I miss this era this sound so much ;( new happy hardcore doesn't nearly have the passion and emotion the sound is completely drifted off where it was and where I crafted a love for it from rock you softly always will be my favourite track the pure happiness and emotion
lol i literally just listened to scott brown's bonkers 9 CD last night for the first time and here you are playing 2 tracks from it!!! crazy coincidence honestly
scott brown is one of my favourite artists, hands down. come on man; neckbreaker, healing mind, yeah oh yeah... the list goes on, guys a musical magician :)
Still prefer watching DJ's spin vinyl than pushing buttons...... something so musically connected about it. Also, tunes had great composition and didn't sit in a sterile pocket for 5000 years. Grumpy old man cliche incoming but it was better back then! Facts.
You're bang on there. Spinning vinyl takes proper skill. All some of these 'DJ's' do nowadays is upload a flash drive their 12 year old brother 'mixed', then prance around the stage imagining they're Mercury or Bowie. A very sad state of affairs indeedy. Signed Grumpy, Old Raver Lady cliche.
There are "controllerists" that actually take advantage of the new tech. And if you're beat matching by ear, there's hardly a difference between digital DJing and vinyl DJing.
i've been listening to this series for so long that the "what hardcore used to be" is basically what was coming out at the time this series started lol
Listening to Cotts makes me feel young and old at the same time. First time I heard one of his mixes was over 15 years ago, still in university, studying. And now working, married, kids, enjoying life and still going nuts everytime I see DJ Cotts upload a new mix. Absolutely epic once again dude, keep it up!
15:27 Gammer is this guy who takes an already nice melody, and absolutely enhances it every single time he touches something. Absolutely love his remixes.
DAMN Boy you can make mixes. Just what I need to brighten up my next few weeks, need more Cotts these are more addictive than Pringle crisps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep them punching tunes coming……..
Oh my days, now that is a rare, reare sight.... A real DJ using real tools (Vinyl). None of this auto cd crap that does it all for you!. Banging! You sir have my respect =)
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! my work day just improved 1000% :) You should put your link to the coffee donation thingi into your descriptions - itll help you get more coins to replace the Stanton :( So long as you dont want that 60k jonny ives designed thing :P
Always love these little "what vinyl used to be" mixes from you!! Should do a complete evolution records or raver baby records one. Still awesome Cotts, keeping up the hardcore 💯🔉🔉
I think your tombstone (many, many years later, till 192 y.o.) should have the following inscribed: "I want the plates to spin forever......." Happy is in our blood. With respect from Russia
Amazong music set like the last one. The last 2 Songs ...man thats it for me personally. Great stuff keep it up. You change a boring working day into something good. Thx
Everytime I watch these it makes me want to look out my vinyl and have a mix.. Such a amazing era for UK hardcore with plenty of memories with all these tracks. Thanks again cotts from Scotland 🏴 🥰
As a teen stuck in the UK in about '95 this feels very nostalgic. Dreamscape and Helter Skelter tapes were one of the only thing that got me through the insanity that was my time there. Cheers for the mix - great for doing shit around the house and working out too
Here he is :D
Reminds me of the illegal radio station Dimention I think it was called in Telford. Sounds of the deano was epic.
Here we go again! Thank you!

Catching it when it's still 18 minutes fresh. Almost as good as it would be live.
