No lie @Malka, I'm still recovering from hair breakage earlier this year taking my hair down from box braids. I was angry and so stressed that I broke inches off because the product buildup matted my hair. I figured out a strategy recently which for me, was first using alot of oil to give my hair enough slick to get the build up out with finger detangling. Then moisturize with water and conditioner before washing my hair. My hair that broke has grown back finger length already. So I'm very happy about that.
I have been following her videos and routines and my hair length went from 2-4 inches to 10-12 inches in under a year. However, I find the hair growth process to be very tedious, although it paid off for me, thank God. You have to stick with it to get her hair length and, I just don't have the discipline. On another note, she's stunningly beautiful.

You are very right @Barber. We all have different story to tell. Nothing ever worked on my hair. I have such a hair type that I am not wishing any other person to have. Should I call my hair type rebellious? No! Instead I will call it beautiful because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. For almost 4 years I have been natural. Struggling dissappointedly to nurture my hair. I left UA-cam and started Google research. At the end to God's glory I came across what is called Dosha. I came across also WATER ONLY METHOD. These two words changed my hair. Now I don't shampoo at all. Only use warm water to wash my hair. I use sesame oil for my scalp fenugreek to moisturise my hair and that's all. No shampoo, cream, butter, conditioner not at all and my hair growing out great and thicker. Knowing my Dosha has brought a great change to my hair.
The part about shedding is so true. My god mom is a retired cosmetologist, and years ago she told me that when you shed long strands your hair is growing, and when you shed short strands, it is breakage.
My hair is dry. I've worn protected styles for 30 years and the length is to my shoulders. I'm going to try this, document it and share the results, whether good or bad. Ty
Gurlll I’m pissed never has my hair been this long. It always stopped at my collar bone. Where I fumbled the ball was not taking out my braids enough to deep condition and moisturize and then got lazy with my bonnet so pillow friction got the best of me… now not only will I be getting just a lil trim ima have to get a full on cut….. and start over AGAIN.
@@calelastyles825 …did u ever use a satin or silk pillowcase instead of cotton? Cuz I kinda stopped wearing bonnets to bed instead I just use a satin pillowcase.
@@maame6768 Being appreciative and kind in regards to Natasha’s compliment would be courteous. Why be negative and sarcastic when all she is doing is acknowledging this girl’s beauty!?! It is not to often in our society where non-blacks regard and compliment Black girls as beautiful so just be appreciative that someone is taking time to acknowledge her beauty. ❤️ Spend less time finding a reason to argue or be divisive.
OMGOODESS You are So Beautiful! I had my 19 year old so to look at you take your hair down And I told him "Now That's Blavk Beauty" Yes it does take time and patience for pretty hair. I can do hair for others , but for myself I don't have the patience. How can I get your products? May God Continue to Bless you as you bless the rest of us.💗
I finally found what I have been doing wrong all along , I was always wondering what I was doing wrong because I’ve always been taking so much care of my hair and routine I was so frustrated why my hair would still break so much and now i finally now thank you so much for this video ❤️
When I say I’m giving my testimony when I start watching her six months ago my hair use to be Shed and be thin. My hair has been so healthy since I started using her products in her regimen!!
I literally stopped doing box braids because I was tired of taking out my braids and also practically ripping out hair. With each braid there was a chunk of hair that was ripping out. So now I'm just doing corn rows on my hair which makes it super easy to access for moisturizing and oiling. I dont ever wear the corn rows out, so I can access my scalp without worrying about messing up anything. I literally have been doing a very simple moisture treatment using LOC. I use either aussie moist leave in or water, then olive and castor oil. For the cream, I dont like putting creams on my hair bc it always makes it dry. Plus i rarely need to style anyway. And then i keep adding water to it throughout the day. I will def try this method!
that’s normal with boxbraids! they aren’t ripping your hair out, your hair is shedding. since you wear boxbraids for 3-5 weeks, all the shedded hair comes out at once
Well on average you lose 15-100 hair strands a day so as long as you think it's in that range you should be good and shouldn't worry about it. It's natural. But if your hair is falling constantly then it can be your products, diet, or could be lack of protein in your hair or body .
Any caffeine rinse will stop hair shedding instantly! Green tea, black tea, coffee etc, just any tea with caffeine. Make it like you would a tea, let it cool down, put it in a spray bottle then just spray all over your scalp and strands 😊❤️
Thanks Eugenia. Couple of questions: 1) How do you moisturise your hair whilst they are in protective style? I'm asking as 6weeks also works for me in terms of additional length, but I notice my hair are in poor state (breakage). 2) When you go 6 weeks protective styling, do you wash/deep condition? I'm asking as you recommended deep conditioning at least once a month, but it sounds like you also suggest 6weeks protective styling without washing hair. 3) How do you dry your hair after washing in twists? Do your hair dry in twists? If so do they tangle? 4) Do you re detangle your hair after shampooing? 5) In this video, you moisturise your hair after shampooing. Aren't we meant to you apply a conditioner or deep conditioner after shampooing? 6) Do you ever co wash? If so, how does it fit in the routine you presented above? 7) In this video, which shampoo do you use? Sorry if you mentioned but didn't capture. Thanks for sharing your insights!!
I know you didn't ask me but you need to keep it simple. I am a qualified hairdresser, in all hair types, and I would recommend having your have washed every week and use oil only. There could be so many issues why your hair is breaking, sometimes it's not the products you are using. Try keeping it simple. It's best.

