The only two rounds that had any domination were 10 and 11, and you know that. I had this fight as a drawby rounds. But if I were to score it overall, Loma was the obvious winner in a VERY competitive fight
@gorillamafia5144 Yeah the stats dont really favor loma. He threw more punches and only landed like 14 more. Thats not good thats bad. Also if we take into account loma was just trying to touch haney instead of do any damage with the punches he was throwing especially with the flurries. Its even worse to go by the stats. Most judges favor the fighter that lands the better shots over volume if theres no steam on those punches.
That body work was not landing clean most of the time and you think a few clean body shots means he landed a 100 body shots most or half of his body shots were blocked and his "jab" bro was hitting air or gloves
After watching the 12th round, Haney won the fight 7 rounds to 5. Loma *almost* did enough to draw in the last 4 rounds. Had Loma won the 12th round, even if he just barely won it, the fight is a draw. He needed a knockdown in round 12 (or another dominant round like 10 and 11) to win decisively on my card. Loma’s 10th and 11th round were so dominant I wouldn’t have been upset if it was called a draw, but with Devin winning 7 of the first 9 rounds, plus the 12th, Loma did not do enough to win here. Any way you slice it, Devin won this fight

I remember so many people gave loma round 1. Watching it back now theres no way in hell loma won round 1. He didnt do anything for like the first 2 minutes of the round. Then he throws a flurry with like 20 seconds left lands maybe 2 punches. So he wins the round? No way.

@@CipherSerpico Because up till round 10 it was a complete draw. Haney landed body shots and Loma was landing the straight lefts to Haney's head cleanly + combos. There's no way you could give most early rounds to Haney. After that 10 and 11 Loma took. And 12 was either a draw or Haney.
Tim and the other guy were so biased towards loma in the commentary. Haney would land something effective and loma would land a light jab and those two would be like "and a jab from lomach" or "haney needs to do x to get y". Haney would clearly win an exchange and Bradley would say "haney needs to throw in combinations". I dont dislike Bradley or the other guy, but Andre was the only one who was making sense. It seemed like he was trying to balance out the biased commentary by sounding in haneys favour.

@@Bobo28919 The reason ward said that is because loma in the early to mid rounds was landing basically pitty pat punches or grazing shots. Cause he wasnt putting anything on his punches in any of those flurries he was doing. It was around round 9 when loma actually put steam on his punches and turned up. But at that point it was too late. Haney had a huge lead at that point. I honestly dont understand how this was a hard fight to score. It was close only because loma had 4 rounds he clearly won. 1 more if you want to give him the swing round in round 3. But the other 7 or 8rounds were clearly haney rounds because he was consistently working and landing better shots. In some of those flurries also loma gets tagged in between his shots and the commentators dont say anything. To me the only scorecards you could have for this fight is 8-4 haney or 7-5 haney. I rewatched the fight pretending i was rooting for loma and i still couldnt give him more than 5 rounds. Because if you look at the rounds one by one from Round 1 all the way to about round 8. Haney is up big because loma is using a lot of movement but not doing anything for about 2minutes in every round up to that point with the exception of round 3 where you can clearly see loma actually being more consistent throughout the round (thats why i gave loma that round even though its a swing round).
That's BS he didn't smoke him in the whole second half he smoked him in 1 round and that's 11 and won 2 more rounds, Haney won 5 rounds out of the first 6 and won 3 rounds in Last 6 rounds, it's a clear win for Haney I thought Loma needed a ko to win by the end of the 9th round because Haney won 7 rounds by then and then he weathered the storm adjust and came back to win the last round, it was 8 - 4 Haney, great performance by the weight drained young man, Loma held his own and made it competitive and had great rounds but not enough to get the decision.
Calling this fight a robbery is really unfair to Haney....people keep forgetting how Jamaine Ortiz was actually "Robbed" of victory against Loma! That was a much more closer fight than this! This fight could've gone either way....I expected Loma to learn from the Teofimo & Jamaine Ortiz fight....Loma barely wins his Rounds while Haney has a lil more separation in the rounds he won! Loma had some eye catching shots in the championship rounds...but Haney had enough wiggle room to Win one of the last 3 rounds and still end the fight confident of close UD or SD! and......a draw would've been accepted either way!
I feel for loma man robbed before and again. I feel like he’s done with the boxing. And all those commentators they are so manipulative bias they dont call so many of the lomass landed punches in the earlier rounds but call every punches haney throws and so many of the punches were blocked. After watching it 3 times the last without audio have Haney winning rounds 1,2,4,6,8 and 12. (all close rounds) i have Loma winning rounds 3 and beating the dog shit out of Haney in rounds 7,9,10 and 11. It was an entertaining fight and Loma dominated late. The body punches saved Haney for the fight i have Haney 7-5. The rounds Haney won were close but the rounds Loma won were not close. All that said it still ads up to Haney 7-5. My fav fighters are Bud and Tank so i have no vested interest in none of these two fighters i am only going based off of what i see. Very high IQ chess match fight i thought it was quite a good fight.

