- In this video I’ve finally found a off road track to use. So we get my Tamiya 2013 Egress out for a first go on it. This was so enjoyable for me to actually be able to drive them how they were meant to be driven...

Absolutely amazing seeing the Egress out on the track doing its thing! You really made my day with this video; thanks Glenn!
Excellent glad you liked it my friend 😊👊🏻
Ah, for the days when we never thought of spares..... and just pinned the throttle on everything apart from the sharp corners. Lol.
Another great video. :)
Yes absolutely my friend 🤩
Even with the spares available my trigger thumb is still very hesitant 🤪👊🏻
Hehe, yes they were the days!!
What a beautiful buggy! It was really showing its class! Great vid Glenn.
Thank you 😊
Good looking buggy, the Tamiya egress, and one of tamiya's more expensive line of buggys for sure. Also becoming rare and more expensive to buy these days. The black wheels on it, look awesome! Great video, thanks for sharing. 👍
Excellent glad you liked it my friend, thanks for watching 😎👊🏻
loved that! The Egress does look absolutely amazing going around that track
Thanks buddy 😊
Great little track, looks bit tricky actually. Egress is a car you could watch all day. Great vid!
Thanks Wade 😎👊🏻
Always good to see, a Egress on the Track.
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
The egress is a stunning bit of kit it's next on my list excellent vid thank you 👍👍👍
your like rc top gear Glenn mate great video😎👍😊🇬🇧🤟👊
Pmsl 😂 love it 🤪
Your awesome man. At least you run your RC’s on the track. Despite being a vintage, you still run it on the track. Unlike Gavin from RCKicks, he only runs it on his back yard grass. You run RC’s the way it was intended. Keep up the good work!!!
Superb Glen. Looks like you've nailed the jump into the last bend (near where you're stood). I love the Avante too but it always seems to get the glory and the Egress is a bit underrated. Your video confirms this as that Egress is FANTASTIC..!! You need an old basher you can blast round the TL Arena until you get the hang of each jump etc... then you can let your better cars fly. Great vid as always...👍
You’re absolutely spot on Phillip, I need some serious practice time there to learn 😊👊🏻
Thanks for watching and leaving me the feedback, very much appreciated my friend 🤩
Egress in its natural enviorment! Thanks for this Video!
Thank you for watching 😊👊🏻
What a car, one of my favourites of all time!
DashDrones
Excellent 😊
Thanks for watching buddy 👊🏻
Great to see it on the track and I’m inclined to agree with you, Egress looks the most ‘planted’ and steady in the air! I’d have put money in it being the Durga.
Thanks Duncan 😊
I think knowing what I know now, if I got the Durga back there it would shine 🤩👊🏻
I love it, will keep my eyes open for one.
Peter Goodwin
Thanks for watching buddy 😊👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends you make great videos but the only thing I hate is I can't own them all lol.
Awesome bashing with an epic RC,great stuff brother.
Thanks buddy 😊👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends ✌👍😃
I agree, One of Tamiya finest vintage RC cars and very capable on the track. Give it some beans Glen, Recon you could clear 1 jump and land on the down of the next jump lol ;)
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
Hammer down on that throttle when you hit the jumps. Break it fix it repeat!
one of the best Buggys ever built by Tamiya
you really enjoyed it, yeah it did look liked it jumped better
Thanks buddy 😎👊🏻
Great looking car. I hope there wasn't too many scratches on it. Brilliant video. Entertaining as always. 😃👍
Thanks buddy, no it was pretty unscathed 😎👊🏻
That track is so perfect, woohooo
Thanks for another great ride at the Nature track! 👍 Ouch, she flipped and did a tumble-roll at 2:46, I hope the sand did not ruin too much of body shell’s finishing.
Thanks buddy she had a couple of little scares but nothing serious 😅
Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Looks planted on track, must be so tempting to full throttle it 😉 great vid asalways 👍
Yeah I’m still very hesitant with the trigger which actually effects how the car goes round lol, more speed off the jumps and it’ll land better! Easier said than done unfortunately 🤪👊🏻
Awesome Glenn👌👍👏😁
Thanks buddy not quite as good as the track we went to my friend 😊👊🏻
Makes me wonder how it would behave with some truggy-type tires - think the drivetrain could handle it? Great job Glenn absolutely loving these vids man! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone looks as happy as you do when you’re talking RC cars!!!
