- One of the biggest question I've been asked lately is "What is the best gun in Cold War?" so in today's second video, I wanted to share what I consider to be the top 5 guns to use based on their stats as well as their feel in game. What is your favorite gun to use so far?

To be fair, give it a thought, it has ALWAYS been the best gun (or close to it) in every CoDit has been except for MW3 probably. Its just the perfect gun for CoD´s style of play

@@DaveyGrimmett hmm....they're also there too....haven't seen ak74u much....anyways,I've played 9 matches so can't tell so surely but soo far I've seen more mp5s....and the way I got destroyed in the first 4 matches omg....feeling they made the sbmm thicker than the beta,& probably used some of the beta stats for initial matchmaking....either that,or I'm just doing bad for some reason
@@pankhanafis818 I haven’t seen sbmm in tdm especially. Consistently going 30-10 but when I play dom which is my favourite game mode I seem to struggle more. I didn’t play it today only yesterday, I might play some tonight and see how it goes. I don’t want to say there is sbmm as I have no evidence to suggest it either way.
@@DaveyGrimmett Hmmm......I haven't played tdm yet,only kc,hardpoint & dom...maybe I'll check that out...thanks....I got 2 games in dom,in 6v6 crossroads ,where opponent had two 50-20 chinese mp5 sweats,who JUST WONT MISS 1 SHOT.....& I was playing with the krig6(that gun has such a slow ttk & is really bad for small maps) .....got destroyed

Its only good in cod4, mw19 and cw. Trash in mw2/3

@@kostisap9350 In MW3, yeah, but that was because they gave it god awful recoil for some reason that was more severe than the UMP .45. In the new MW it depends on just how close you are which one is better.

Love that burst ARs are good and viable again! Loving the m16, mp5, ak74u are my favorites so far. Haven't tried them all yet though, only few hours of gameplay so far.
1911 akimbo is gonna be on here at some point, thing was already super underated with just 1 of them but with it akimbo we're gonna have another snakeshot 357's senario

The stoner 63 is actually insane, I sound like I'm out of my mind but I tried it out today and dropped 43 kills in TDM.. It's really good on close quarters maps like Garrison.

There are guns with faster ttk tho in mw.
Well CW does have more health than MW

I used the Famas in a match with Bots/NPC and it shreds i cant wait to unlock it. The M16 & MP5 is going to be the meta for sure though.

I personally have been loving the type 63. I feel like I can line up and challenge snipers, but I can also melt up close with it. It’s definitely my favorite gun so far.

Be 2 or 3 max per class. For example having a slow fire rate moderate damage AR and then a Faster fire rate Lower damage AR.

@@Water-ym3ew While I would agree with this argument since Black Ops 1 was guilty of this, and Black Ops 3 DLC guns falling in line to that as well, the trick is to actually make the weapons feel different and unique either by giving a gun very good fire rate and handling stats with a very slow reload time to compensate (And unlike other guns, you can't speed up the reload time without sacrificing either ammo capacity or making the weapon a little more sluggish), or giving it an attachment you wouldn't be able to equip on other guns otherwise.
I personally think the weapons we currently have is a little on the lacking side. For instance, we only have three pistols and one semi auto sniper rifle, no Makorov or Dragunov in Multiplayer or Zombies.

I’ve been using the krig I love it recently started using the aug and it’s super powerful
Has anyone noticed how scared everyone plays? I'm getting soundwhored so much and no one challenges they just pre aim and wait when they see you on the minimap or hear your footsteps.
Nonono you can't say that. That would go against the narrative that MW was for campers and this game is a REAL cod where people actually move.
You can tell who used to play multiplayer on split-screen, there was no camping in that because your brother would always be peeking your screen. This new-gen of player doesn't have that issue so feel safe in a corner. Just run and gun god damn it.

