during a heart attack and while in the hospital, I was scared out of my mind because the next morning I would be cut open for a 5 bypass
. I finally looked up to the Lord and turned on the Chris t. song "He Is worthy". I felt the peace come into that hospital room and I fell into a very peaceful sleep. that was in Nov. 2019..I am here today and I praises the Lord for his goodness! thanks for the song Chris! I am 72. sandy
Chris is an amazing Christian. He is unique because he has a rock solid theology and he takes what he believes seriously. Most of the contemporary artists wouldn't know Biblical Christianity if it hit them in the face. But Tomlin puts the truth of God's Word and solid Biblical doctrine into his reverent worship music. I pray that he continues in the narrow path of faith and doesn't stray like the many artists have. May God continue to Bless him and use him. Amen!
I am surprised there aren't any christains who aren't bashing him about having lots of money. Like I have seen them do with pastors and other artist for Jesus Christ. Always judgmental or is it jealously? Could be both

Deceptive title for this video. The whole interview is about MUSIC and not worship without music. Chris and his posse definitely saved Christian contemporary music which was a little sluggish before he blessed us, but I would have liked to hear more on the subject the video was supposed to be about.

My favorite song from Chris Tomlin is Amazing Grace, my chains are gone. Sometimes every morning when i wake up, i listen to this song in order to start off new day. Followed by praying the Chaplet of Saint Michael and the rosary. My denomination is Catholicism.

Chris your right worship is not all about music its about worship focusing our attention on our heavenly father, and watching god move, and awaken his people, ..our church vision here in ct is to become the most spiritually vibrant place on earth. Chris you should hook up with my friend Tim tebow he works to stop sex trafficking, and has a hospital overseas for kids who are thrown away and go in not able to walk and sick, and walk out on thier own. He also works with people with disabilities, get ahold of him.

For all of you who are coming against Chris Tomlin and any other christian singer, I must ask you what are you doing? You have placed yourself in a place of total vulnerability of losing God's true visions and commands he has instructed for us as Christ followers. We have been instructed zero times to judge one another but rather love one another. Just remember God's Word when He says, "Don't be so Heavenly Minded and no earthly good". We all fail and fall short of the glory of God. Just because christian artists have answered the call does not make them perfect, it makes them obedient. I encourage you, everyone of you who have speculation to search the heart of God and pray for each other. One of the biggest reasons the churches aren't full is because of Christians or people who claim to be Christ followers but treat people in a way in which Jesus who took on flesh, a perfect man loving in an unperfefect world, never once treated man. Understand when lucifer tried to be greater than God he was cast out of Heaven. Allow yourself to be love and only love. We cannot reach a dying world when Christians can't even unite in one accord and act like Jesus instructed us. Jesus has many many names, Jesus, Jesua, Yawae, etc. it's not what we call Him it's who He is through us. It is not until God's people unite, will we ever reach the world. God bless you

I am at a loss. First, let me say this, I enjoy singing songs unto the Lord while listening to a few songs sung by Chris Tomlin, but I am hearing a duel message in this piece. First I am hearing words like "a humble worship leader." Well, what is a humble worship leader who gives an interview about awards they have received while "leading people to sing before the Lord?" Then I heard him say how he does not want people to see him, but why are you standing center stage with a spotlight on you: turn on all of the lights so one person is not elevated.
I don't want to bash or speak ill, yet I am honestly saying why do interviews, accept awards, and allow folks to exalt (ask you for autographs) if you do not want them to see you? If I am not mistaken, Jesus shunned those who cried out to him declaring him even "the Son of David," which he was. Did he not silence the devil, who exalted him this way? Also, did he not say to avoid the praise of man, or trust in it; or something to that effect? I could be wrong. Did not Jesus tell folks who were healed to not even tell others who healed them? Again, I could be wrong, for some Bible scholar will probably tell me each verse is being taken out of context, but the fact still remains: Jesus did not accept exaltation.
But the early disciples did the same, they rejected it also: read accounts in the book of Acts. They asked others "why are you worshipping us, we are mere men," but I'll give you what I have..."in Jesus name, rise up and walk." Jesus became the focus, who also received the praise but the disciples encountered sufferings, bearings, and prison instead of awards and interviews and spotlights. But again, I could be wrong.
Feel free to ponder these words with the Bible, and encounter the humble King who surrendered his life for others while "no one esteemed him" (Isaiah 52).

I assume you must know "most of the contemporary artists" personally to truly know their hearts.
The fact that everyone wants to help people in India or Uganda but we close our eyes to the homeless people next to our door, or that we don't take time to intercede for the witchcraft in our cities, really leaves me speechless. It is so much easier to give money to different causes here and there (like Unicef or the red cross) and you never really know what happens with your money than giving to the refugee family next door (the one with 4 kids) or spearing one rent to your tenants that are Christians like you struggling with all sorts of issues. I am not sure if we know what we are doing and if we are really loving our brothers like ourselves just by pressing a button online and donating to a cause. It is tricky and dangerous.

If the words are straight from the Bible, how is it worldly. Just because you don't like the style of music doesn't mean that same music doesn't facilitate worship for other people. If you like to sing traditional songs/hymns (which are contemporary in the grand scheme), that's fine. Other people worship to different kinds of music. As long as the words glorify God, sing whatever style of music you want, and pour your heart and love out to God.

All music is worship don't be fooled, its enchanting over and over, why do you think it's so easy to follow along with the chorus, especially with artist that aren't of God, demons give them the melody lines and words even if they don't know it but some do admit it, how many say they sold their soul in the lyrics? MANY!! and would you or do still sing their songs if so! Why is it we can just be at home not heard a certain song for awhile and it just comes to our minds, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but wicked spirits!
Music is worship, ye either sing to God /Jesus or ye sing to the devil, which most people in songs call him God too, all the secular music calls Satan God and enough so called Christ artist do as well, but sadly most prefer their songs over the word of God, Jesus told us most prefer darkness over light.
When people thank the artist for their songs and not God is that blaspheme? By scripture everything has to be given from heaven no man can act on his own, and if you do, it'a freewill! Jesus told my father plants the trees, I'am the vines, ye are the branches and you can do nothing with out me, man takes credit for God works, boast it's my works, I wrote the songs, as we are told, we are saved by grave not our our own works it is a gift of God, we should always praise God not men, and scripture tells men love the praise of men, not of God, scripture also says NO ONE can led anyone to Christ but God, Hallelujah.
