    Baz so good to see you upload more charger reviews. Grabbed a few of them last video.
    Happy using vapecel s4 v3, xtar dragon, ISDT c4 evo and isdt n16 for all my aa batteries

      Thanks, people were asking for a while about an updated video, so I changed quite a bit. I've been waiting for Nitecore to update some models, and other makers but I'll just run with this for the time being.
      Vapcell looks OK but they didn't send a unit in (going back some years now), so I have not included it. Just wanted to stick to ones I've used.

      Nice of you to do that. You can use the links for any items you get in the future even unrelated ones. Some bookmark it and shop off the link, it helps a bit overall.

    Thanks for the video. Did you consider the Tenergy TN456? I have had an Opus 3100 for several years, and it finally started to die on me, giving me weird errors. I did some research and chose the Tenergy TN456, because it had most of the features I wanted, and the price was reasonable. I was interested in a charger with a capacity test feature, variable current selections for each slot, a low enough current for AAA, and detailed information for each slot without having to scroll through the slots. I also considered the Xtar Dragon, and the SkyRC, but cost was a factor.

      I used the 9V tenergy so included it in the video. I just felt as I hadn't used any others I couldn't know how I felt about them. Some other brands I'm not gone on... MiBoxer both chargers failed, and the company stopped sending review items after a critical review (red flag big time!). Vapcell were due to send one years ago, but didn't. So I don't put up items I've not used personally, but they might be perfectly fine

    Great updated summary. After seven years, my Opus BT-C3100 has become unreliable across 3/4 slots. Unfortunately price has ballooned. I will likely replace with an Xtar VC4SL since it now allows charge currents to be manually set. With that in mind, can you think of any disadvantages of the VC4SL compared to the Opus (other than no individual slot controls)?
    For single bay chargers, I’d want something that can also double as a battery bank. I’m curious if you’ve had any experience with either the Xtar SC1 Plus or the Fenix ARE-X1 V2.0. The ARE-D1 had been very good to me but was recently misplaced.

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  11 місяців тому +1

      Xtar have their quirks, that one isn't bad, you have auto current charging, not always ideal but you can set it yourself. I'm not a fan of the display dials, hard to see (bit small v VC4 but shows each channel)
      I prefer to be able to charge each channel and set the individual charging current - I find this quite annoying on Xtar chargers (many have this same speed for every slot, not all though). I included the Dragon and VC8 (both got small updates), because they might work for some users with the battery sizes. Not used the SC1 or Fenix so can't comment there. I had a look around the Opus isn't a bad price on Aliexpress

    nice video, I was wondering in your opinion, what charger would be best for charging 21700 batteries, specifically with the option of discharge capacity tests? I currently have Klarus flashlights that use the 5000 mAh 21700 cells.

    What do you think of the XTAR VC4SL? It seems to give a good middle ground by showing internal resistance and other features.

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  Місяць тому

      It's alright, it has faster charging if you need that, not a fan of the small dials but it's not a bad choice overall. I have links in description and comment section

    Howdy from SE Texas! Question do you have any recommendations for a charger that’s can be powered by a solar panel? I have access to all other power sources but travel in the back country and need to be able to charge without electrical power. Thanks and great video!

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  7 місяців тому +1

      I don't know what cells you are charging but if it's Li-ion the UI1/2 work just great with a solar panel. In my experience it's not much point using more than a 2 slot charger, unless it's a big solar panel.

      Same reason Vapcell isn't, if I don't get a product to try or test, I can't know if it's any good.
      I did have one in the first video, but they discontinued it for no obvious reason 🤦‍♂️

    Hi what would you suggest for charging x4 batteries at a time AA and AAA mostly Eneloop & Duracell I had the youshiko YC4000 years ago but it broke. Thank you

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  11 місяців тому

      Few options the SC4 is good, but perhaps more expensive or the VC4 is still decent as is the D4, both are a bit dated in some ways but if you're just charging AA/AAA then they are still decent. The Opus can also be a good choice if you want to test too.

    I got the nitecore d4,does not charge 100 percent only 80 for safety,so i now use the older dummy charges that charge my batteries 100 percent,so dont buy these cool looking junk chargers that will not charge 100 percent..that why it says full and not 100 percent,,it would be false advertising,its near full...so go check it yourself,put them in a roku controller and hold mic and say battery level and find out

    • @MrBazReviews
      @MrBazReviews  4 місяці тому

      If you mean Li-ion all chargers tend to charge just under 4.20V, for safety reasons. This is very common, but it should only be a bit under. For Ni-MH it's quite accurate on termination based on my use of the charger. If you have a problem/issue then get in touch with Nitecore or the seller. BTW the D4 isn't on the recommended list either, it's just shown as an example ;-D
