I'm so happy you enjoyed my home so much! I was born and raised in Bretagne, and French people usually picture it as a gloomy place with lots of rain and agriculture, which is --well, it's true, but there's more to it than that! I've grown to love the countryside, and I especially love the way it changes with each season. Summer is a definite favorite of mine :D It usually doesn't have sweltering heat, and the nature really glows there. The cottagecore vibes are real. I'm glad you got to try a local crêperie, too! I love those, they're very tasty, affordable and often use ingredients from local producers. And Bretagne does have lots of small medieval-ish villages, with the stone buildings and maisons à colombages. They have a lot of charm, especially the lopsided ones. It's good that you got to rest and enjoy your downtime.
I usually don't post comments on videos I watch but I am so obsessed with your content because everything you make feels so honest and pure. Your videos make me feel validated and like I'm not alone in the world because I can relate to you but you also give me hope because you're living such a cool life and it doesn't feel out of reach. I'm also very inspired by the passion with which you love the place you live and the fact that you made such a deliberate choice to put the work in so you could learn the language and build a life there. I think nowadays it is very common and acceptable to hate your life. I haven’t watched your videos in a little bit. So much has been going on in my life and it’s been hard for me to think about art and creativity. But I’m trying to be more creative again and your videos have always been a great source of inspiration! I’m actually going on a two week retreat to a small cabin in the woods next month where I hope to recuperate some energy and allow my creativity to flow. Your trip to Brittany has given me some great inspiration for my own little getaway! I’ve never been to Brittany myself but I would love to someday! It has such an interesting history, especially Celtic history. Dolmens are so fascinating as well! They are thousands of years old and so many are still standing today. From what I’ve read the current theory is that they were tombs. Stone circles, like Stonehenge, were built by the same pre-Celtic peoples and are very accurate solar and lunar calendars. It’s amazing that we know so little about these people and yet what they built still survives to this day. What will remain of us in a few thousand years? ~ Aquarius :)

I feel like I have the tools to make things and if I don't know something or it seems overwhelming, that doesn't stop my progress completely like in the past. I really looked at my process and decided to do all the heavy lifting first (admin, research) to leave much more space for the artistic parts (filming, photography) and this experiment turned out to be a much more energizing way to work. 🤯Love from the States.
