As an architect, it hurts to know how much our natural old growth forests and habitats have been devastated by industrailization. It's my life's goal to re-establish how we build around / protect these ecosystems
Blame your foremothers and forefathers for this disaster and destruction, that y’all did on this land, now yall living lavishly off her. When my ancestors walked these lands all the forest and ecosystem was here and flowing. It wasn’t until barbaric colonizers came
We also have diseases like chestnut blight that have dramatically changed the forest composition over the last 100 years. Great to see content focused on forests in this area
I've really been wondering about how much is GMO forest? Starting to think it's almost everything. I think that's the reason why there's so many fires. Pretty sure they seed after harvest but with GMO seeds. Could be wrong but more info on this would really put things in perspective for more people than just me.
miracle the god see the last forest and did what he Ned to do it's just Nature or you can say magic of nature that logging company just got what they deserve
Old Growth Forest network disagrees . There's old growth forest up and down the east coast and extends to illinois.. In fact the US government has just said this year they cataloged over 100 million acres of old growth left.
Well, the European naval conflicts that created the demand for American timber ended by 1850, and by then ships started to be made of metal. Not to mention, Scandinavia began a lumber industry. Not to mention the changes in the US market towards mining, rail, and gas extraction over timber.

I’m glad they’re trying to come up with resistant chestnut cultivars. We could end up with them back before too long!
Amazing to look at, sad that they’re gone but good to know that they can (and are, in some places) return.
Thank God they got to my state last. California still has the largest trees in the whole 🌎 😊
I must be there... How? This is a dream to preserve these wonderful places
Gorgeous video
I've watched this guy's UA-cam channel, he makes top notch videos man!
What I'd give to see a huge forest of MASSIVE Oaks like we read about in the European fairytales.
Pray for the forests. They are our greatest treasure.

I can show you huge sections of old growth forest all over northwestern Pennsylvania.
So where is it???
Shhhh don't even tell a soul
Its Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest in Robbinsville, NC.
Theres more old growth in the Adirondacks than there is in the Appalachians.
Makes me sad because will never see it in our life times it would take 200-300 years if we decided to let the forests grow back
We can't we would still have to manage them this is a way overgrown forests that needs under brush cleared out. (At least multch it.)

Isn't it odd that logging companies go bankrupt?