It doesn't help that most of the 6v6 maps are essentially one big sniper trap
This year’s launch has been somewhat solid. No broken servers the night of release, no cross-map 725 deaths, no akimbo snake shots, just a lack of variety and one very op gun. The rest is alright. For the situation Treyarch got handed to them, they made it work pretty well.
Don't have cold war yet but I was SHREDDING with the Stoner 63 in the beta. Pre aiming lanes, suppressive fire, and my favorite part of lmgs, goofing with the hipfire. And old favorite coming home.
With what little i’ve played, i do like the Type 63 and the AUG is always one of my favorites so i’m looking forward to unlocking it.

Ace I really extremely appreciate you speaking on people finding and using other guns and playing around and we didnt see much of that in MW at the begenning at launch people did that and that was great but then it went to hey everybody is using whatever their streamers tell them to and that kind of sucked? But rad video i appreciated that like 20 second?? statement so much
Honestly I’ve been having so much fun with the MP5. Being able to add a few extra attachments for speed and accuracy, really changes the gameplay for me. So far so good.
Imagine going to a new cod game just so that everybody uses the mp5 again. Tuff times
Both shotguns need to be on this list too. The Holger has great potential for one shot kills, especially with the more cramped parts of maps and a barrel than extends it's range.
The Gallo is spammable and a can easily shred at close-range because of it. Combine it with attachments that increase hip fire accuracy and shooting move speed and the Gung-ho perk, you can seriously run up to enemies mindlessly shooting and likely survive just fine.

This guy has a good taste of guns. The first time I played this I never knew the type 63 was op.
If the mp5 and m16 don't catch a nerf, it's gonna be MW all over again. A two gun meta.

Am I the only one who finds that the stronger a gun is, the less fun you have with it? I haven't played this game yet, but in every other CoD I'd take a piece of trash with a trigger over an OP black hole of entertainment any day.
Yes I totally agree 100%.I really dislike it when everyone just runs the same bland boring, no creativity, no variety load outs. I only had 5 days of game played because Modern Warfare only had players that were running M4A1 or MP5 with E.O.D., Ghost, and the mandatory Dead Silence field upgrade.
Guns that are easy to use and Really good have no personality . Dealing with the downsides of a gun is its own fun.
Like Soren Johnson said, "given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game."

This is basically why I absolutely refused to use the MP5 at all after getting it gold in MW. It’s just not fun
The blueprint for the Milano we got from the beta with slight changes is an absolute beast for hip fire. Im taking out 3 enemies with a single clip a lot. All body shots. I took the sight it comes with off and added Xtra mags, front grip and the 1st mini sight. It slaps. Hip fire champ
I’ve been rocking the Commando. XM4 or whatever they call it in this game. It’s not the most powerful, but it feels great and is so accurate, I feel confident going into every gunfight-unless it’s against an MP5.
I’m focusing on zombies because the dark matter looks better an I’m starting with the mp5

I really liked it during the Alpha and Beta, so it was the first thing I equipped at launch, but it just feels meh now. Not sure what changed, but definitely loving the m16 more.
Huh. I like the feel of it and it kills moderately quickly. A very middle of the road gun - reminds me of the MTAR from BO2.
Kirg is just so much better
@@zacharymorin4634 Yes! Half of the play of the games in my post-launch matches have been someone with the Kirg. It seems to handle both up close and range quite well.
Haha also only used it because of camp grind, I mean it isn't the worst but compared to the mp5 u run into every gun fight it just can't keep up with it:(
I haven't played the full game yet but in the beta i found the ksp 45 a really full smg to use even though i think it's one of the weaker guns. Hope you also like it.:)
Absolutely love the Milano 821. But I find myself constantly getting shredded by MP5s. And it seems to have more recoil than it did in the beta
The M60 is looking like it’s gonna be busted but it seems like everyone has to move at the speed of light and defending B flag is ‘camping’ I don’t know
I mean sitting still is what camping is, no matter where you are. The idea of sitting back and holding angles as being different from camping is not really valid in my opinion. Of course it’s ok to have a slower play style, as long as your always moving and pushing for objectives.
Oh yeah that’s what I meant, like a slower play style like designated marksman and/or pairing an LMG with a max speed secondary for maximum power
If ur using an lmg ur probably playing a bit more campy. NBD
I am happy they put shottys as secondaries to handle the close range while using M60 for long range without wasting a wildcard
@@aniconic2510 they buffed the lmgs so it’s worth checking out of you want to try a new gun. The stoner is good for holding areas and honestly the rpd from the beta felt like you have more movement speed than the stoner. I would recommend running scoped sights like the 3 x axias to really shred on people.
Finally, a COD that gives some love to the AK. My new go to

