I've seen people mad at Astrobot winning because it's a sony funded game but what i find funny is that Sony allowed Team Asobi to develop how they wanted. Swen never said publishers or sponsors are bad but that they get in the way of developers. Team Asobi winning is testament to Swen's speech. LET THE DEVS DO DEV THINGS. Sony got out of the way and look at what it got.

I'm not "mad" about it, but I do think goty should go to the most ambitious game that proceeds to get as close as possible to reaching them. Trying to reach loftier heights and succeeding should be celebrated more than making something that's both safe and excellent. And even if you think that's wrong, then it should go to Balatro, as that game is essentially flawless in it's execution. I haven't even played Wukong and I think that game deserves it more than Astro Bot. But it's just an award show at the end of the day, it is what it is.

God Hand is my favorite game of all time and I would love a remaster or sequel but I don't ever see it happening. God Hand could never exist in today's modern climate. It involved beating up flamboyant gay men, fat men, midgets, spanking women with jiggling breasts and butts-- basically anything that gets censored nowadays and if Capcom censored DMC, RE4 and DRR then God Hand would be butchered.

I think it's hilarious how now that games are growing up there are more and more people/celebrities who are openly into video games and normalize it. Yet the last two celebrities they got for this show was Al Pacino and Harison Ford. It's cool to be fair but its also kind of hard to feel they're "IN" it.
