  • A look at my favorite communal setup I keep, a pair of female prickly or Bynoe's geckos are living in their desert setup with two smooth and one blue death feigning beetle. The beetles cleaned up the tank after their first week, and now I just throw in a piece of carrot or apple when feeding the geckos their weekly red runners.

Oh so exciting! That in-situ incubation looks exactly like I used to find Bynoe's eggs when I lived down under so fingers crossed it works out with these. Keep us posted how it goes :D

Thanks so much, wish they were a lil less shy, but w this tank someone is always out and active!

They have been together about a month, that first intro I was sure the geckos were going to assume the beetles were food, but they came up interested and immediately figured they were inedible and walked away. Do you have any tips on incubating the eggs I find before the beetles? Treated the first set similar to leopard gecko eggs in slightly damp perlite at 80*f w no luck so far...

Wow, that's a really awesome setup! I was not aware of those Bynoe's geckos. Basically a "non-sticky" alternative to mourning geckos...
    Thank you for sharing!

Hello, thanks for watching, Yeah I didn't realize they were a thing until I found them at a store and looked them up, very amazing species; surprised they're not more common in the hobby. When I realized I hadn't done a video on them yet I had to post this real quick. will definitely do a more edited and in-depth update in a few months :)
