That one you were not sure about was a male brown wrasse. Colour is quite different from deep water. I like the meat find them good on the chew from deep water. Good catch with the Sambo👍

Fun session, Jack! KG's are pretty few and far between in Perth. Sand whiting are easy to find every time but it's hard to find consistent KG ground in Perth. Hillarys is for sure your best bet. Wherever you find squid is where you'll find KG's. I had a mate catch a 67cm KG from my tinny on an 8/0 octopus hook off Quinns and we were calling it for a Dhuey it was that big haha. My PB baldie was caught on a size 2 long shank hook with squid looking for KG's similar to this video. You just never know off Perth 😂 hope ya can nail some more soon. We just caught a nice haul in Albany the other week. Beautiful fish they are.

@rush.gang.fishing Unfortunately not bro, I'm flat out working and renovating/moving houses this year so we just went and enjoyed a simple family holiday but I'll eventually have more spare time on my hands when all is said and done 😇 for now I'll just enjoy watching you and everyone else smashing it 😁

That whiting session was how my fishing goes. Catching everything that's not a target species. We'll done to switch up tactics

Don't be so picky about which kings you eat. King wrasse is as good as king George, just a bit slippery to handle.

We were finding good kgs in 10 to 15m yesterday.
Drifting around until we got 1 then anchored n light berley.
No expert but seemed to work

Hey mate thanks for watching 🎣 yeah it was an odd one, I’m use to using lowrance/simrad sounder but the ski has a Garmin on it & I have no idea what I’m looking at 😂🎣 just seemed like the reef went for ever & ever was doing big long drifts 😅 thanks for watching mate
And fir circle hooks don't strike roll the hook in for better hookups
I’m terrible at fishing with circles that’s why I don’t often use them, I know not to strike I just get too excited & strike 😅😅
