This new short video explores Dominica nature, and features a computer-generated narration I wrote and recorded.
Same as my previous DOMINICA series of leisurely videos illustrated only with music - is dedicated to all in self-isolation, having hard time coping with current global situation, overworked, stranded, and all with related personal matters. I hope it will give you a moment of relaxation, pleasure, and that Dominica's beautiful nature will send you some healing vibes.
If you are in need of a virtual holiday travel - this video may be just for you! Dominica - the Nature Island - is among the most mountainous Lesser Antiles' islands. It is also covered with a dense tropical forest. It results in magical nooks, picturesque rivers under the leaves, and a maze of beautiful hikes awaiting your discovery. Dominica's nature is breath-taking and I am in love with it.
This short movie shows my personal favourites filmed during my countless hikes. Dominica - one of islands in the Eastern Caribbean archipelago, itendured many disasters, latest one being the infamous Hurricane Maria in 2017. The whole island and its forests were shattered. And yet - nature bounces back quickly, and this is shown in this video. Nature's power to come back after each and every catastrophe should be also our source of hope that our most current global situation will get sorted out in a natural way too...
By no means a complete set of the most beautiful Dominica spots, it is my humble attempt to bring Dominica closer to your heart. An perhaps - when hard times are over - you would decide to experience it the best way - by visiting and exploring this beautiful land. Many locations shown here are also shown on my channel, on thier own short flicks. So, please explore.
Filmed in 4K with drones and static cameras, and using slow motion and time lapse technique to give you an immersive Dominica experience. Actually, quite a bit of drone flying through tight spaces - I love filming like that. I hope you will enjoy! All the best!

Hi Derek, the footage of SW Dominica shown between 8 to 13 seconds is spectacular, is this taken from a ground location or using a drone, thanks? If it is a ground location, how do you get there?
Well, it is drone, but flying not high or far. There is a road to a property of my friend located around there. Road starts from pt michell and goes up. a bit tricky at times, but this is where it can get you... still, you need a drone to see what's above trees that surround you.

As it says in first line of description - it is using COMPUTER GENERATED VOICE. An experiment. Therefore imperfect pronouncing should be reported to Google, as it is their AI voice system :-)
