I’ve seen way worse acting example: tiktokers. Ppl think ari randomly jumped into acting when that’s where she started out really, her acting is incredible but I want to see more of her and her acting because I know she’s capable of more serious roles which we’ve never seen from her before. I hope her career in both music and acting continues to grow

But later in the movie when they sing their song together, he's still singing about their relationship while she firmly goes into the 2nd verse with statements about trusting qualified scientists instead. It's important characterization.

I think Riley Bina is a satire about how we treat women in the public eye. Many female artists dating life are forced onto the tabloids, then people s!ut shame them. What ever a female star dose is more important than actual issues - for example politicians complaining about WAP during you know a pandemic. We make news articles about their breasts - Billie Eilish had one about hers, while she was still A MINOR - and when they protest and speak out against disgusting behavior we call them "attention seeking" or "needing to sell records". If they sing about sex, we act like it's their responsibility to babysit children, which has happened to many under age artists - such as Britney and Camilla Cabello and Lauren of Firth Harmony. Not to mention many female artists are exploited behind the scenes or have creepy family members and or teams - like Brittney's family.
Underrated comment. I don't understand how people can seriously talk about sexist sh't, and even less why they don't have the empathy to understand the impact of their words. The movie gave me hope that eventually, attention is drawn to those issues, instead of reforcing sexism. Thank you for adding to this hope and sharing your thoughts.
There’s definitely a sheep mindset to it. I really only think the Asian fishing allegations took over because people wanted to fit in with the crowd. If you saw the episode of The Voice where she wore that outfit, her skin tone looks normal. You can tell that the photo shoot for the two outfits that people attacked her over was in high exposure to light.
I love that Ariana's character is referred to as "bumblebee". Personally, I interpret that as Ariana inserting her own personal reference to the Manchester Arena innocent victims & her way to honour their memory. 😪😪😪🐝🐝🐝
