AHHHHHH so I don't even know where to begin with these two. Enemies to lovers and dark/light all in one (which takes me back to my Delena days lol). I wanted to capture the angst, intensity and sensuality of their relationship and I've been wanting to vid this song for YEARS so I'm so glad I finally got to. This is the first of many videos of Alina and The Darkling to come.
I really wanted to show their gravitation toward each other, specifically him as this "knight and shining armor" but also the manipulation, especially the flower scene. Here's what #benbarnes said about that scene:
"Not the slicing people in half using shadows. It's that bit that makes me feel sick, because it's so manipulative and I can't find a way to condone that as a man. Cause the moment that he presents her with the blue irises, the flowers that Mal tells him that she likes, I feel sick."

I was finally able to watch. Girl you have this soft way of editing that is hypnotizing. It so smooth and when paired with your music choice it often feels moody/ethereal. I think this was such a perfect song for them! Your scene selection for ashamed at :48 and then for away at :59 seconds is PERFECTION. I just loved it!

the way you said you wanted to show their gravitation towards each other and the manipulation involved in their relationship in the video and managed to capture that so well!!! first of all, the song choice is _perfect_ for it, it's so mysterious and intriguing and sexy, i feel like it portrays their relationship so well. i absolutely love the way you do your texts, the coloring is STUNNING and adds to the mysterious vibe of the video. you are so good at matching lyrics with scenes and voiceovers i'm always in awe of you and all that you do pleaseeeeeee

What a great vid! The whole atmosphere is so intimate. misterious))) But i didnt quite understand something, on ep 7 , when Darkling came to Alina in the tent to speak with her, why did he kept lying that he wanted to destroy a fold? I mean, Alina was already under his full control right? He could do whatever he wants without her permission, but why did he still telling her that he wanted to destroy it?
I'm not sure, maybe he was still trying to manipulate her?
