You can skip sparging with any brewing system or method. I would suggest that you check this video out though:- ua-cam.com/video/q6mInDEwvZQ/v-deo.htmlsi=hFtXIRfS_PnATdbu
I like the system. However it is quite old tech with wifi added. Bazooka filters and old style heating elements for example. So really it depends on what else you can buy in the same market and price. I should really do a comparison video.
I use the older gen one and the 40L version looks virtually identical to mine but with a new controller. I wonder if it is possible to swap out the controller so I get the benefits of WiFi and recipe transfer. The locking tap is great but a couple of times I struggled to shut it when things went wrong cos the lock was down. Also it is a pity there is no filter on the pump inlet as getting to the pump means you have to unscrew the bottom cover.
From what I can see it is almost identical to my Hopcat, which just died and I am looking for a replacement. i would mention the malt pipe riser rod which is a bit iffy. it can easily slip out of its seat with very hot and painful results. Great care. Anyway, thanks for the review. 🍻
These systems are made by one factory with a variety of different options both external and internal. These are ordered to spec and then rebadged by different companies. The Brewmonk wifi model spec is unique in certain ways inc the controller.
This looks almost exactly like a Klarstein Mundschenk with some minor, though very convenient updates and of course a more modern controller. As this is the system i am currently using I'm looking forward to the videos using it.
Nothing about this system is different to the existing Brew Monk all-in-one, which I own and is and excellent piece of kit - except the WiFi connectivity, which is completely new and the lack of which has had me pining for a Grainfather for a while. I hope follow-up reviews will hone in on that new capability, what it makes possible and how well it works.
Thanks David 😊 I am about to change one of my brewing systems, probably the G30 and my minded was set on the G70 V2 but I think I will need too wait, too see the outcome of your testing. 👍 Edit: What abut the quality of the material used ?
Been using the last-gen for a while now with varying results. Most of which probably come down to inconsistent grain crushes. While operating the controls manually is a pain, I'm not sure it justifies an upgrade... though it is tempting. I've been experimenting a lot with the system and am looking forward to your experiences.
I was many times already on the verge to ask you why you never reviewed any of these brewmonk systems... Brouwland have slowly taken over a very generic system and started adding features. They are still behind the major actors though in my opinion but I think they have ambitions 😁 I am very curious about the new WiFi and app capabilities but not much information is really provided by Brouwland itself so I am looking forward to your coming videos. I am always looking forward to your videos anyways. Many thanks David 🙏
@@DavidHeathHomebrew Very curious to watch your feedback as I am currently wondering between the BrewZilla and rapt platform vs The Brewmonk system for my next upgrade 👍👍👍
65l is great for triple keg batches with the boil extender. Rapt app and PID are a learning curve I'm still trying to figure out but works great in manual mode.
@DavidHeathHomebrew I noticed you're not posting any youtube shorts which help the channel grow tremendously. I created 3 free scripts that you're welcome to test it out. And I'll edit the videos if you wish.
Hello, thank you for deep dive :) quick question please: with this system can i skip sparging?

We are 5 months later now, I am on the edge of buying this system, can you endorse it now or not ?

Great. I am not sure if that is possible. You would need to ask Brouwland on that one.

Addendum: I fixed my Hopcat quickly with minimal cost. This machine is as durable and reliable as a German tank.
@Zamolx72 Great to hear 🍻🍻🍻

Yes, this manufacturer uses that design with some unique upgrade parts. It keeps costs down.

Thanks Jon and yes very true. The wifi side works very well I have found.
Thanks David 😊

Thanks 🍻🍻.
I look forward to seeing how it performs.
The quality side is something I will go into more as ive built some further experience with it.

Thanks for your thoughts and experiences. I look forward to testing it myself.
So what is the bottom tap for. For transfer you presumably use the recirculating arm. ???
Its an option essentially.
A very good video as always. I am not in the market for a new brewing machine but it is interesting to keep an eye on what is coming out anyway.
Many thanks Alan, great to hear 🍻🍻🍻
Never heard of this system. I assume its not available in the USA?
As I understand it this is just in Europe currently Curt.
Excellent as always. It's good to see an honest review of other systems :)
Cheers Paul 🍻🍻🍻

I think they could well be onto something here 🍻🍻🍻

I had the older 45l magnus unit it worked great for 3 years before an upgrade to the BZ 65l.👍
Great 🍻🍻🍻 You prefer the Brewzilla ?

For sure. I have a guide for setting up the PID here:- ua-cam.com/video/OyLE10VU4-I/v-deo.htmlsi=PYB0vSfH4QOZq5Zm
Do you need a script writer?
In what sense?

Thanks for asking but no thanks.
@@DavidHeathHomebrew That's alright. Doors always open if you ever change your mind.
@eyramntamack3867 sure, will do.
