    Another way to experience it in real life is when a sheet of soft aluminum gets wadded and crunched in between the turrets in a press. Its very hard to try to bend it back you usually need a bar and a sledgehammer to beat it out.

    All this shows is that work hardening just means people forgetting where to hold metal when trying to bend it.

    Ma'am, I have a question, What is the difference between ideal plastic material and perfectly plastic material? Please provide answer with stress strain diagram .

    Of course the man couldn't bend it back. He grabbed it from the inside and not the ends.

      wrong. It genuinely work hardens, try it yourself.

      @@bhadeshia123 I know it hardens, I'm not debating that. It just looks like he intentionally grabbed it from the inside so that he wouldn't bend it back as much.
