So much I could add but where to start. You know, this is my 43rd year in the range! 40 damn 3rd! And I am still finding history, a NEW never before seen cabin for one in such a remote place it's hard to believe. There so much more than gold up there. I have found 90% of my friends up there or from my videos. Good people, awesome people, including you, my friend. It has been a well spend lifetime in my eyes. I am pretty damn sure; I hold top seniority. I met James, rip in 1983 on the lower fork, then didn't see him again until about 2007. we both remembered meeting that day and remained friends till his passing. I have more memories up there than you could ever possibly remember!
I barely scratched the surface with the past and current history that's hidden in the East Fork. there was a lot more I wanted to add. It's people like you who keep the stories going in your videos! Especially the 2 where you actually meet Backpacker Dave and all the ones visiting all the lost forgotten places. Such a special place!
As I watched this all of you adventures flooded my mind! Thanks so much to you Pharraoh and to these fellas for keeping these things accessible to everyday folks. One day we will gather enough focus to get out there and see it for ourselves!
iI was born and raised in Azusa and a prospector , You did a Great job , And your history and info is actually correct ... Oliver Justice would be proud of this video =)
Thank you! Definitely could have added more history about the area and on other prominent figures like Oliver Justice, Billy Heaton, John Knox Portwood, and more recent miners like Bernie McGrath and Kevin Brown etc. but the video would have been twice as long! This area is beautiful and has so many stories!
@@everydayrompn its good , if it was to long people may loose interest .. i cant wait for EF part 2. lol. =) Crazy story about a grizzly at prariefork , the miners named Club Foot , they would pour honey in there hole and bear would dig it out for them looking for the honey , poor club foot =)
This is really cool and well done. I’ve spent a few nights camping below the Stanley Miller mine and exploring that area and down but never from the top.
Beautiful. My uncle and cousins did a trip like every year. By the time i got old enough he had diabetes and was not able to do many things. Seeing this just reminded me of all the times they came back to tell their tales. I do this now but on a smaller scale. since its so close to home i love exploring up thier. Always something new.
Awesome Video! A little mix of everything from history, hiking, fishing, story telling.. Also great to see you practice catch and release of the native bows up there. lots of people/anglers think that they are stocked but those deep in the narrows are native or possible offspring of stocked trout from long long ago. keep up the good content!

Such a cool area! Lots of good trout fishing around there. Would definitely like to hike up to the Stanley Miller mine some day.
Love it
Stoked to see Derrick! He’s a great guy!
Yea, he's a pretty rad dude! A true mountain man
That was great dude! Once again you killed it with the video. I'm so stoked we were able to do this trip and were able to get to see so much.
I absolutely enjoyed watching this as much as you enjoyed recording and hiking it. Thanks its on my bucket list.
Thanks! Highly Recommend this hike not only for its beauty but also for the historical context

Glad it was able to bring back memories! Good to hear you're getting out there and enjoying the great outdoors. Keep it up!

Thanks! We were really surprised at the fishing up there! Hopefully they continue to reproduce for years to come
Great trip!
Thanks! Highly recommend this trip!
@@everydayrompn always want to! Only hiked up to bridge to nowhere. Almost became a jump master there.
@@goride65 That's Awesome! Everything around that area is beautiful. Especially the blue water!
Great video
Thanks!
Hey. I’ve met Henry Diltz. I didn’t know about the glider crash. Interesting.
That’s awesome! The OC Fair currently has an exhibit dedicated to Henry Diltz and all of his photos he’s taken. Truly a legend!
