The Ritz, Steamboat, Continental Club, Liberty Lunch, Raul’s, Backroom were the clubs in the 80’s where I seen so many classic punk and metal shows from the likes of Gang Green, Raw Power, Dead Kennedys, Jerry’s Kids, MDC, Verbal Abuse, Slayer, Exciter, Watchtower, Militia, The Offenders, DRI and so many other great bands!! $5 shows 2 hits of acid and skateboarding until the sun came up was the norm back in those days!! What an awesome time back then.

I moved to Austin that summer 1982 and among the first bands i saw at the Ritz Theater were MDC, DRI, The Big Boys & The offenders. I am probly at this show. Good Times in TEXAS!

I seen them at the Ritz in the 80's with bands like Scratch Acid, & Fearless Iranians From Hell, COC,DRI, & shit load of metal. Man the list goes on, so many bands played at Ritz in their early start. Those were the days...

Too bad the quality couldn't have been better, but, 1982. We're lucky to have anything from those times and those broke-ass scenes. It sure wasn't about the money. Many thanks for posting, bostoncrew82.
