actions in certain moments.
From what I got from it, Claire's probably right, Sofia probably nowhere near ready to bring a life into this world (and probably hardship for a Lesbian couple to go through with process of making a child) and showed especially with young boy, she's mentally not mature yet. She's shown in moments with the child that she has potential to be great parent but at this point in her life she's nowhere near ready. You see little tiny moments of her immaturity around the boy's parents or with Claire.
That's the vibe I got from it. But could be totally wrong.

Hmm i sure hate when people try to force hatred and intolerance on children! I hate when they try to force religion on innocent children
