Thank you! When the bass are playing hard to get in the winter, I do like to get the lures out for pike and perch. It helps to hone the skills for bass and vice versa to be fair. Plus, it allows me to get a lure out all year 😁 Do it! Get back into the fresh water preds, you'll soon remember why you loved it so much 😁
Wayne I've begged you to fly fish for bass ! How about you fly fish for pike ? Get you ready for when the bass turn up !! Thanks for the watch keep enjoy your fishing
@@Anglingaddict75 have you got fly rod and reel? If so you have the gear . You catch pike on small lures ! A 6wt rod would be fine ..with a three inch pink dog nobbler.. this time off year is the best to have ago in the river with all the vegetation died off to make casting easier . Also thanks for previous information. Got my father the braid you recomended , brother got the rod and dad brought himself the reel ! He insisted on black minnow lures after watching you ! A great 70th birthday present. I think you should get back out there after the bass .
Stour is such a beautiful river, even in winter!
That it is!
I really enjoyed that. Used to do fresh water, now just sea and fly. It actually makes me want to think about FW again.
Thank you!

Yes you have and I do apologise 😉
The only issue I would have with fly fishing for pike is that I don't have the gear for it
