Huge. I have one of the two recommended mining perks but this new information will help immensely. I was unlocking memetics without paying attention and quickly reduced my energy links to a mere 4000! Having immediately become worried of the roadblock to progress, I searched YT to find your content FTW. AND while I was here watching, I learned that I can sell deviated saffron for a generous return as well and happen to've harvested a couple more (than the two I already stored) today. 💪🏻 Thank you so much for your help! /cheers 🍻
it's also worth mentioning that if you're lucky digby's can give you silver ore. I've gotten over 100 silver just from having 2 of them and I'm only level 20. (obviously it is alot slower then mining it though)
This still holds true today! Subbing just for this! Net 1000 silver ore in the matter of 45 min. Sometimes 2-3 per world, battery powered drill helped speed it up.
There is a mechanic people aren’t really paying attention to, vending machines. I’ll try to keep this comment quite lengthy so that the most lazy users won’t pay attention to it and stay loyal customers that don’t have time. So, for all the try harders and no life gamers like myself out there. Forget about acid. Energy is the real deal here. Hear me out. For one, acid is farmable, whether you have the perk to turn sulfur into acid or not. Just make one alt account for your farms and you’re good. And yeah I already hear noobies crying that it’s gonna max out server cap, just wait for the next update; 700 structures building limit isn’t enough okay, and I have no friends, let me be in my Hive with myself in peace, thanks. Moving on; at the end of the season, you can exchange energy links for starchrome. I could stop there, but like I said, I want this comment to be lengthy enough for most people to give up. Starchrome will progressively become more and more valuable. Not only can you buy weapons cosmetics, which in itself, I mean if you wanna get all the cosmetics for yourself is great. Although we can’t trade weapons yet, this feature might come around. A possible hint to this is the recent user survey they’ve put out. One question says “why were you attracted to download Once Human”, and one of the options was “The opportunity to make real money by trading”; some games have put out a marketplace before. But that’s just speculation at this point. Nevertheless, starchrome will always be superior to acid anyway. So what I’m trying to say is, get good at farming and automation, build and alt account for your farms, or if you have friends, well, congrats then. Use your main to build a beautiful Mall in your world and advertise the sht out of it. Make it look pretty, place it in an accessible spot for new players, your real customers. Make some aisles with categorised vending machines. Specialise in what resource you wanna sell based on the perks you have. You can become a chef, and sell food that has increased stats for those who didn’t unlock the perks, become a smelter and let others make a small margin from your silver and gold ingots. Trust me guys, capitalism will rise in this game. At least that’s my opinion and I’m drunk.
Great vid! Got a dilemma here, I got Oil Processing / Combo Chipset / Stardust Water Pump all together as options for one of the specialization effects... which to choose, can only be one... easy energy links or easy stardust source... what would you go for?
@@mrpoofers8569 The places on the map arent level locked. They are locked permanently until your server hits week 2. This is claimed to be a preventative measure against carrying lower level players, but in reality its just because they need you to play this game as often as possible over the 6 week wipes so they can put their storefronts in your face a million times in hopes that you'll buy currency for skins.
I hate to agree with Sweenis but I do. This is an 'incentive' to keep playing. The game is free so we cant complain (and I do like the casual progression from time to time) but this should be only there for the first season with launch and not limit others if they want to progress fast
Question, when using the drill do you get more silver or less? I ask as when using an axe I get silver every hit until it breaks the node. With the drill it breaks right away. I think a text on both would be in order.
The better the tool, the more resource you get, the speed only modifies how much you get per hit, there are some builds that help you with gathering speed so they modify your speed while getting resource and that means you get a little bit more per hit to compensate the speed
you get double silver/gold when using the drill I'm pretty sure. it says +100% yield for gold/silver/stardust. haven't made it myself yet, so don't quote me on that, but I'm 99% sure. *Edit:* You need a specialization for the drill to give +100% yield, but I still think it is much better than the steel pickaxe, even if you don't have the right specialization. How do you unlock precious metal refining? me and my friend both checked each memetic specialization and neither of us had it as a choice, is is RNG? or are there any prerequisites?

In the old days before computer games we played dungeons and dragons and similar and we rolled unique dice to determine various outcomes. RNG is very much part of every Roll Playing Game / RPG.....hence the roll-playing. Some may assume it's "playing a roll of" and partly correct but roll-playing ultimately = a rolling dice type result / random.
how did you get to your first silver farm teleport, currently I'm unable to travel to this area, it's has a barrier that if you go through you die. This area is currently out of bounds during the first season!

