@@potatoisme6953so true! I ADORE his works because they are such an easy and engaging read and I’m on his 5th book, The Kaga series is my favourite and I’ve read all the 4 English translated books including the last epilogue book! I really wish he would translate all the other 4 books which are in the series into English

      Yeah... About that...
I didn't really get what actually happened in that one.
Also, do all Japanese speak THIS deep about life and all as shown in the book?

I didn’t get some events in the book too like the leech falling from the sky and the old man dying after flipping the stone, but i really liked the writing style, how murakami described the environment of the scene etc.

I guess it was more on the fiction side.
Like Nakata was in a some way related to the entrance thingy since he fainted for weeks in that rice bowl mountain during his childhood.
N then whenever he got extremely angry or annoyed weird things fell from the sky bcoz of his this connection.
Like the fish fell when he murdered Tamura's father coz he was killing cats.
N then some bikers were beating a guy whom Nakata tried helping n then the leeches fell.
Thats why i felt the bk was way more on a fictional side

I've just finished Heaven and I'm not at all happy and satisfied as well after reading... The two reason I'm quite unsatisfied are -
    1. Story writing is so simple..when i was reading it looked like i was a children book literally
    2. There's not a paragraph on the life of Japanese culture...
it looked like i was reading a comic without comedy...lol and i would like to add that the story is too short too short....

I am in love with japan , it's culture, cartoons and murakami. Just finished reading ikigai few days back and I also read south of the border of the sun ( in April 2022). I didn't liked the narrator of the story and dii what's your interpretation of the lady like what was she doing like as profession and the child who died or if she was real or not ??

@@Ashishsharma-fw8nuyou should . Although I didn't much like the ending I thought I would not read this book again. Also I love the wind up bird chronicle by the same author even more than this . Until recently , I was compelled to read Norwegian wood again . I don't know what made me, so I am rereading it and now I realise I love this even more haha ❤
