I'll admit that I've not watched the video through yet but I wanted to say kudos to you, man. Your output and production of your own creativity -- on the subjecy of creativity -- is authentically grade A.
Man I’ve held back from writing a comment to show my appreciation to you and the time you spend making these videos. You really dragged me out the slump I was in creatively, thanks to you and your videos I’m more open to put myself out there. The real me! Thank you!
Makes me feel like it's worth it to hear these practically helped you with your work/creative journey. Glad you can feel the time and care I put in, and thanks for jumping down into the comments and dropping the support - it matters.
My new favourite youTube channel. I have a small (3000 sub) channel and there isn't a single resource on the internet more important to me than this channel. Thank you.
Really appreciate that - means a lot that the stuff I make can be valuable to creators like that. Thanks for taking the time to spread the support in the comments too.
That's really great to hear, and I like that description of what I'm trying to do here. Glad that you feel bolstered up to push forward with what you want for your own work. And thanks for dropping the comment - it matters.
Yup. Inspiration seems to be everywhere else for me but the studio. The studio is where my Inspirations are used as fuel to produce art. But in order to actually build up that well of Inspiration I need to disconnect from the studio and go seek experiences. As always, love your videos.
Okayyyy but the timely 👑🐝 reference.... Love it! Always appreciate how much you manage to pack into these videos👌👌 Edit: got to the end of the video and you've got Kendrick in here too. This is just great!
Glad you picked up the queen bee reference - when I saw that post I knew I had to get it in here. Thanks for taking the time to drop the support here and yeah, glad you enjoyed this one.
Incredible vid so well put together and thoughtful. Art in any form to me is taking all your life experiences and thoughts and trying to express them through an emotional reflection through image or music.
Musical adaptability is something I am very interested in, so here are two examples. In Jazz, PeeWee Russell, my favorite clarinetist, started playing Dixie Land Jazz in the '20s; by the 60s, he was playing with Thelonious Monk. 'Nuff said. In Rock, it would have to be The Flaming Lips. If you were to play Oh My Gawd & Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robot to someone who had never heard of them, they would think they were two completely different bands. I admire & respect this ability to change & grow both as one's views & craft changes & as the world around them continues its journey. I wish you well.
Love this. Thanks for dropping those examples in here. The ability to bring new ideas and inspiration through movement between genres or ways of working, was something I really wanted to put forward here - so I'm glad that piece of the video connected for you. I really aspire to be free in genre in my own work outside of video (and a little bit inside I guess), so thanks again for those examples.

@@lilbatty It's something I've been working on over the past 5 or 6 years. I've had moments of intense enthusiasm and work for periods of anywhere between a week to 4 months straight. I just don't know what triggers those moments. It's a slow burn but I consider it my life's work.
“I consider it my life’s work.” That sounds like a big burden to cary and a lot of pressure, I don’t think that I would ever release anything if I had that kind of mindset. Try changing that thought and the enthusiasm to do more work on a regular basis should come.
Never heard it b4 but the perspective is heavy. I’d do what I can but a 1k miles it’s a 1k miles 🤕 meditation detachment it’s like going for a bike ride or walking the streets of a city you’d notice so much more things you might never have.
@@Loch1210 It can be enjoyable to be in the wild. Most people die without going on a true adventure. Most need to know, need a plan to do anything, but it's only when those needs are let go that anything can happen. You'd be surprised at how enjoyable it can be, it's an experience, it can't be explained. And yeah, it sucks at first, but after a while, after you get over the need for a routine buzz of distraction, then it's you and adventure. I hiked/hitchhiked across the United States when I was 21, and when I was 27 I hiked the Appalachian trail. Both were enjoyable, sometimes because I stumbled onto a fun time, sometimes because times got hard, and I got to learn what I was made of. If you enjoy learning, then you'd enjoy it.

amazing video bro!!
The point you’re missing is; that everyone has lived experience, and that it is talent that catalyzes those experiences into great works of art.
The London perambulator mentioned here is fantastic!
I love to travel by road in Africa over flying 😊 it answers questions you didn't remember you had

My problem right now is that I can't sit down and do the work.

When it feels genuine and authentic u know what your doing is right
I dont think u can force genuine work its more like you have to channel energy and inspiration from the universe/subconscious
