A coin pocket is a good feature if travelling to many European countries. Many public restrooms are pay toilets, and require coins. Also, many vendors prefer you to have exact change....

Totally agree with you on the flip case. Was really excited to receive it but quickly disappointed when I couldn't get my 6 cards in. I mean 5 cards was tight. I'm a Bellroy fan, but they missed the boat in the flip wallet.
Yea, I’m with ya - was a definite bummer to see the flip case and use it. Though aesthetically I liked it a lot; I hope maybe they can fix the small issues and maybe with the second version they hit the mark. Appreciate ya sharing your thoughts John, thanks for stopping by brother!
I didn’t know Canadian coins were magnetic! Regarding the magnets, I had problems with my zip wallet. It doesn’t kill credit cards but it ruined two of my bank cards (one which even had an IC chip in it). Here in Japan it’s normal for a card to have both chip and magnetic strips, and some cards will not default to the chip when the strip is damaged.
Very very interesting! You’re the second person to mention the magnet messing up cards. I’ll definitely keep an eye on that and see what happens. Hopefully it doesn’t interfere too much. And yes they are magnetic ha. Honestly, I didn’t realize Canada was one of the only few countries left with magnetic coins. Appreciate you stopping by to watch and drop a comment brother!
Update: it did demagnetize two of my cards (those had magnetic strips on the the bottom and top).
Also the height of the wallet can fit YEN bills but its not a good fit. Bellroy keeps telling their magnets are not strong enough to demagnetize cards, but i guess they’re referring to chips not magnetic strips.

Try out Note Sleev, best wallet i owned, at least for my habit (still cash heavy in my country) but compact enough. Even has coin holders.
That defeats the purpose of having a minimalist wallet, but to each it’s own. Nice review.

Didn't realize that Canadian coins were magnetic. Not sure how many countries have coins that are magnetic! No US coins have enough material to be affected by consumer grade magnets. A quick google search also shows that Aussie (where Bellroy is based out of) coins aren't magnetic either. Appreciate the review Josh!

If you don't have too many coins or cards, you may be interested in the Notting Hill wallet from another brand. I forget the brand's name for it was hard to spell but the wallet's name is Notting Hill. That holds cards, bills and coins, with RFID protection plus outside access. Best of all, it has an even slimmer profile.

What's the max number of cards you could fit in there? You think you could get 30 cards in there? 15 on each side?

On the folio it catches coins and the flip case it’s no crazy strong to keep the case closed if it’s a bit packed. Either way, so glad the videos helped ! Thanks as always for the support 🙏🏼

Australian coins definitely don’t. Can’t recall with the US and others..
I am just finding all this out for myself too ha. Apparently Canadian coins are one of the few left that contain enough metal content to be magnetized. I wasn't aware most coins weren't magnetic. But yea, US coins are not either.

Hey bro, found a extra zipper inside the folio mini right under the coin purse. Can you check if you have it there. Or maybe it is a manufacturing defect.

Oh shoot I just bought a Note Sleeve 😭😭 . The price was freaking expensive when converting to my local currency. Btw how the Folio Mini feels like in pocket? Specifically in jeans.

Would not want a magnetic coin holder, cannot put credit or debit cards near it they might get messed up by it.
That’s a good point. I do believe magnets have to be quite strong to interfere with the strips on cards, so it will be interesting to see with this. Thanks for dropping a comment and sharing !
Not an issue. Most cards are chipped now. I haven't swiped a card into a reader in ages

I think it’s for both, unisex. I think it’s utility to size ratio is best out of the Bellroy lineup, so I have no issues busting it out in public ha.
I bought this from amazon and got a used product. Someone used it for weeks and returned it, Worse part is there is no seal to know if this is unopened product. Worst part is I am a amazon global shipping customer and to return the product back to amazon, I have to pay UPS for global shipping which costs me more than the wallet itself. Such a terrible experience for my first bellroy product.
