Don’t blindly pick a VST to “find a cool sound” with, pick your synth based on its category & if it is your genre’s defining synth category. If you are going to be combining synth categories try to stay in these groups: Group 1: Analog + Wavetable synthesis Group 2: Analog + FM Synthesis Group 3: PCM + Vector Synthesis Group 4: PCM + Granular Synthesis Group 5: PCM + 80/90s Wavetable Synthesis The best PCM Synths for Dark Plugg are: Roland Fantom Yamaha Motif XV5080 Xpand2 Omnisphere (use the pcm section) Korg M1 + M3 Purity JV1080 Korg Triton Zenology (use the pcm section) The best PCM synths won’t be in VST form but will be the physical hardware. & correction ☝🏾,Glokk40spaz’s birthday is in August of 2003 😂
@@6shootaa Currently I have been spending absolute days on mixing and mixing to also sound decent on phones, it is insane to try and balance a track that sounds good in stereo to sound good in mono, worry about harmonics and adding distortion depending on the beat to bring out the low for beat on phone speakers, mixing drum volume for individual pads to start, all types of things I'm finding out, but I noticed good prods make their beats sound decent on phones too. Another thing I've recently learned is not everybody cares about music like we do, I could talk for hours at someone who doesn't want to hear about audio engineering and the endless complexities and nuances at every level but on average I've learned that people just care about the end product and the vibe and don't care about the possible days of work and years of study that might go into a track

watch this, purity is a walmart great value version of the XV5080: ua-cam.com/video/MUs5u3YeGtA/v-deo.html Purity is a PCM synth and is a nice affordable one, but sounds very very cheap compared to the real deal pcm synths. I don’t think its a bad VST but because most prods aren’t educated on sound selection they don’t know that its one of the cheapest sounding pcm synths on the market. im just trying to get plugg prods to see there are other & better options for sound selection!