The punches loma landed looked good and more aggressive but Haney body work and constant hitting throughout the rounds even when the commentators were talking and not highlighting it. From watching the fight, Haney was getting hit a lot on the face and Loma landed way more punches by counting them throughout the fight. The scorecards even showed 115-113 for Loma. I wanted Haney to win, but Loma won almost every round and should’ve won IMO.
I was in attendance, and have rewatched the fight about 5 times now. The first half of the fight was very competitive. Nearly every round was close. Rounds 5 and 6 were the clearest rounds I had for Devin. In my opinion, if you didnt have the fight even or close to even entering the 7th or 8th round, then you were being biased in one fighter's favor or the other. Loma took over in the 2nd half of the fight. I gave Loma rounds 7 to 11. Rounds 8 through 11 was the most one-sided stretch of the fight by far, with rounds 10 and 11 being dominant by Loma. Round 11 was a thing of beauty. Devin fought hard and did better in the 12th, and I gave him that round but this narrative people are trying to spin that he clearly took that round is atrocious. It was a close round. IMO 8-4, 7-5 to Loma were the most appropriate scores for the fight. It was great fight, high-level, fast-paced stuff. It was awesome to witness it in person, but the wrong guy was given the decision. An overwhelming majority of the crowd was furious and rightfully so, including a lot of Haney supporters. It was a competitive, but just because it was competitive does not mean that there wasn't a clear winner. Lomachenko was the clear winner and should be the undisputed lightweight champion. But boxing will be boxing. What goes on inside of the ring between two competitors coming to win is real, but the results are too often not. It sucks because I love this sport and have loved it for ages, but the blatant corruption and audacity from these corrupt officials that constantly insult the intelligence of fans is sickening. I truly hope things better, but I'm not counting on it. Every fight is going to get the catch after the fact or stream treatment until Inoue-Fulton and Bud-Spence get down for me.
If you gave haney rounds 5, 6 and 12 and round 1 to 4 were very competitive then thats 7 rounds that are either for haney or not clear, how on earth can you then say loma was a "clear winner"?

another fight where the camerawork ruined it for anyone that didnt see it live so many punches were hard to determine because the camera guys wanted to be micheal bay we dont need action movie camera or constant switching every 2 seconds, just video the fight at a still shot from a good distance with a clear side view of both fighters, it makes no sense to film the fight from an angle where one of the guys' back is to the camera obscuring what is going on in front between the two of them they need to fire the whole film crew that shot this fight

Rewatching that 10th round I initially had Loma winning it. I don’t have a problem with still giving it to him. But dev had some good work in there that was ignored with about 45 seconds left in the round Devin hits Loma with 3 clean shots (jab to the head, right to the body, left hook to the head) that gets completely ignored by the announcers. Visually the early flurry that Loma got Devin off balance (even though most of the punches didn’t land) look better to the crowd so I can see giving the round to him. But it’s not crazy to see Devin getting that round. Loma backed up the rest of the round trying to recover from the body shot.