The AK was in contention for the best rifle with the M16 in Cod4, Used heavily by anyone who had it unlocked in MW2 (Wasn't that often because you prestige at level 70, and it was unlocked at level 70 but still powerful) was again in contention for the best rifle in Black Ops 1 with the Famous and Commando, and even really powerful in MW2019 with one of the Fastest TTK's in base MP and Warzone...

@KhakiPeach67 Sounds like you don't have enough experience or enough accuracy to use weapons that have a moderate to slow rate of fire. Nothing wrong with it, it is the truth though. If a weapon has controllable recoil, good range, and statistically and an excellent time to kill on full auto, it is a good weapon.

I like all 3 LMGs, the m4 was my go to for a while. I like using every gun tho as much as I can. I’ve been maintaining a pretty solid k/d so might as well have fun and try them all
I'm guessing that the next CWL's gonna be interesting since there's possibly gonna be like a slightly bigger diversity within competitive play for Black Ops Cold War.
Why does the assault pack refresh your ammo when u die when u are not even half way empty?

I was hesitant to use the M16 because I don't usually like burst rifles but damn, it is so good. My favorite gun in the game atm. The AK-74u is really great too.

i have played til level 13 now and my fav gun atm is the type 63! i've never been a really good semi-auto rifle player but i've found that i do the best with that gun atm

Same-I like the slightly slower, heavier-hitting damage model vs. the MP5
I played the Milano a lot in the beta, its kill time is really good but its a little unforgiving because of the low fire rate
All u need is the barrel that improves bullet velocity and you will do good but the bullet velocity is absolute trash in that gun
I'd really like your opinion on all the killstreaks as well it's kind of hard to tell what's worth using especially since we're so limited with how many streaks we get
4:40 did it for me! I'm buying this game now! In the top 5 category Ace named both AK's, 2 burst weapons & a semi auto... 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 This list instantly reminded me of COD 4. Also guns that take more skill to use should ALWAYS outrank guns that take less

He’s not wrong at all when talking about finding a gun that best suits you. For some reason I’ve always pulled down and to the right to counteract the recoil of a gun. Turns out I was supposed to be pulling down and to the left as almost every gun in MW had recoil that leaned to the right. Witt that being said the RAM7 was a perfect gun for me because the recoil was left leaning. I would literally beam kids and no m4 user could kill me in a dead on gunfight
I'm glad that the Uzi is finally good in a COD game (Ik the Milano is a remake, but it's the Uzi to me)
My favorite gun in this game is the Stakeout, really fun shotgun!
The fact you said: "You can navigate in a way that all your engagements wille be close combat". Makes me want to buy the game. The fact that you state you have actual impact on what's going is something i missed a lot in MW.

@@Sur5mePC I'm gonna say something to you that will make you happy... I swear the game fells like a really COD game for lots of reasons:
first for someone who missed "barracks challenges", god I missed grinding on those ☹️ and grinding to get my favorite mastery calling card.
second, everyone is moving and running around like previous COD game man! It's fun!
Third, the guns it self is so nostalgic, most of them remained you from BO1 like the commendo in example.

