I just watched her bio movie, ' Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of my Voice' ... And I Love her even more!
What a life; what a woman. Her independent spirit, in always staying True to Herself -- especially in a male-dominated industry is highly admirable. I saw her 3xs in concert & at the end of Each One ... We (the audiences) didn't want to let her go! Linda was born to be heard 🎶 !

In these days of autotune and limited natural purity and power of the voice -Ronstadt remains remarkable. She got off that celebrity treadmill by choice, was a pinup with killer pipes. An opinionated soul, a warm heart and very very private. Her memoir is a groovy musical read but she is still elusive. Wishing her well and thanks for the songs and that wonderous voice. MusicMC1 I'm not religious and I didn't pick up a religious thread in her talk, but I haven't listened to this cept once a few months ago.
I think people get character all kinds of ways. Being famous tests those people, and they go all kinds of directions with the pressure and their own response to fame. She's chose to make a political (my point of view) statement about immigrants, when it could have been "all about me". That subtle manouver she made was priceless and told of her human priorities. It probably aliented some fans and encouraged some other fans.
I think borders are a human construct. Whatever the purpose of borders was (?) it isn't doing us any good today.
An immigrant is merely a human who is just "somebody from some other place".
      That's my take anyway.
      I enjoyed hearing her humanity.

I grew up listening to this most lovely of voices. I have had a very hard time comprehending that this great voice has been silenced now by this most cruel disease. Linda Ronstadt should have been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, long ago. Perhaps now, she will indeed be so. Thank you Linda, for all the wonderful memories and all your wonderful tunes and for your pure, 'clear as day' voice. One of a kind you are. Many hold their candles to you, not to mention, their careers. Peace.

As a contemporary of Linda Ronstadt, I grew up with her soulful music as backdrop of our era--Radio on 24/7 records and concerts. All boomers look back and say "good times". Her voice was so pure, it grieves me that she has to endure Parkinson's and that it robbed her of her beautiful voice. As I also live with a disability, I understand her bravery as she fights her illness each day with such dignity. Love you, Linda!

Linda had it all, and she could sing it all.

The first live concert I ever went to was the "Mad Love" tour at the Boston Garden. I wore my concert shirt to school the next day and some of my friends made fun of me. I was a 16 year old kid that was supposed be listening to metal or hard rock bands. I didn't care, I thought Linda totally rocked and was awesome. Thank you Linda for all your great music. I hope you are still enjoying retirement!

UNIONS finally had to enforce EVEN after Laws were Made..... but then a LAW, Does not Save yew. Thanks ❤😊for your great Comment, me two....and I am not gay yet, and That POOP is crazy and I doubt half uv em are true. But YES, them are peapuls as well. She and Emmy Lou were my idols! It's funny. I use to sing in a little country band and sang her songs. I remember some of them, but just a hand full. I have essential tremors now, kind of like Parkinson's. I shake too. It is a progressive disease. Although progress would make you think it will get better! Lol! It helps to have a sense of humor! Well, trolls are called that for a reason! It is my experience that snide, bitchy commenters always fail to do their homework. In this instance- concerning Linda: My late father was a resident in Tucson for more than fifty years. One of the things I clearly recall: the Ronstadt family, Tucsonans for decades as well, set about restoring an old church which had, over time, fallen into neglect and disrepair. I believe it was La Iglesia De San Javier. Anyway, the Ronstadts used their own money, creating substantial public interest in this landmark, and restored a beloved house of worship to its former splendor.

I like Linda Ronstadt and I have sympathy for suffering People. Personally I was diagnosed With bone cancer in 1987 at the age of 15. Chemo, a leg lost and kidney failure followed. Agony. Perspective People. Linda is an old lady and nobody gets out of life alive. She is not complaining publicly, everyone else is on her behalf. I wish her well but she had her heyday and nothing lasts forever. I treasure great art and 75% of the art I consume every day has a dead provider. Thankyou for the Works.

Sorry for what you went thru at 15. Far as Perspective, (1) the dramatic loss of a gift of expression (and livelihood!), and Linda had a rare gift, can feel like a death, (2) I hope you live long enough to be such an "old lady" so you also gain Perspective on others' suffering & loss

+aquavitvibes72 Well, that is a strange, unique way of putting it, but Linda would probably agree with you. In fact, she does say that pretty much, that she "had her day at the trough" and that it was a long one. She is grateful for that and just as insightful as you are, but surely you can understand this is a fan site and fans here of course don't relish the idea of losing a loved one.

I had the pleasure and honor to see Linda perform with The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. She was their special guest.
Towards the end of the concert she reemerged to sing with the choir again. But this time, she simply stepped in amongst the members, without any fanfare and joined them in song.
If she has an ego she certainly is mature and professional enough to know when to leave it behind.

I live in Malaysia and am a few years older than Linda. I have loved her singing ever since I first heard her on tape in the 1980s, and whatever aspects of her personality that are revealed in the interviews. Her singing is my 'lullaby' at night. Hard though it may seem to bear with such an unexpected affliction, I hope Linda remains positive, as she is at this interview. It's so telling that when asked about anger, she expresses anger at injustice to other people and not at getting Parkinson's.

Young Linda's beauty was the stuff of legends. With age also comes wisdom, young ladies of today listen to what Linda has to say.