Listen to what is said about Dave Moretti at about 1:02:00. That says it all. Also check starting about 1:03:00 and see Max Kellerman's scorecard. Both he and Mark agree Loma won as does Shakur 1:12:00. They show the numbers. Everything favors Loma. This was clearly corrupt judging.
The corruption in boxing sickens me - Loma won that fight. I watched it twice now. The commentators are ridiculously biased in favor or Haney. So many shots from Haney that they're screaming in awe at, didn't even land remotely clean - while Loma is snapping out several punches landing clean and it's either silent, or they somehow find a way to praise Haney for some mid off balance counter. Watch the fight THEN watch it AGAIN on MUTE 👀Loma won that 8-4 or 7-5 at worst. Loma not coming out in the 12th looking to finish him is the only thing I give to Haney. Loma coasting in the 12th and freely giving the momentum back to Haney after controlling and then dominating in the whole 2nd half of the fight was tragic to watch. Round 4, Haney won. Loma hit him with a couple very clean check hooks but didn’t do enough to win the round. Devin fought extremely well of the back foot and touched Loma with counters every time he took a shot himself
I agree he did win Rd 4. But both Haney and Loma landed the same number of power shots in Rd 1 but Loma landed more due to the jabs and stole it as Haney paused during the last half minute. Both landed great power shots in Rd 2 but if you count Loma ended up landing more. Rd 3 Loma won that. Haney took the mid rds. (4-7) and Loma took rds (8-11). I had it 7-5 but I can't see giving Haney 7 rds.

I gave it to loma. But other than that haney was up big all the way up to round 8. Loma got going late but haney already banked so many rounds at that point and loma let off the gas in round 12 which he admitted himself. We need to stop going off the stat sheet and just watch the fight. The punch stats are flawed anyway its a guy pressing a button on what he thinks landed. Just watch the fight objectively and you see haney consistently working throughout the rounds early to mid and loma having small spurts but not enough to win the rounds besides round 3. Late he turned it up big time but again it was too late. At worst it was a 7-5 haney win. At best 8-4 haney. Round 2 Haney's ring generalship was on display for a minute winning the first half while Loma still landed some left hands and jabs during. Second half of round 2 Lomas ring generalship was on display landing that 4 punch combination that backed Haney into the ropes. Haney couldn't land on Loma in that second half of round 2 as Loma took control (you tell me to watch objectively, that's what I saw). Lomas shots were better and since he threw combinations he ended up landing more than Haney in total - 18 to Haneys 13. Your right punch stats are flawed but only because of corrupt boxing officials that purposely miscount or pad numbers in order to falsely storytell to support the more marketable fighter. They mislead the fans to make it look as if Haney landed more (or close to) but HE DID NOT. You can't say ignore punch stats because they are needed in order to help determine the winner of a round that is close. If fighter A and B both meet the 4 criteria making the round hard to determine the stats is the "high heel" so to speak. Don't get me wrong Rd 2 Haney landed some great counter body shots but Lomas chin shots were better and since he threw combinations he connected more frequently. Loma landed one chin shot that made Haney fly backwards. Rd 3 was obviously dominanted by Loma as you heard Bradley impressed by Loma in commentary. I had Loma winning rds 1-3 based on the 4 criterias, punches landed and eyeball test. Second half I had Loma winning rds 8-11 the same way. I watched the fight 100 times objectively and I'm sorry Loma 7-5 everytime. I heard a boxing enthusiast say he looked at it in a simple thought. Who would he had rather been out of the two and his answer was Lomachenko. So he scored the fight for Lomachenko. Much of the world saw Loma winning this fight, twitter reactions scolded the decision in anger because the wrong man won that night. Lomachenko had the better game plan, Bill Haneys game plan was wrong. Lomachenko 7-5 by SD.

Maybe throws a jab or a dbl left hand. Maybe it lands maybe it doesnt. 1 minute 30 passes by he throws a flurry with nothing on it lands maybe 2 punches in the flurry and then backs off and resets again and waits some more 30 seconds left in the round he goes in again and tries to throw a combination or flurry and same result. Meanwhile haney been working consistently the whole time loma been moving back and forth doing nothing. Who wins that round? Haney, Why? Because even if they land the same number of punches in that round. What do the judges see? Haney being active for a majority of the round and loma not throwing punches and getting hit or having to defend and not being offensive himself. The flurries will make loma seem like he was just as active as haney in this fight because loma was throwing in combination 4 or 5 punches. Haney was throwing single shots throughout the rounds. So when you look at the stats you say oh Loma threw 20punches that round compared to devins 16! Thats why you cant go off stats. It doesnt tell the whole story nor does it tell you who won each round.

