celtics fan here, i know this is a herb jones video, but, something else that’s stood out to me is the pelicans announcers. i find on league pass many of the local broadcasters are genuinely terrible and embarrassingly biased and i don’t even know these guys names but they do a great job of breaking down and capturing the energy and excitement of the game without speaking too much, something mike gorman has mastered which i will cherish and miss forever after this season💔
I like this kid’s game, he reminds me of a younger Kawhi who has the same 7’0 wingspan.. if this kid puts work on his shooting he’s gonna be a superstar for sure. The Klaw put work and it worked , I can see Herb doing the same. He’s gonna be in the league for a long time and hopefully healthy and with some DPOY’s on his resume
I’ve said it before but Herb Jones play as a rookie has been the 2nd biggest story for the Pels this season. To me he has for real Scottie Pippen type potential. His defense is already really good, but on offense he can really pass he is very good in the open court, and he is a really good cutter. His play this season could portend a legit all nba player if his offense develops.
Pippen was tremendous passer, if you think Herb can be close to that you reaching hard. But defensively absolutely, he is already elite and could get even better, like actual DPOY level.

@@lucyfir2166 because thybulle gambles too much and sometimes plays follow the player for the chase down which results in him sometimes getting a block but more likely causing people to have to rotate and give something up, herb is just more consistent and he technically has helped out more defensively as a teammate than thybulle does just because of that,so yea better individual and team defender

Also how can you say he's a better individual defender yet Herb averages less steals and blocks and a whole foul more while playing more 4 more minutes a a game? Like what are you watching?
I feel like herb is on a different level in passing lanes and help honestly his size, length, and athletics advantage over Tony help him excel there in a way tony never did. TA was more about the ball pressure, point of attack, chasing you all around the floor, and being able to do it against 3/4 positions extremely well.
the Pels have done real good in the drafts Herb , Jaxson, Kira, Jose ,Trey . would love to see the FAKERS get the #1 pick should Pels use that to bring back Josh?