Idk I did many resets to see what works and what doesnt, cradle upgrades are all good while the rest isnt that rng tbh- maybe finding blueprints but also that u can choose since 1.0 (buy specific ones and dont gamble with your starchrom)
Not crippled, the game is soloable but you are supposed to play with friends. So you can cover each others weaknesses. Building the ultimate solo character should be mildly difficult
@@04AMofficial I think he maybe like what this video eludes to. Cause that item which you didn't have anymore of.. Well RNG gods blessed you with being able to get the gold/silver bars and potentially rich in currency cause of it. The rest of us are on the credit grind.
The masteries are for end game: open them all up at level 50 so you won't have any repeat choices. Chipset or gold/silver should statistically be in there. I did it at level 35 and I got some good choices (sulfer ache my, for example).

You said @ 1:07 you would explain the Energy Link selling cap in a few seconds, but I watched the whole video and you forgot to explain this. The shop vendor in Deadsville has a selling cap of 25k. Can I sell ingots to him and then go to a different camp vendor and sell more there with a different cap? Thanks!
Sorry! You can visit each town and sell more there! I sold over 200K today across the different towns and seems like the higher the lv of town, the higher the cap
i did this yesterday made at least 50k or more but just spent it all on calibration n other stuff i get like avg 12k plus i dont gotta remake drills since i have the solar drill too

Wow that second spot just netted me 500 silver ore in all 10 worlds and I barely left the tower, just scoped in with a pistol at night and could spot the ore everywhere over there
i just got all other specilisation nodes. maby its which you picked the first or its absolute random. maby we can get a list which perks exists sometime. but we cant change it as often as we want so its irrelevant. i for myself got combo chipset and solar drills
you call this a trick? hopping servers and farming for silver is not a quick trick, you yourself said it can take some time finding the silver. I just have a bunch of digby bots running around collecting silver for me.

For all those who cant get the precious metal refining specialization, you can just farm the ores and sell them to players so they just smelt it and sell
if you DO NOT get it, you can have a friend smelt it for you, and you can sell it with no issues, youll get so much silver with these methods you wont be able to sell it weekly. so tip yer friend :)
I had 3 resets, used them all yet didnt find the perk to make the gold and silver ores into ingots . Idk how to get more of the item that resets them sadly

You can sell it to any player with a vending machine, of course whatever you sell should be "cheap", for example you sell 1 silver ingot at 3k, yeah you gaining 3k less but you are still gettin some profit, and foe other players that haven't use their selling limit it's a boom since they can profit by 3k still
You know where to see how many season points i have to reset the specializations? fear of rerroling and missing the silver and gold melting one bc the consumable finished

Lvl 31 ingame, all tech after level 4 seemed to locked for me, apparently for next season "Tame..something" to be released. What am I missing out. Also the moment I try to travel beyond Iron side mitsuki's voice (butterfly deviant) warns me not to leave.
Great way but seems more geared towards higher level players who have access to everything in this. I'm lvl 32 so it's no issue for me but i'd still rather just go with the sea water/salt selling method becuase you also farm up xp along with it and it doesn't take 20 minutes of switching worlds praying. It's guaranteed every time and is 80% passive income
@@04AMofficial You only can reset a certain number and there is no guarantee you can get the one you want. If there is away around the limit of respecs I'd love to know.

Haha, so this insane method requires you to be level 50. WARNING: dont reset craddle specialisations unless you built enough copies of your curent technologies since they stay after the reset. Meaning if you have stardust pump tech, make 5 in your base. So its a big mistake to reset before building enough of your curent techs in base. Dont use this method, you will destroy your base building options

Found a spot in red sands that spawns 4 silver nodes to 1 gold node every 4 mins

Their is a weekly sell limit on all vendors fyi. So this isn't a way tp get rich. But make sure you use those weekly limits.

Long story short, you get the drill you gonna farm like 50 per node where a normal pickaxe would probably get you 30 tops

Season phase timers are server bound. If you're on a newer server you won't have phase 2 yet so all you can do is wait til it unlocks for you

you can sell stacks of steel. Not nearly as efficient but thats a solid option. Or if you have any friends playing give them the mats to make for you?
You can pump sea water and burn it for salt and sell that, pretty easy passive way to get the credits

You need that for refining the ore, yes. That is why I shared it with a dedicated timestamp in the video. U can respec and take it, just like I did

Great way but seems more geared towards higher level players who have access to everything in this. I'm lvl 32 so it's no issue for me but i'd still rather just go with the sea water/salt selling method becuase you also farm up xp along with it and it doesn't take 20 minutes of switching worlds praying. It's guaranteed every time and is 80% passive income

Every camp/town area has 1 vendor npc where you can sell stuff to. The other 2 are special currency vendors
Haha, so this insane method requires you to be level 50. WARNING: dont reset craddle specialisations unless you built enough copies of your curent technologies since they stay after the reset. Meaning if you have stardust pump tech, make 5 in your base. So its a big mistake to reset before building enough of your curent techs in base.
Dont use this method, you will destroy your base building options