Lol I just washed my hair and conditioned with your products. I put 4 braids in after every wash and condition and leave them in for 1-2 weeks. My hair is growing very nicely. Head wraps after my befriend until my hair grows back close to where I cut it (low back). If you’re thinking about purchasing her products hurry up and do it. You won’t be dissatisfied.

Hey sis! Can you make a video on how you style your hair for protection, low manipulation and how you usually wear out your hair after wash + how you take care of it at night?
She’s right. My hairgrowth was stunted because I couldn’t retain length due to my ends not having moisture. Now, it’s got some length because I am focused on moisture especially for my ends and roots. But, I usually keep my hair twisted and pinned up after I wash, condition, comb, moisturize. Wearing wigs and scarves have done wonders for my dry hair/ends. It’s thickened and I just leave it be, and only take down to moisturize. I can’t wait until my joint is to my waist.
@@adeola1919 With braids, your scalp is exposed via the parts. I typically wear crochet braids with my hair in cornrows underneath. I simply part my hair and oil my SCALP....like in the video except you won't take the braids down. With braids, it's the same. Oil the exposed parts of your scalp...and use/spray braid sheen (a moisturizer) to keep the braids looking nice. Surprisingly all of your strands will get moisture.
@@adeola1919 Yes. She’s correct. It also allows your scalp to breathe if you are not glueing down wigs, or wearing extensions. I’m Sorry. I wasn’t getting notifications from YT until yesterday. 🙏🏾

Yes so true! For me I bleach my hair and roots so to determine if my hair is shedding or just breaking I both observe the length of the fallen hairs and I check a couple of the longer strands for the hair follicle on the end. I know if a follicle is attached it’s shedding rather then breaking at my line of demarcation. Thank you for the tips :)

I just came across this video now. I think I really need it. I'm African and I have been maintaining my hair short and natural but I think I want to start growing my hair from now. Please contact me if you have some tips for me. Her beauty is something else. God bless you
Thanks for the advice to wash in chunky twists. I have a decent amount of hair but I need to retain length. Probably could benefit from wearing twists for an extended amount of time.
I can only go about 4 weeks max or my hair starts to lock at the roots. Also I learned that the detangling process was my problem because I was rushing and being very rough which was tearing my hair out. Once I started being gentle and taking my time, I lost a lot less hair and saw more length retention.
Wow! Your hair is SO long, and probably the tightest curl pattern too. It's insane how much length you have when you pull it straight vs what you don't see due to shrinkage. That is the longest I have ever seen, naturally, with this hair type. Gorgeous hair! If you ever decide to cut it you gotta donate to locks of love! Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I am so disappointed in myself and so heartbroken, my daughter was born with so much hair, I handled it badly and she lost almost half her hair, I've had to follow your tips and she's gained so much only for me to comb it rigorously and it's all broken now. Like it's all gone in the comb. I'm heartbroken after everything I've been through 😔😪😪
Don’t be too hard on yourself, you’re trying your best! It’s all about trial and error. At least now you know what does and doesn’t work for her hair. Good luck 🙏🏾
Yasss girl I always deep condition before take down backwards I know but it works especially if you mix a strengthening and moisturizing treatment together. Great video!!!
I recently bought a green mix with Moringa, Kale, and Spirulina from Ross, for inflammation and overall healing in my body. I’m hoping that with the combination of other supplements will help me both internally and for my hair 🤞🏾. My Mom has been telling me this for years, finally listening, after seeing my blood work 😬
This has helped me so much. Before I'd keep like my protective style in for 3 months and I would get a lot of growth but I'd lose it all during the taking down process because I would literally rip it out. But now my hair has literally grown from shoulder length to waist length
@@jamaican.goddess1972 Not her products but just the way she handles her hair and all especially during the take down process. I was always rough with my hair and it barely grew because of the constant self imposed breakage on top of the normal hair shedding that happens. But I hope you don’t think it happened in a short span like there’s no magic to it that will give you results in a week.
@@Kimberly_1738 I do leave some certain styles in for the 3 months like my previous protective style I had it in for three months but even when they are in I make an effort to keep the hair well moisturised and taken care of while in there. Well yes that was the key thing that would always always set me back in terms of growth, just how I handled my hair.

