    shop around for the visa agent...5000 for a new bank account is to much, having them check in every 90 days is a ripoff, you can do it online for free. how long have you been in Thailand?

      I've been living here since 2021. I checked out other agents before finding Thai Visa Pattaya. I've had a good experience so far. Since I posted the video, it's also become easier to apply for visas online directly on the Thai embassy site while in the US.

    To be honest I will stick to Thailand for month long vacations, but I will live in the UK. You are at the mercy of other people in Thailand and that puts you in a position of weakness. 🇬🇧

    Hi, very informative interview thank you, however I have 2 queries.,
    1st,. Is it true that you don't need to have the 800,000THB (400,000 THB for marriage visa) in a Thai bank account for two months, when applying for change of category where first they give 3 months, but it does need to be there for two months when applying there after for 12 months and subsequently for yearly extensions. Example: If come in on Visa Exempt 30 or 45 days couldn't have the THB in the Bank account for two months anyway!.
    2nd.,. If someone comes in to Thailand on a tourist visa with the intention of changing to a retirement visa, will a one way ticket suffice ?.
    Thanks again 🙏🍀🙏.

      Good question. However, It's best if I don't say too much here. I purposely left that part out in the video because it's best to talk with Singh at Thai Visa Pattaya about that. There is a simple workaround. He makes the process incredibly easy. It pays to know a guy. 😉

    • @JakeSnowLiveSimple
      @JakeSnowLiveSimple  Рік тому +1

      You can extend the 45 days to 30 days. Then you must leave the country and reenter for another 45 days and 30 day extension.

    Hey there! Do these rates still apply?

    • @JakeSnowLiveSimple
      @JakeSnowLiveSimple  4 місяці тому

      Hello! I think the rates are the same, but it's best to contact Sing to verify. There have been some immigration updates that he could answer for you, too. I know the tourist exemption has changed from 45 days to 30 days. The extension is still 30 days.

    Can I extend my 'visa on arrival' together with my wife's visa? I mean I can stay longer than my wife because I'm Canadian citizen and my wife has a china passport. Is there any dependent visa for tourist?

    • @JakeSnowLiveSimple
      @JakeSnowLiveSimple  Рік тому

      Good question. I believe you can apply for the 30 day extension as soon as you arrive in Thailand and while you still have 15 days left on your "arrival visa". No, I don't believe there is a dependent visa for tourists. I think I am correct, but It's best to confirm this with Singh.

    Hello Jake.I am a us expat that lost everything in the us.Can I come to Thailand and do border runs every 45 days for the rest of my life?Is there a cheaper easier way?Do you know how to get low cost flights to thailand?Thank you for being a blessing to use all.

      Hello William. You can enter twice per year with a tourist visa/visa exemption. 45 days with 30-day extensions, totaling 75 days/stay. 75 days, leave, and then reenter for another 75 days. I had a family visa that I could not renew last year because I was out of Thailand on a business trip. So I decided to give the tourist visa a try for the experience. After my first 75 days, I made a short trip to Vietnam for a week. When I returned, immigration questioned why I was returning. After 45 minutes, they let me back in but only approved me for 30 days which was strange. I'm sure Singh at Thai Visa Pattaya could have extended my stay once I was in Thailand but I had to fly back to the US to take care of some real estate business so I didn't try to extend.
      Having a multi-entry retirement visa is the best way to go if you're 50 or older. I'm only 48, so I must get a family visa with multi-entry. I plan on getting the retirement visa once I qualify. It's cheaper and easier to renew.
      Immigration is much easier to deal with when you have a family or retirement visa. If you're going to live in Thailand on tourist visas, you'll have to split your time between other countries like the Philippines and Cambodia. Both are a short and cheap flight away.
      Before covid, I could easily find cheap flights to Thailand and other Asian countries. Now they are double the price but coming back down. I plan my flights around the cheapest days and times to fly since I have no set schedule. LAX is the cheapest airport to fly out of. I book flights Monday mornings and usually always fly on Tuesday or Wednesday. I found that it gets me the best flight prices.
