  • In the 2nd episode of our 2 part series with Kris Commons, the boys discuss Celtic's 2012/13 Champions League campaign with Kris providing his insight into an incredible group stage which saw Celtic qualify for the Last 16 of the competition following a famous win over Barcelona.
Kris then chats about his Player of the Year form the following season and how much of an influence Neil Lennon was in helping him get the best out of his abilities while also disclosing the reason why he chose to retire from the Scotland National Team around that time.
His rocky relationship with former Manager, Ronny Deila is also brought up in which Kris gives a detailed insight into the breakdown of the relationship and the factors which led to the difficulties that occurred, including that stormy night in Norway.
The chat rounds up with a reflection on the last couple of years of Kris' career which saw the introduction of Brendan Rodgers as Celtic Manager as well as an enjoyable loan move to Hibs, while reiterating that the creative forward still might plan on sticking the boots on once more.

Kris Commons is just a naturally gifted superb player as proven, hope he can pull the boots on again so he’s the one that calls time on a great career and not a injury I know only too fine about! Met him a few times and he would stand and talk to you all day and give you reply’s,funny reply’s not just in one ear and out another! He’s certainly given me fantastic memories in the hoops and he became a true Celtic man! Nobody should have to go through the heartbreak him and his wife had but glad the club, friends & family where there for them both! Just so glad the “Other side” of Glasgow NEVER picked up a phone for him and we did because he would have been a nightmare to face, and goes to show something as simple as a phone call can change a club! At one time he WAS the glue that held Celtic together! Nice touch hearing what Neil Lennon said to him by grabbing his head and saying “You DONT know how good you really are!” I never knew about him and it took about 45 minutes to know that we’ve found a gem here!

Don’t agree with Kris that there was better players ahead of him at Scotland. He was playing out his skin always a threat from 30 yards ball at his feet most of his goals were worldys .