After removing microlocs 9 months ago (and losing several inches in the process), I'm trying to get some length back. Thanks for your detailed explanation!
Well I installed them myself and interlocking the new growth took me too much time (10 hours) every 7 weeks or so. Plus I wasn’t really feeling their appearance (found them too skinny). But I didn’t have the budget to see a locktician, oh well 🤷🏾♀️
I love that part '' You have to be patient with your hair'' because I think the real deal here with afro hair is patience. If you do not have the time and you're not patient, you will never be able to take care of them. Our hair need love, time and nutrient.
I LOVE your stuff!!!! I’ve used your leave-in and deep conditioner. I make my own spray that’s showing amazing growth results for everyone that’s tried it, even those with Alopecia and balding men and I always suggest to use your leave in afterwards to lock in the moisture it brings! Thank you 😊

The part about shedding is so true. My god mom is a retired cosmetologist, and years ago she told me that when you shed long strands your hair is growing, and when you shed short strands, it is breakage.

You not talking too much. Love the authenticity.
The queen is back
I literally stopped doing box braids because I was tired of taking out my braids and also practically ripping out hair.
You’re hair has to shed 100 hairs a day. When you have in box braids it isn’t allowing your hair to shed. The same thing can happen with cornrows.
that’s normal with boxbraids! they aren’t ripping your hair out, your hair is shedding. since you wear boxbraids for 3-5 weeks, all the shedded hair comes out at once
I just mix my leave in conditioner with water in a spray bottle
Well for one, why are you ripping the braids out? And two, box braids are horrible I agree, usually I’d just get knotless braided styles.
My hair has grown so much from wearing box braids... It shouldn't be ripping your hair out
Omg. I thought my hair was breaking after I took my braids out. It's shedding and that makes so much sense now. Any tips for less shedding??
Well on average you lose 15-100 hair strands a day so as long as you think it's in that range you should be good and shouldn't worry about it. It's natural. But if your hair is falling constantly then it can be your products, diet, or could be lack of protein in your hair or body .
Any caffeine rinse will stop hair shedding instantly! Green tea, black tea, coffee etc, just any tea with caffeine. Make it like you would a tea, let it cool down, put it in a spray bottle then just spray all over your scalp and strands 😊❤️
6 weeks?! lmao, my hair would have already started its loc journey by then😂.
LOL!!!!!

🤣😂🤣 welcome to the club😫.

I was just thinking that ! Then I saw your comment 😂😂
Thanks Eugenia. Couple of questions:
1) How do you moisturise your hair whilst they are in protective style?
It's best.

But how do you moisturize your hair wen u hv braids in?
@@adeola1919 With braids, your scalp is exposed via the parts. I typically wear crochet braids with my hair in cornrows underneath.
I simply part my hair and oil my SCALP....like in the video except you won't take the braids down.
With braids, it's the same. Oil the exposed parts of your scalp...and use/spray braid sheen (a moisturizer) to keep the braids looking nice. Surprisingly all of your strands will get moisture.
@@jayaye1055 thank u pretty

Yes so true! For me I bleach my hair and roots so to determine if my hair is shedding or just breaking I both observe the length of the fallen hairs and I check a couple of the longer strands for the hair follicle on the end. I know if a follicle is attached it’s shedding rather then breaking at my line of demarcation. Thank you for the tips :)

I got faith in you girl just made my first purchase my hair is so short and I need help and I know you got us 💘
I can only go about 4 weeks max or my hair starts to lock at the roots.
Also I learned that the detangling process was my problem because I was rushing and being very rough which was tearing my hair out. Once I started being gentle and taking my time, I lost a lot less hair and saw more length retention.

This has helped me so much. Before I'd keep like my protective style in for 3 months and I would get a lot of growth but I'd lose it all during the taking down process because I would literally rip it out. But now my hair has literally grown from shoulder length to waist length
Your hair grew that much from her products?
@@jamaican.goddess1972 Not her products but just the way she handles her hair and all especially during the take down process. I was always rough with my hair and it barely grew because of the constant self imposed breakage on top of the normal hair shedding that happens. But I hope you don’t think it happened in a short span like there’s no magic to it that will give you results in a week.

Do you still leave your protective style in for 3 months? Or less? What is the only thing you changed your takedown process?
@@Kimberly_1738 I do leave some certain styles in for the 3 months like my previous protective style I had it in for three months but even when they are in I make an effort to keep the hair well moisturised and taken care of while in there.
