- New figures from the campaign group My Death My Decision has revealed that 30% of people who travel to Switzerland for an assisted death, do so without the police's knowledge. Assisting a suicide in England and Wales is punishable by up to 14 years in jail, however there are some who think it is time to reform the law. Dr Henry Marsh and Dr Mark Pickering debate the issue.

also, you're a christian doctor. what if i don't believe in God. what then? I'm not a Christian, so why does your god have a right to determine how i die?
cheers bilbofaggin5 thats given me a great point in my 'should assisted suicide be legal' essay
@@thsr6I’m doing an essay on this subject as well!! How is it going ?
@@Yuhhhhhyuhhhhs111 alright nothing chatgpt couldn’t solve
Exactly. If someone said, 'I've spoken to the soup dragon, and he says stay alive', we would tell them where to go.
I try to respect the rights of others to believe in whatever spiritual realm/being that gives them comfort. But I'm growing increasingly irritated by people who claim THEIR (imaginary?) god has a stake in MY life. Even though that god has bever once showed itself to me.
you should have a choice if its a terminal diagnosis.lets put it to a vote
unless you have experienced a situation in which your darling family member or friend is suffering, I don't think you have the right to a view on this. I have seen family members die in an undignified and agonising way. People deserve to die in the way they feel to be right, and we can protect peoples' rights and also allow them control over their own death.
You have not witnessed Assisted Death, search 60,000 deaths with Liverpool Care Pathway then search Gosport War Memorial scandal. Bishop James covered up the truth.
Then if any stories still exist Helen Sheila Cowley who was murdered over 6 months, beaten by NHS nurses before dieing screaming.
I disagree that one can’t have a view on it
@@MrKelso85 I'm not saying you can't have one, but I don't think you have the right to one: i.e. I'm not listening to it
@@bilbofaggin5 your poor brain 😔
So anyone who has never driven a car has no right to comment on bad driving? People have the right to a view whether they have experienced the situation or not. Try respecting other peoples' views.
Yes we don't think twice about putting annimals down
There are countries were you have to pay health care
Why wast
even if any kind of assisted dying bill gets squeezed fhru the red tape involved will make things just as tortuous as they are already !
I believe being dead is better than being alive and I’ve had depression before but I know God doesn’t want me dead and he still has plans for me in this world. I don’t chase after the world anymore and I follow Jesus. It’s Jesus that gives me joy not this world.
I'm not a believer myself, but I am glad you have found any reason to keep fighting and stay alive.
The bias of this program is craaaaaazy.
If I was u I would die when ur really angry cause u might not get another chance
