I got the other signal and gate working now, just with temporary wires until it gets warmer. It works pretty good. There's two viewpoints in this video as well. Enjoy!
@@MtrayPlays you don’t get the joke, the joke is that he was being sarcastic about how his neighbors love him and how his neighbors hit him a lot for having a bell rung at the backyard
Yeah, I just got a single door double sided safetran case off of an abandoned line because I have too many relays, and let me tell you, that was NOT easy...
@mreil23: You're right...did that on purpose...because i'm adding a second section to it. The tip light will be moved farther away soon. Good observation! :D
0:43 Mechanical Bell not on. Turn it on so both bells will be sounding till the gates are down, the bells won't sound again, until the crossing activates again for the next run.
hey, I have aquired 2 WABCO AL-70 gate mechanisms, but after tracing the wiring, it just makes absolutely no electrical sense whatsoever. Plus, the motor uses three wires. how the heck does one run this thing without re-wiring it and how do you run the motor?
Maybe look at the tag on the motor and try to find the coil resistance, then take a multimeter and try to find they two wires that have the same resistance then apply 12 volts and see what happens.
Nice! Do you work on the gang, or are you a maintainer? I want to do the maintaining part. Nothing better than getting paid to do something you love...lol. Why do you hate it so much? The pay is pretty good... :D
I no longer have any of this signal equipment. Had to sell it because I moved to Georgia, then to South Carolina, and now finally ended up in North Carolina. :-/
your neighbors must love you
Exactly what I was going to say.
Tinder inc iii
Bells are as loud as a Firework No they don’t love people with crossings in their backyard
AY YO!

I remember when I was younger I watched this video and a ton of your other ones. That was like 7-8 years ago.
Yeah man
Same
Still very cool 13 years later!
You're all set for when they lay track on your property! Honestly your setup is amazing! Great job on it.
*train comes barreling through his yard*
legend
I would love to have something like this!!
Awesome !
Now all you need is a railroad :P
now that is totally awesome video about your crossing signals
That guy is crazy! He's got railroad crossing signals in his back yard!
I love those things so much. if I had that I'd be so happy.
That is cool,
always like signals aswell as the trains. Love to own a signal garden. Good job.
Whow , very good, I wish I could have such equipment here in my house in Brazil
I believe CSX used those railway crossing lights years ago.
When you find it in your suggestions 11 years later
Wow so cool i want it but cool and nice and so powerful
Love it! Thanks for sharing this!🙂
You'd make a good signal maintainer!
yeah, they're crazy expensive lately. I used to be able to pick up a good WRRS bell for $100 and now it's $300 for a common griswold
aspenGF8 7 years later and griswold aren’t common.
@@TexasRailfan2008 I haven't even looked at prices in years. Availability must be bad too.

U commented 8 years ago then 8 months ago!
@TexasRailfan2008 l have 2 crossing gates, safetran and griswold. What relays do you recommend to make them work. I just put them up, no power.
that is CRAZY cool! , thanks for posting
The E Bell Only Works On One Railroad Crossings But Not Mechanical Bell
3 tracks? It should be 0 tracks
Electro bro xD
Electro bro they say 3 tracks since they were on a railroad crossing with 3 tracks till they were dismantled and yes I see the joke it’s funny
Lol
Awesome set up! I must say though I hate the sound of the new electronic bells. I like the mechanical bells Wish I could find a couple of used cheap!
You're right. I'm still missing the fiberglass tip section of the gate. I'll have it soon though. :D
Awesome WABCO gate!
Nice! I want a set of lights like that!
I'm a block from the CN and Conrail main line.

You lucky son of a gun!! You get to play with your railroad crossings without any snow on the ground. I'm Jelous!!!! Very good video by the way!!
Holy shit I used to watch this when I was like 3-5 God the good memories

I remember my son always wanting to watch these type of videos. This was his favorite one I think.
Lex-C nice
Were did you get the signals and gates from? Did it cost anything?
From the ABANDONED RAILROAD CROSSING dude
@@Fnfgirlfriend_bfbabe That's a store?? Never heard the name of it. Plus, it sounds stupid. The only realistic option is buying it from the city.
nice
Cool
My wife would never allow that in my backyard. Sometime she can be a killjoy.
Put a little model train through it and make the gates go when the train comes through
10 years ago crossing

Welcome to my ChildHood

This is awesome. Did you pick these up through an auction?
Mechanicle bell still not working.
Yep, it's still out there. :D
Very nice! Where did you get those?
I really need wiring instructions on just the lights and bell. Do you have any?

New videos coming or not

Cameron Kyllingmark hmm. I’m not sure what in the world 3 wires would be used for.
Maybe look at the tag on the motor and try to find the coil resistance, then take a multimeter and try to find they two wires that have the same resistance then apply 12 volts and see what happens.
I see mechanical bell yet the electronic bell goes
NANI!?!!?!?!?!?!!
Casey Roberts I didn’t know “NANI” had been around that long

How did you get them? Did you build it from scratch?
Did you get rid of those signals after you moved to North Carolina?
how much do you want for them?
just wondering when you're going to post a new video about your railroad crossing signals
I no longer have any of this signal equipment. Had to sell it because I moved to Georgia, then to South Carolina, and now finally ended up in North Carolina. :-/

Where would one get a set of crossing gates?
I want to know that too?
I put up a wanted ad on my local classifieds. I have gotten a few replies. Not for the full set-up but just for the lights.
