In Africa you never tell a service provider especially a taxi that it's your first time. You set yourself up for the robbery. He was asking all those questions in preparation for the score. Nice video though.

thanks for the 2nd part as for transport to Maputo I can see is not that expensive (even from Pretoria) and for accommodation at least I learnt something (better to go for cheap one). as for local transport I can see Português Moçambicano (Mozambican Portuguese) is needed in order to avoid ..
Lol same thing happened to me at the border and we arrived at night 😂 no said anything about where we need to go or do. Luckily we just followed people from our bus because we were heading back to the bus after the first stamp
Sorry sis, same thing happens to me when I visited South Africa from Nigeria, and the cab guy that took myself and the kids from the o.rtambo International Airport took away our bags and drove off. I just manage to stay for 5 days and return to my country. May God almighty multiply your hustle ❤❤
You’re experience was a pure criminal act. And it is unacceptable. I hope you reported it to the police. I’m so sorry it happened. Next time do not use those cabs. You should have done your research before coming. Those cabs are not good. Even Uber is better and cheaper. That’s what I use. Gautrain too, is good.
Maputo has welcomed you on the money part it reminds me of my first day in Mozambique they took 40 Rands from me and of which now I sometimes get it things are hectic there so they are doing all they can to extract money from South Africans
They took r1000 on the border in the name of insurance that they pay back when coming to South Africa and when we went to collect it from those offices at the border, they ran away

@@PurityKhosa For sure, but on your video there are some new tall buildings as well, or ongoing beam bridge construction it seems, and at least trafic light that is not always for granted in other african cities.
When I had him asking if it's your first-time coming to Mozambique 🇲🇿 and when he asked why are you crying about the money 💰 I kinda knew that something was brewing...
I have watched the number of vlogs of SAns traveling to Mozambique and guess what, they always get scammed by local traders in most cases not giving them change. That is something very common among Mozambiquens traders. In simple terms, moz is NOT tourists friendly. As soon as they realize that you are not a local person, you get scammed. Personally I discourage people from traveling to moz. I didn't expect that here but when it came, it reminded me of many other incidents that took place.
We still have a lot to learn as South African travellers. Everywhere in the world tourists are taken advantage of. But still felt a lot safer in Maputo than in Joburg.
Yho 😧 R201 for 10 minutes. I do no think that is the actual price. He to took advantage because you not from mozambique . Empa ha fela o fitlile hantle

Eish, imagine being scammed not even a day you've arrived. I'm no longer going to Mozambique...
Eish, it is sad. But, I still think you should give the country a chance. Not everyone is like that guy.
I enjoyed this video too, on to the next one please 🙏 😀 🙂
Thank you 😊 💓 I hope you are going to enjoy the next in which I'll be exploring Maputo City.

Hope you enjoyed the Tuk tuk wich we call as Toxpela 😂❤
Mozambique is doing fine compared to other average african nation, relatively good infrastructure despite having civil wars.
I noticed that many buildings in the city centre are too old and falling apart. It is still beautiful though 😊

It is so sad how people just take advantage of the helpless. He knew I couldn't say or do anything.
I wish to visit there soon, and I thought Katembe is a shona word
Tembe is a tsonga surname though. Katembe is like saying, KaKhosa, KaMkansi

How long is it from South Africa to Zambia?
I’m not sure
Hahahaha. About the police at the interception, they don't stay there all day, the usually stay there at the Rush hour

It is the reality of travelling. He was actually very nice in the beginning.
Please take a bus to Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Someday 🙂. Maybe next year on my work leave.
On that trip you could have paid less than 200mt or 200mt it not cost more than that.
So sad 😞. Now I know. Thank you 🙏❤️
In Matola ,why so many trucks, Purity?
The trucks are all over the N4. It is a national road. They're crossing the border between South Africa and Mozambique. Importing and exporting goods.
@@PurityKhosa thx.
How about English?
A very few people understand or speak English here. Portuguese is the official language.