I'm really loving the stoner lmg. 75 rounds, 100 with extended mag, never have to reload basically and great for holding down zones and power points
Im playing the stoner, too. The ADS speed is a bit akward, but the damage is good.
The last barrel increases damage, so that ones gonna be a must once I unlock it.

The RPD was decent on the boat map but you really have to play campy with the LMGs they are god awfully slow

I’ve noticed a lot of animations that are weird. I don’t like when you aim in either it looks like you’re shooting with one arm.
It’s because the animations are just crap.They didn’t even try on doing it.It doesn’t even look human at all
Honestly they should've just recycled MWs animations, they've done that since COD4 so why didn't they do that for this game knowing it's rushed

I was expecting all those weapons except that Aug because I haven't unlocked it yet. Krig 6 feels solid too tho ( vs the Ak) but mostly in longer ranges .

The game is bugged , had the same problem. I solved it when every party member restarted the game

@@HiIIDew probably just Cold War issues. My ps4 disconnected my controller and wouldn't reconnect until I restarted the ps4. This only happens when loading a large amount of trees/greenery. It did it in the beta for Cartel and does it in the campaign for the second mission

I've found the AK-47, AK-74u and Type 63 to be the best for me, particularly when I increase bullet velocity. I also like the Krig-6 and the Bullfrog, but the first 3 are definitely my favorites.

It was never buffed, it became top tier because of the nerf of the Milano and AK74u.

This game is so fun I played for almost 8 hrs yesterday and never once felt “I hate this game it’s so dumb” which is what i feel after 30 mins of modern warfare.
I’m bias but I’m pretty psyched at each of these seeming strong out the gates. Always saddens me when the Aug is lackluster. So far, I like the distinction and balance between the classes.

Man I will never get this argument. Yes it's CoD, yes recoil is nowhere close to real life, but how "slightly" the screen moves up is still important. If you hit 4 shots out of 5 and the other guy does 5/5 you are dead

significant recoil patterns added more personality to the guns,for which all guns in mw felt unique.....cold war is a different game in terms of gameplay(ttk & maps),but a more significant recoil in the guns could have improved the weapon balance in the game......nevertheless I'm having a good time....wished the sbmm were a bit loose,& I could SEE people without trying soo hard to look at the screen & find them.....and just to mention,the m4 in mw had more recoil than the ak47 in cold war lol(not that I'm complaining,just pointing something out)

The game has 3 burst guns at launch, with the AUG and m16 being practically identical. I mean, burst guns are unique and cool, but fucking 3 of them!? At LAUNCH!? I'm really hoping there's an attachment or something that makes at least one of the guns full auto. Also, what's the point of the KSP? The job of an SMG is to kill fast, move fast, and reward aggressive play. You can't reliably play aggressive and get kills with a burst smg. I don't mean to trash on everything for no reason, but it doesn't seem super well thought-out.

Hey Ace! quick question. Do the attachments in BOCW add or multiply? If I equip two attachments that improve ADS by 5% is my new ADS 10% faster or something else?

Can we just rename the MP5 to DaBesGun? So no one has to be surprised when some lazy developer makes it the best gun in yet another CoD....I mean not that it really matters if another gun functioned the same but was named differently but just seems dumb that it’s always the MP5.
I actually am really enjoying the LMG's in this game, and the zombies are awesome I hope you think about doing stats in zombies as well that would be awesome!
The Hauer 77 is currently my favorite gun. Guaranteed 2 shot kill in its effective range and a one shot up close.

They ain't OP man. You either get a really good TTK, or a really bad one. They're high risk high reward guns that encourage good accuracy and good target tracking.

How it should be
This is the first call of duty game ive ever bought and im trying to find a tutorial on how to navigate around the interface. Like the different screens and such where to go to change your class how do you do so, where do you go to play online, etc.
The animations are looking so outdated compared to MW.
And the movement/handling sucks

Not to mention the lack of attention to detail on the guns, have you seen the ak-47 reload, nasty. If they had delayed thd game the aninations could've been better but right now they 100% aren't.
