@@ajx803 Ajay, The ink flow on my new 823 is good with the fine nib. I did, however sand the nib, as it was a bit scratchy. My handwriting is small, and I am left handed. I love my 823 (F), though. I would encourage you to work on your pen, but take it slow!
Yep. An alpinist. By the way I find many similarities between Pilot 823 and Seiko Alpinist. Both priced reasonable and offering something more than the European competitors at the same price range
hi, I liked your video a lot, the fact that it doesn't have irritating music or noises in the background is great! one regarding the piece of plastic on which you support your hand, is it something that you purchased? I have used just like a Kleenex or clean piece of cloth, any suggestions are greatly appreciated, best regards
Would you say that that aquamarine is dry? Does it make your pen more feedback prone than the regular pilot black. I want to by the aquamarine for my 912 however if it runs noticeably dry then i may reconsider..... I’m asking because i can here the feedback ....... you don’t hear feed back from pilot pens I’m told because they are the smoothest Japanese pens ever.... i can get behind that because they’re smoother than platinum and sailor. All that to say...... XD. Is it a dry ink?........ your thoughts.
I’d say there is less lubricant in the ink compare to other “wet” ink on the market, but that’s a pretty subjective conclusion from me, so I’d suggest trying both of them to see what works for you - An
The ink looks very similar to Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo, which I’ve found to run very wet in my Custom 845 Medium which has a similar Pilot size 15 nib. It’s a beautiful ink, my favorite.
Pen maker works very hard for decades to improve the performance of nib unit, spending lots of money for R &D, where, same maker's ink is supposed to be used.
you got a point there, but people could adjust the writing experience by trying out different inks with the same pen to see what they like. I would love to know more about your preferred combo for inks and pens - An
@@awritingguyAWG If I had pen collection of, Pilot Custom 74, Custom 823, Sailor Black Luster , Graf von Faber-Castell Classic , I would use pen maker's inks for them. Because, I respect those seriously made pens regarding nib unit's quality and performance. When I want to use inks like J. Herbin, I would use cheaper pens like Kaweco Sport.
@@okinawapunter wow. I never thought about it this way. This is indeed a new angle and perspective. Worth considering. Maybe you should elaborate more on using the same ink from the pen maker.
I am new to fountain pens. I bought this with a medium nib and I hate it. It is very wet. An expensive mistake for me. Seems impossible to change to a fine nib which might solve the problem. You live you learn. Do not buy on the internet without trying the pen first.
I MAY HAVE ASKED BEFORE BUT, WHAT KIND OF PAPER IS THAT AND WHATS THE WRITING EXPERIENCE BECAUSE PILOTS ARE PARTICULAR WITH THE INK AND PAPER BEING USED....
Great pen, great handwriting! I really love my Pilot Custom 823 Amber, fine nib. Thank you very much! I look forward to new videos.
How is the ink flow on the fine? I write cursive and find it on the dry side.

Nice combo!! And handwriting!!😁
Thank you and glad you enjoyed the video - An

Idk if it’s better for me a fine or a medium nib, I usually use a Visconti Rembrandt F. I feel that M is too thick. Any suggestions ?

It's a beautiful Seiko Alpinist.

Great Video that nib shake cringing but satisfying :-)

I'm thinking of either getting a fine 823 or pro gear realo, which one would you suggest?
it really depends on your writing preference and aesthetics but both of them are solid pens that will be really dependable for years to come - An
@@awritingguyAWG thanks, I went with the sailor and so far it's been great.
Em không biết haha :))
Zoom nib is the answer
it’s a Naginata Togi Medium, but you got quite close! - An