Thanks Wade 😊👊🏻
I'm sure the drivetrain can handle it. Tamiya does, too; hence the Vajra which is basically an Egress with the larger wheels/tires and truck body from the Super Levant.
Looks great, sweet little track as well. You can modulate the throttle/brake once the car is airborne to control the angle the car lands
Yes that’s the bit I’m trying to learn how to do, I just need more run time there tbh 😬
Thanks for watching Tristan 🤩👊🏻
Glenn nice job on the suspension tries team associated shock oil will make a difference, after market rim & tire you will be right on track . you seen all my 4wd buggy all beefy tire .
Yeah I really need to start using different stuff to tune the cars up a little 😬
Thanks for watching my friend 😎👊🏻
I agree, the Egress seems happier on that track than the Avante. Great run again! 👌
I see you had some spectators again, you're gonna need a grandstand there soon! 🤣👍
Pmsl 😂
Yeah I’m going to charge admission next time 🤪. All to support the channel of course 🤓👊🏻
Great to see the legend commenting on this channel, what great guys we have in this hobby. Rc hobby shed recommend I should buy one of these, of course he's right again. The wife's going to kill me until she drives it .
@@petergoodwin2465 Thanks Peter! Great to see you here too, Glenn has a great channel! I dunno about legend, I think you and Glenn would be the only two here who's heard of me. 🤣 👍
Looks great. Couple of observations:
1) Speed if your friend. Whilst is might feel counter intuitive, a touch more gradual speed on the jumps will help improve the landings and set-up for the next jump.
2) The jump to the left before the berm is much steeper than the rest so gravity will try and pull it down more sharply. Again, a little more speed here should help with the right run-up. If you really put the throttle down existing the right berm onto the highest jump, I think you could probably clear the second jump and use the exit as the set-up for the third, steeper jump.
3) Perhaps try running the cars in the opposite direction as well. Should mix things up a bit.
Excellent feedback my friend and yes I’m hoping to do that in the next batch of track videos in the future. I’ve got another two to show you that are similar to this one first.
Thanks for watching buddy 🤩👊🏻
Looks beautiful on the track bit jealous haha
Thanks for watching buddy 😊👊🏻
Looks like great fun, interesting that it feels so much better than the avante and even the durga!
Thanks Rob, it’s way better than the Avante in my opinion, but I think knowing what I know now, I can make the Durga go round much better 😎👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends learning and improving is all part of the fun!
Cool! Front heavy i think! Work that throttle to bring that nose up!! If you aren't breaking, your not playing hard enough!😆 Keep it up!
Jason Vicars
Thanks Jason 😎👊🏻
love the egress! I competed with an avante here in Sweden in the early 90's. change me to a Top Force evo later on, which I am currently renovating. wish you could run a Top Foce on the track for comparison
I’ll hopefully have a Top Force on there soon my friend 😊👊🏻
Looks very nice i would like to see the Top Force and Terra Scorcher go around that track.
Hopefully I’ll get them all on here Paul 🤩👊🏻
I'd be really tempted to full power the first jump after the tight 180 and gap to land on the downslope of the second hump!!! On second thought wouldn't want the cost of needing front suspension arms, driveshafts, and new wing!:)
Yeah it’s something I’ll definitely try when I start the next batch of track videos from there. I’ve done five now of which you’ve seen three so far. I’ll have a much better understanding of what to do correctly next time (hopefully) 🤪👊🏻
I love this Kit , its one beast of a looker , ill be definitely adding that to my collection as well as the Durga and Avante(Black) there asking silly money for these right now so i may hold off but if i do see one on the right mood ill snap it up as i have been doing to most tamiya kits lately just snapped up the Grasshopper and The NovaFox-Just On $600 for the two Delivered thats it for this week so any other purchases will have to be next week unless off course i beg lol cheers Glen Love all your Vids Especially the Builds And The Track runs, cheers from Down Under :-)
Thanks Andrew 😊
Yes I find it always better to hold off when buying, there will always be much cheaper ones turn up, just need to hang on for them 🤓
Thanks as always for watching buddy 😊😊😊
@@TAMIYALegends This is the RC buggy I dreamed of getting as a kid. How does this perform in contrast to a Typhon 3S from ARRMA?
