      What a shame Mary Jane you’re welcome, have a nice trip! :) Your videos would be a little spoiler about Oslo and Bergen if you arrived in Norway before my trip. You should share a video from Oslo Opera House because free landscape to get in, tap water and WC. I’m gonna wait that kinda budget friend videos and advices :)
      So here is a budget friendly advice from me, I’ve watched your journey plan in a few minutes. You can travel from Copenhagen to Gothenburg about 2.90€ with Flixbus. It’s same cost of from Gothenburg to Oslo. If you travel from Copenhagen to Oslo directly, it costs 22.90€ You should spend a day in Gothenburg! Going to Oslo via Gothenburg just costs of 5.80€ instead of going to directly Oslo is 22.90€ :)

      Burak Awwww I wish I would have researched stopping in Gothenburg! I thought about it but didn’t do it in the end. It would have been worth it... plus, I’ve never been to Sweden yet

      Hello Mrs L, thanks for the support and welcome to my channel. I'm honoured you decided to subscribe: we need some older wisdom in this channel! Whenever I listen to a person older than me talking, I always pay much attention, cause they have more knowledge and wisdom than us youngsters 😜 So I hope you'll be willing to share some of yours with us on this channel. What a shame Mary Jane Glad you like it - I put the lists together for my music students, to broaden their listening skills. My husband and I have travelled overseas quite a lot and loved it. We plan to go again next year. When our son was much younger we lived in Europe for 2 years. We taught him that he would always have to carry his stuff himself when we were moving around, so to pack light. The three things he always had to take were: a water bottle, earplugs and a book (no devices like iPads in those days! 1999) He still has great memories of those days. Have you ever been to New Zealand? Mrs. L 🇳🇿

    • @WhatashameMaryJane
      @WhatashameMaryJane  6 років тому

      @@wayneloveday4716 It's not difficult to believe he still has good memories: sounds like fun for a kid! Especially the book (vs iPad...). Why the earplugs though?

    Do you think we can use couch surfing even if it's really hard to welcome someone in your home?
    By the way your voice/accent is really easy to understand for a foreigner, so thank youuu :)

    • @WhatashameMaryJane
      @WhatashameMaryJane  5 років тому +1

      Antoine Lab Hey Antoine, I’m glad you ‘re able to understand! Yes you can definitely surf even if you don’t host. I do recommend you to watch my video titled “Is Couchsurfing free?” in this case. Keep in mind that it’s hard to get accepted at someone’s place if you have no references yet. And the best way to get your first references is by hosting someone. If you can’t host though, you can at least hang out with someone in your city and show around. Like it happened in my Vienna vlog. This way you’ll at least get some “personal references”. They don’t have the same value as the regular ones but they still count.

      You’re welcome. You’ll see that you’re going to be able to visit Norway too. It scared me too before I was there, cause people kept telling me that it was impossible to go with my budget. The trick is simply to change your habits and adapt them to the country you visit.

  • @the0quiet0man

    😳Honestly, you are so beautiful and charismatic that I barely listen what you have to say. I beleive if you would praise bolshevism or similar, I would still like it. Just try it and I beleive many men will do the same thing as myself.
    Generally, I love to travel but I don’t really get it your nomadic approach. I feel homesick after several weeks and I love doing stuff around my house, I love having roots. Those give me the sense of belonging, of being somebody, coming from a certain past and going to a certain future.
    What is wrong with a standard travel, during a few weeks vacation or even a several days long citybreak. Couchsurfing is suitable for it and I really got your point regarding knowing the culture you visit.

    • @WhatashameMaryJane
      @WhatashameMaryJane  5 років тому

      Being nervous is totally normal before doing something you've never tried before. I do believe it shouldn't be so difficult to find hosts who are willing to accept a kid. Try to get the feeling from things like the age (avoid 20 yo, you should be good with late 30s+), the position (someone who lives in a tiny apartment in Manhattan may not be the type who'd like to have kids around, go for people who live in Queens or Jersey City), the personality (you want to look for keywords like "kind", "welcoming", "patient", rather than "fun", "interesting"..) and the living situation (find people who don't have roommates). There are also lots of mothers and fathers who are Couchsurfing hosts as well!

    Hi Marry Jene, after goes through all your traveling vlog , i come a cross you presented the same way the Italiano behavior ,do not judge me wrong but i presume your conclusion notes as stance of selfishness and advantage taker, First you took all benefits you wanted and then start back biting, Hence its true you never know the reality of humor in human being unless you try it,but dont forget the result is across the board but partial.
    my humble apologies for straight talk but i said what i observe ,
