A couple things come to mind. 1. It sounds like you’re using cash that wasn’t from that months income. I’d consider that to be from savings even if it’s not kept in a savings account. 2. If you’re going over in one budget category, you can try to offset that by being under in other budget categories. If it balances in the end, you’re good! Some months require you to go over budget in a category and when that happens, try to adjust in other areas.
@@MrJamieGriffin Thanks for the reply! I'm basically trying to setup a view to make sure my expenses don't exceed my income when budgeting (in whatever view makes the most sense). What do you recommend to achieve this in the Tiller foundation template?
To sign up, it's an annual fee of $79. And it has a 30 day free trial to test it out. Plus, they offer a full refund if you don't like it! Here's their pricing page - www.tillerhq.com/pricing/
Great question! After your paycheck hits your bank account, the transaction should show up in the Categories tab of your spreadsheet. Then categorize it as Income. Tiller will automatically that to your Monthly Budget. So you don’t really need to adjust it, just categorize it as it comes in.
What do you think is the most intriguing part of Tiller Money's monthly budget? I'd love to know.
thank you . life saving
Happy to help!!!
is there any way you can auto populate the monthly data within the categories tab?
How should I budget with existing cash to cover months where my expected expense is more than expected income in the monthly budget view?