Nice driving 👊🏻👍🏻
Thanks buddy 👊🏻
Thats awesome
Thanks buddy 😊
It looks like to me that this car goes through a jump and lands nose first. It might be because of the balance of the car. It might also because you were not driving the car fast enough to clear the jumps. You can also accelerate up the jump and land better too. I do understand why you were taking it easy on this car. It is hard to find parts if something breaks. Still looks like a fun car to drive. Thank you for showing us this car in action.
Alfred Yost
Thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻
Looks great running the track, just need to speed up so it lands right! Would look even better if there was more cars out there with it!
Yeah I need to find some local guys to run with, that would be awesome 😎
So cool this!
The Egress looks good on the track.
Thanks buddy 👊🏻
Throttle blip in the air has the effect of pitch nose up in a gyroscopic way,but like said it's hard to know how fast to take the jumps on such a compact circuit, extreme examples are on u tube of sky high jump lunacy off skateboard halfpipes using this method to land butter side up!!!:)
Yeah I can get better on this little track, I just need more practice 😬
I understand you want to be careful with the car, but I bet it would jump better at higher speeds.
Cool video as always.
You’re absolutely spot on Mark, I really need to let go and give them more power over the jumps to make them land better! Easier said than done with me 😂
Thanks for watching buddy 👊🏻
Hi Glenn, what are the sizes like on the college hoodies in the merch section please? I’m usually a medium in the uk... are they similar over there? Cheers mate 👍🏼
So cool, that 4wd buggy longing for so long, for upgrade, aluminum parts available?
Not many alloy parts for the Egress unfortunately 😤
@@TAMIYALegends Thanks a lot for the reply
The car looks great! I think you're clipping the throttle a bit too early on some of those jumps, though, which is causing the nose to dip while in flight. Keeping the speed constant or even blipping the throttle slightly as you go over the jump should level it out mid-air and provide for more predictable landings.
Thanks for the feedback my friend, yes I need to not be so gentle on the trigger 😬😬😬
Nice one Glenn, I've been looking forward to this one. Interesting that you took out the bf8/9 parts, do you think it runs better without? I've got mine waiting to be built. I've got a 'retro' set of kit with 02h / CPR and box art like yours with the bz and teu-302. Do you think I should build without the BF parts to run and then see if I can get them for the shelf?
Hey Tony I only removed them to save them tbh, no idea how it would run with them, but I didn’t want to take the chance of breaking them and not being able to replace them 😬😬😬
Thanks for watching buddy 👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends I understand, they are like hens teeth.
Looks nice Glen, Looks a tad to stiff on the suspension I think with it a little bit softer it would have handled better.
Thanks buddy, hopefully I’ll get it back there with some different settings in the future 😊👊🏻
Hello Glen. I have learned not to throttle off on take off from jumps, this helps keep the buggy level during flight. Easing off the throttle will act as a brake on an electric motor my friend. Add to the fact it is four wheel drive, it becomes more important. As the video progresses, I see you managing the jumps superb and have learned what I am talking about. It's something to think about, especially with the Avante. You are really enjoying yourself in this one bud. The more laps, the better you get!! Superb video bud. Thumbs way up!!
Thanks for the great comment my friend 🤩👊🏻
Launch the jumps, adjust the pitch in the air with throttle and brake :)
Hi Glen, I am prepping for my Egress build including soldering for batts.... I do mod/club racing so I have a few shorty lipo's. Is there any way that this chassis can accommodate a shorty lipo pack please? I have scoured the earth for answers and if any one can answer, it may be you =) Is there a third party brace that can be bought/fitted to stop it sliding around?
