Aside from roundabout, this was the first song I heard from them. It set the tone for my Yes journey I started a few years ago. (Im 21) You would love "Perpetual Change" off this album too! My favorite from the album.

It's an anti-war song. Giving the soldiers a heads-up, not blaming them for wars. "Yours not to blame" - I can see your head moving all the time, really enjoying it. You can't fake something like that.
For most this was the first truly great moment that announced YES's music to the world. The first two albums had moments for sure but here they hit on all cylinders and introduced Steve's Howe's virtuosity completing their sound.

This was the opening track from The YES Album, and it is a real banger. This was Steve's intro and he was taking every guitarist to school. His virtuosity was actually shocking at times. Classical nylon string, Chet Atkins style clean picking, electric crunch, ghostly sustain, jazz riffs, it's all here in one song! On par with anything from Fragile or Close to the Edge.
Dig. Love you young cats loving the classics. Jon is kind of an absurdist Dada abstractionist... vocals are kinda like percussion. Checkout his first solo album "Olias Of Sunhillow." Peace on earth.
