- What happens when you discover old photos of your family?
Raz has discovered photos that his family members took in China almost 30 years ago! His grandmother Leah Galor was invited by Chinese Academy of Science to visit Beijing in 1996. 10 years later, her son Amir came to do business in China. And 20 years later, Amir brought his wife and kids to live in China. The impact and changes of 3 generations over the course of 30 years in China can be presented through comparing Old Photos with New Photos from the exact same spot, but taken in different time periods.
Notice how much more digital, accessible and open China is today! The digital transformation of China has been remarkable.
Check this video to see how Raz and his team carefully re-take the same photos from 30 years ago and Photoshops them together!
I first went to China in 1983. I have a photo of me in Tiananmen in 1983 and in the same spot in 2017. It was very different then, we travelled on a steam train between Kunming and Chengdu, but many of the same places are still tourist spots. Travelling is certainly easier now but I still like an old overnight sleeper.

that's very warm and touching video! I love it! Great innovative idea to create such big time travel concept. Time really flies! I was a primary school student who participated some celebration event for Beijing 1990 Asia game. I was waving the Panda "Pan Pan" flag in my city's square with my classmate under the hot sun! But that is the great memory. Thanks a lot for your video and bring me back to my 1990's life! Missing my home town, missing China. Looking forward to my holiday, will come back to China again!

Back in 1980s and 1990s, I didn't expect China to catch up with other countries. I though people would struggle forever. Now, it is totally different.
As a tour leader thirty years ago. I was in the place where you are now in West lake Xihu! you remind me to go step to the past years.
