This is Dorje President Tempo Traveller union Leh 🙏. I like your information about Leh Ladakh but one thing I'll clear about my Union is the Tempo rates are 10% higher than Crysta not 25%. Another thing is that we are introducing the Sharing system so it will be much cheaper than if you book a Taxi or any other transport. It will be beneficial for tourists who are planning for Leh this year.

Preeti, it is still pretty cold up there in Ladakh.. days are still cool like 15 deg C but nights are cold less than 8 deg C… and then pangong, tso moriri, passes, all will be much much colder.. so go with layered clothing so that you can adjust to temperatures

Now, if I want to cover Tsomoriri and Hanle at one go in two days, is there a possibility of finding a shared taxi? If so, what about overnight stay at Tsomoriri? Do they arrange it, of course charging extra?
No, that kind of trip in just two days will be difficult. You will need 3 days and you may need to look out for some options up there in Leh main market and search a bit to find such shared tourist tours.

Manali Leh Highway is also restored for two way traffic. Timings are Darcha to Leh 6 am and 9 am, while Leh to Manali allowed from Sarchu between 12 pm and 3 pm. Most of the route is two-way, except for a small 8-km stretch from Suraj Tal to Bharatpur is where the road is one-way and caution is needed. The overall road conditions are manageable, there is a stretch of about 20 KM between Pang and Gata Loops which is bad too but manageable.

Hi Dheeraj, we made our happy trip to spiti, and we are back to Manali, but still very unsure, about Manali to leh road opening. We are not sure, mixed answers from everyone, can you please help us, as to whether the Manali - leh roads are open? And is it safe for bikes to go?
Well the Manali Leh as per official announcement is supposed to open from tomorrow.. of course, if the conditions are conducive.. I saw a big jam today at Darcha Jispa so it feels like with pressure of such a long line of vehicles they will have to open soon, of course in case it is safe..

Well, the multi-day tour cost includes everything including night halt charges as well as drivers food and lodging. However, as a general habit, I always ask my driving companion if he is sorted for food and stay or need help.. they are always sorted.

Hi sir, inner line permit is still required for nubra valley and pangong lake or not?
Since 2021 end of season, Indian do not need any permit anymore in Ladakh for regular sightseeing. You just need to pay the Ladakh Environment Fee on the website and carry the receipt of it. Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/register-as-domestic
Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following:
1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time
2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day
3. Red Cross Fee = Rs 50 one time but Optional, you don’t need to pay if you don’t want to.
DO NOT confuse environment fee receipt with permit. You just need to carry this fee receipt, hard copy or soft copy. This receipt will be checked at various checkposts. Hence, people are confusing it with permit but this is just verification that you have paid the fees

I am not sure what you mean by that.. Leh to Manali taxi will be around Rs 28000-29000 in 2 days then Manali to Delhi you can take a Volvo as well.

Well, you guys can go over to Jispa.. no point waiting in Manali.. some they have allowed I know.. just land at Darcha early in morning.. also once you are in Jispa if they dont allow you one day then you can arrange a pickup truck from Keylong that you can load the bikes in and it will let you cross the Baralacha La then in pickup truck/suv and then you can continue after crossing on bike..

Since 2021 end of season, Indian do not need any permit anymore in Ladakh for regular sightseeing. You just need to pay the Ladakh Environment Fee on the website and carry the receipt of it. Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/register-as-domestic
Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following:
1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time
2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day
3. Red Cross Fee = Rs 50 one time but Optional, you don’t need to pay if you don’t want to.
DO NOT confuse environment fee receipt with permit. You just need to carry this fee receipt, hard copy or soft copy. This receipt will be checked at various checkposts. Hence, people are confusing it with permit but this is just verification that you have paid the fees.

That kind of trip can/will be sucidal!! DO NOT travel directly to Hanle from Leh airport. You need to acclimatize well before traveling to high altitude places in Ladakh

Bhai a lot of people travel solo up there.. and since you are experienced, just drive with care and caution and don't follow too much off track routes... Stick to the main routes for above locations and you shall be fine.. you will find other cars or tourists to tag along in their vehicles tooo.
Bhai I'm first time traveller in laddakh,with my kids from goa I drove nearly 5000km make sure you carry enough of oxygen and fuel as anytime mountain roads might close otherwise no problem

Yes
Manali Leh Highway is also restored for two way traffic. Timings are Darcha to Leh 6 am and 9 am, while Leh to Manali allowed from Sarchu between 12 pm and 3 pm. Most of the route is two-way, except for a small 8-km stretch from Suraj Tal to Bharatpur is where the road is one-way and caution is needed. The overall road conditions are manageable, there is a stretch of about 20 KM between Pang and Gata Loops which is bad too but manageable.

Behaviour of taxi drivers in laddakh is very rude ,and very unacceptable they don't like you if you travel in laddakh with your own vehicle .2 year ago i did a trip to laddakh on my bike . But what i saw they dont give you side , they dont overtake you .
They want to kill you
At one moment army saves us from this rubbish taxi drivers ..
Laddakhi people are very sweet they always helps you
But taxi union and driver are worst thing in laddakh

Well, to an extent I can say I agree but not all taxi drivers are bad.. some elements are always there of different kind and like you said, Ladakh people are in general very nice folks.