Hmmmmm I’m 99% sure there will be, but don’t think I’ve ever seen it done tbh 🧐🤷🏼♂️
Are you on our Facebook group? I’m sure if you ask on there you’ll get the answer your looking for 😅👊🏻
Nice track and excellent ride
Berry Yan Lun chiu
Thanks Berry 😎👊🏻
Hi been following your channel.
Where is this track located? Is it some where in GTA/Toronto area?
Hey James 👋🏻
Yes it’s in Kitchener my friend at a local park 👊🏻
@@TAMIYALegends keep up the interesting presentation.
I am getting back into Tamiya again. But so many models are in back orders by sellers.
KIirchener...no wonder I don't recognize any of the landmarks.😏
My TD4 is worse for nose diving. Can’t wait to build my egress.
"As always, we don't want to break anything" - Tamiya owner's official slogan.
Durga is a race bred car similar to the trf 501x
It is my friend, it’s a very capable car 😊👊🏻
Do you trim in for a straight line ? Could also do with some softer tyres
Yeah do you think it wasn’t driving straight?
TAMIYA Legends just seemed like toy were constantly correcting it... looks good though... really wish I could get mine out non stop rain for weeks and poor health is keeping me in
Nice rc. Nice video, but you need to give it some more throttle
イグレスだ!最高峰のRCバギー!
I entered the platform thanks to the VQS
Hi Glenn, how do the car's cope with going the other way round?. Steve. UK.
Hmmm interesting question I’ve never tried that 🤔🤷🏼♂️
I’ll give that ago on the next batch of track videos I do buddy 👊🏻
Is it possible to run with a Top Force over the track? 😊
Yes I’m planning to get the Top Force on there in the future buddy 😊👊🏻
Brilliant, got a avante wish I had got a egress, looks a better car.
Thanks buddy the Avante is still pure awesomeness my friend 🤩🤩🤩
Not much difference between them two cars , uperdeck and lowerdeck are changed other Front other dampers. Thats almost it. But i like the two of them... my avante is orginal e vajra. Then turned into e avante 2011, and finaly a egress Body on it ( did not find a avante shell...)
The plowing angle of the steering could be a little bigger, driving straight feels restless.
Is that a free track in a public park?
Send it 😂😂👍👍
Lol 😂. That’s about as much as I can do with that phrase 🤪👊🏻
They should make a car called the ingress and I would like to see you do them all over again at full throttle.
If I went full throttle Brad I’d break them buddy 🤷🏼♂️
@@TAMIYALegends a lot of these cars have been re-released you can easily get parts for whatever you break.
Super cool car but you are babing it lol
Yeah you’re spot on buddy, I’m too hesitant on the trigger! I definitely need to learn to let it go more 😬👊🏻
How much is this to buy at current market?
Rick Barlow
They’ve gone silly again, there now around £450 😬😬😬
@@TAMIYALegends whaaaat, great channel mate, are you From Leeds BTW?
Rick Barlow
Bradford 👊🏻
Hm looks like Tamiya will be selling the vanquish re-release for 482$ msrp price at least on Tamiya USA.
It's 299€ on tamico.de though as a preorder, might be worth snapping one up for the channel from there i guess ?
Or already done that heh.
would be interesting seeing the re-release on the track here as it should perform better then its more expensive sibling the Avante.
If you get one, get some black wheels or paint them black and add white tire lettering while throwing on some hicaps ( for the looks ).
This is an a Avante chassis with vanquish body, wing, tires, wheels but can't deny that looks great with black wheels, hi caps & some shiny bits of the avante.

That’s a nice looking thing for sure 🤩🤩🤩
I would like to see your Top Force have a crack at the title 🤔
Yeah I don’t have one at the moment but I’m working on that 😉

@@TAMIYALegends wouldn't miss an episode 😉 Loving your content and these latest track runs too They're Great! 👊🏻

It look like a cat jumping :)
Thanks for watching 😊
I thought you used to race.
1/10 touring car Brad, very very different from this 😬
It goes well, wouldn't mind one of these, but at about 40 cars, it's time to no get more.
I was considering making fun owt of 'northern accent, then I realised, I'm from Aus, that meks me a really really suthern b*****d!

Tandys buggys were better than Tamiya crap
