I have the same model, also bought from Smart Marine. It lives in the water and has been used daily for the last 3 years. I've had no problems with it. Definitely one of the cheaper options on the market. For the price I consider it excellent value for money.
I bought a cheap (500.00) inflatable off eBay. I waxed the transom before it ever hit water. 3 yrs now and it's still fine. I also put launch wheels on mine. Mine never stays in water though.
Seems pretty poor durability, but what a shame you felt the need to destroy it and throw it in the landfill. That would be an easy repair for a repairer to do - glue in a new transom and extend it's life. Or, persevere with the seller under the consumer guarantees act, an easy case to win. Such a waste to just bin it
Inflatables have to be the biggest con facing the boating industry. Sure, some older hypalon RIBs were real good, but no other makes today will last long enough to justify the high cost. For some reason boaties keep partying with thousands every few years, making inflatable factories very profitable :)
I'm confused? Is this video a joke. Maxxon is a cheap inflatable. Then you punctured the transom with 8 bolts. Of course waters going to get inside. Once water is inside it will rot bottom to top.
