Hi Des, Seasons Greetings. I assume you mean in the caravan. Standard old school batteries - 3 lead acid powering a 2 kw inverter. I run a Yamaha 2.8kw generator as well. My computer system is 240v, as is my microwave, Foxtel, and VAST TV. I have 2 solar panels as well. My batteries were last replaced in 2013, and are now due for replacement again. I wont be going Lithium - too expensive to convert, and I've found that the old system works well for me. I intend doing a video run through my setup sometime in the near future. We won't be doing the rough road you did into NT.🤣 We live between Narrogin and Wandering and just renovating our old Regal van at the moment. We have Lithium batteries, DC to DC, inverter and Solar etc. Electrics Power Generation and Electronics are my field of expertise. When you were having battery issues, I was just wondering about your set up. We just retired last year and are planning to go across the Nullarbor 2024. Your travels have helped us greatly to give us an idea of what to expect. Looking forward to your next big trip. Your country road episodes have been enjoyable too. @@desmondsequerah9760 Thank you Des. I spent my formative years in Albany, then transferred to Northam and Morawa. I worked in Katanning for a number of years, and had a music shop in both Katanning and Narrogin with Greg Dutcazk. I travelled the Greeat Southern Hwy many times over the years, as well as many of the back roads in the district. In 2017, I decided to film the Great Southern Hwy (My "ROUTE 120 - The Great Southern Hwy - Western Australia - 2017" video), and was blown away by how much I didn't know about the area. You've just got to get out there to find it. I don't know whether I have many more big trips left in me, but sharing my older journeys keeps me tied to the computer pretty much 8 days a week ... there's got to be a song title there somewhere. If you haven't already, check out my "CROSSING THE NULLARBOR - THE EYRE HIGHWAY" film. The issues I had were more to do with loose wiring in the end ... I think. Then I did the Cameron Corner trip in 2021 - more giving the van a hard time. I think I was relatively trouble free in 2013 ... had fitted new batteries before the trip (Savannah Way) again a loose connection in Nowra. Hi Laurie, looks like you have lived in many places in WA. We lived in Morawa 92-96. I ran my Electrical contracting business there until I decided to go to University for a Bachelor of Education degree. Trained BHP Billiton engineers for a few years FIFO, semi retired for a few years and now fully retired. I like that you drive around the towns that you go through. Some places burn down after you leave is uncanny. 🤣 I have the same interest in cars as you and your auto museum videos have been interesting.
