Bennewitz was going to go crazy no matter what. He was a super chain smoker and didn't take care of his health. That is probably what killed him.

I spent 22yrs in the AF flying the F-15C/E and was "read in" to some really serious dark operations. The AFOSI would never be anywhere close to these type of operations. They would investigate drug use in the dorms and after that, they had nothing. I was in two command positions and told the OSI bosses to stay the hell away from my dorms and my squadrons completely. Doty retired as a TSgt which should tell you just how smart he really was. Give him his 15mins of fame and then move on.
X-Files season 3, episode 20 - "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" covers this exact scenario. In the book "Project Beta" page 83, it's mentioned that Doty was a paid consultant for the X-Files from 1993 - 96, and wrote the screenplay for "The Blessing Way" episode for which Chris Carter received credit. He also appeared as an extra in episodes "Anasazi" and "Paper Clip."

While serving in military, I was unofficially briefed about S4, out at area 51. Basically was told approximately 8 years, before Bob Lazar came out, made his claims. I have spoken to Mr. Doty via written communication. He is extremely smart and when I brought up TEMPEST techniques that were clearly being used on Paul Benowitz (specifically that an actor can control inputs and outputs of a non internet connected computer given that they have access to the power line feeding the area) - when i brought that up Rick replied that what i was talking about was a still classified program and that he could not make any further comments. Anyways, guy is sharp as a whip and a genuinely nice guy.

Talk of the so-called 'Aviary' corresponds closely to Dr Jacques Vallee's 'Invisible College' who's members included all the usual suspects, as you stated.
As to faked alien abductions, this would correspond to one case I recall, where two couples were abducted, following the application of some sort of mystery technology? One woman, who subsequently wrote a book, involved a craft the size of a building, and some alien looking critters, who at one point, while her mind, was not overpowered. She recalled, distinctly, a conversation among the so-called aliens, in an American accented English. She heard one say to another, "This isn't working, maybe we should just kill her?" referring to her, which only served to further her sense of fear, naturally. This happened in the foothills of the Dandenong ranges, in Melbourne, Australia. (Mid 1980s) Key aspects of evidence leading toward a conclusion of fakery, include being operated upon without proper hygiene being observed, leaving her with chronic and painful surgical infections.
I have never heard of another account where infections were featured, and this happened in the mid 1980s. She wrote a book and did the world circuit, giving lectures about her experience. Perhaps oddly, her husband at the time, refused to deal with the event, although fully aware of it having happened. Some suggestions were made that his abductions were a lifelong event, which started in his early childhood.
Rick has an episode called "The Aviary" on his new series called "The Doty Chronicles". He names every member of The Aviary, including himself (the Sparrow).
This is confirmed as FACT. The similar group is working on disclosure for the Senate.
Rick also will have a book finally come out.

Doty is casting doubts on Bob Lazar's story. He says he has an area 51 entry log that lists him there in 1987, not 88-89. He said in a X space Bob's job there was listed as something like maintenance/janitorial. And he is saying S4 is actually called S2 alpha.

Keep up the good work, but you'll get to the next level faster if you can learn everything that Doty has been willing to reveal, and also make him a regular on your show. There are plenty of people who can validate Doty being extremely truthful, but stopping where it might hurt national security.

I don't think you can take anything Doty says seriously when he has admitted to being a disinformation agent for the Air Force. His job was lying about UAPs. At the very least, any of his claims should be verified by multiple credible sources. But he does have interesting stories to tell, that is for sure.
Many of his claims have been verified, such as his meeting with Linda Moulton Howe. She 100% vouches for him.
Also, the respected Hal Puthoff employed Rick Doty from 1994 - 2007. Why would Hal do that if Rick wasn't trustworthy and an excellent investigator.

And YES he is a real Economist, in his 70's. I don't know if he has become a whistle blower. He has gone pretty dark in the past year, not admitting to anything on X.

I'd rather hear about real abductions (than fake ones from a disinformation agent.) I had some close encounters 7 years ago and saw some nonhuman craft in broad daylight, so I don't really appreciate people who have been trying to cover up the truth, as it's the most important subject there is and people deserve the truth how ever scary it is. Most people that have enough common sense have already figured out what's going on anyway.

With that risk, comes severe blowback from multiple sides, including jealous first tier UFO personalities. I no longer listen much to many of those people, when I can get the inside truth directly from Doty.
Much of the blowback is orchestrated from people inside the govt. who don't want slow disclosure (This has been demonstrated in the comments here). You would call that a disinformation campaign against Doty.
There probably is well over 500 hrs of open disclosure from Rick, most in the past few years.
I've already heard about 70 hrs. Be prepared as his first book is coming out, and more from Zohar Productions with "The Doty Chronicles" will be available.
And BTW. it was the NSA that had more to do with driving Bennewitz crazy, yet he still lived to age 75, despite being a chain smoker. Bennewitz was no different than any of thousands of people trying to be helpful, but were abused.

Doty has details - lots of them. If everyone listened and believed nearly everything Doty says, as I do, then most of those other platformed UFO people become irrelevant. I pay $99/yr to subscribe to GAIA, just to listen to Doty. I wouldn't pay a penny to listen to anyone else. There is the threat quantified.
Those UFO people with that platform, have in turn influenced millions of common UFO people to question the veracity of Doty. However, the effort to suppress Doty is starting to crumble. But you can see from the comments here, they are still trying.
As an example, MUFON's Richard Beckwith, in interview of document expert, Ryan Wood, goes out of their way to trash Rick Doty. In a MUFON podcast, Beckwith, after a compulsory giggle brings up Doty's name.

Lehto, the more we platform Doty the more we debase the value of the community as a whole.
For all we know Doty is still being contracted to seed disinformation. But regardless of any of that, whether he is telling the truth or not, it’s always going to be a net negative for Doty to have a say in anything because no one is ever going to be able to trust or verify his claims.
The major problem is that smaller UA-camrs are being targeted by Doty because he KNOWS they will say yes to having him on because it will grow their channel.
In my opinion this is Doty still clearly at work. Just ask yourself WHY Doty is doing the rounds now and WHAT is the use of the claims he’s making now? What good does it bring to the community? The problem with Doty is that he actively infiltrated UFO groups purely to muddy the waters, and he also literally destroyed a guy's life because he thought he picked up on a UFO transmission. Since he literally demolished Paul Benowicz' (spelling) life and lead to him losing his mind pretty much.
As far as I'm concerned, when somebody proves they can lie so convincingly as to destroy somebody's life, then I no longer consider that person as a viable source, no matter what they say, given that it was literally his job to mislead people in the exact manner he could be doing right now. He's one of the only people I consider to have permanently destroyed their credibility beyond repair.
If he told me the sky was blue, I'd need to take a second to make sure it is, because his deception was the caliber of effectiveness that the Government would physically pay him to do it.