I’m not a judge so to me that’s where the difference lies is round 7 on who you wanna give it to. Haney edged the 12th round. So to me i got Haney 7-6. Definitely not a unanimous decision here. Unanimous simply means all 3 judges had the winner ahead on their cards bro lol if the fight was tied and 3 judges gave Haney the swing round which would be that 7th round, then that’s a razor thin unanimous decision , but unanimously victorious nonetheless 🤷🏾♂️

This fight is nowhere near close as I remember it. Tim Bradley’s commentary is probably the only reason I thought this shit was close. This guy is the worst. Loma landed 3 lefts in the middle of round 7, and Bradley spend the next 45 seconds in awe over it and completely missed Haney hit Loma like 4 times after that🙄 I didn’t realize Bradley’s and the crowd’s bias influenced me when I saw this live
This was such an excellent fight between two extremely high level fighters. Both proved how good they were, I thought it could have been a draw or a 115-113 either way. Amazing to watch though 👏

Grading rd 3 which was pretty even for Haney because he landed more punches And rd 9 for Loma because he landed more punches and was unfazed (continued to walk him down) by the few good shots Haney gave him to the body Overall Loma’s experienced shined and showed greater ring generalship and pressure throughout the fight…keeping Haney on his backfoot the majority of fight and more visibly hurt throughout! After watching the 12th round, Haney won the fight 7 rounds to 5. Loma *almost* did enough to draw in the last 4 rounds. Had Loma won the 12th round, even if he just barely won it, the fight is a draw. He needed a knockdown in round 12 (or another dominant round like 10 and 11) to win decisively on my card. Loma’s 10th and 11th round were so dominant I wouldn’t have been upset if it was called a draw, but with Devin winning 7 of the first 9 rounds, plus the 12th, Loma did not do enough to win here. Haney would land something effective and loma would land a light jab and those two would be like "and a jab from lomach" or "haney needs to do x to get y". Cause he wasnt putting anything on his punches in any of those flurries he was doing. It was around round 9 when loma actually put steam on his punches and turned up. But at that point it was too late. Haney had a huge lead at that point. I honestly dont understand how this was a hard fight to score.
It was close only because loma had 4 rounds he clearly won. 1 more if you want to give him the swing round in round 3. But the other 7 or 8rounds were clearly haney rounds because he was consistently working and landing better shots. In some of those flurries also loma gets tagged in between his shots and the commentators dont say anything.
To me the only scorecards you could have for this fight is 8-4 haney or 7-5 haney. I rewatched the fight pretending i was rooting for loma and i still couldnt give him more than 5 rounds. Because if you look at the rounds one by one from Round 1 all the way to about round 8. Haney is up big because loma is using a lot of movement but not doing anything for about 2minutes in every round up to that point with the exception of round 3 where you can clearly see loma actually being more consistent throughout the round (thats why i gave loma that round even though its a swing round).

After watching it 3 times the last without audio have Haney winning rounds 1,2,4,6,8 and 12. (all close rounds) i have Loma winning rounds 3 and beating the dog shit out of Haney in rounds 7,9,10 and 11. It was an entertaining fight and Loma dominated late. The body punches saved Haney for the fight i have Haney 7-5. The rounds Haney won were close but the rounds Loma won were not close. All that said it still ads up to Haney 7-5. My fav fighters are Bud and Tank so i have no vested interest in none of these two fighters i am only going based off of what i see. Very high IQ chess match fight i thought it was quite a good fight.

I was in attendance, and have rewatched the fight about 5 times now. The first half of the fight was very competitive. Nearly every round was close. Rounds 5 and 6 were the clearest rounds I had for Devin. In my opinion, if you didnt have the fight even or close to even entering the 7th or 8th round, then you were being biased in one fighter's favor or the other. Loma took over in the 2nd half of the fight. I gave Loma rounds 7 to 11. Rounds 8 through 11 was the most one-sided stretch of the fight by far, with rounds 10 and 11 being dominant by Loma. Round 11 was a thing of beauty. Devin fought hard and did better in the 12th, and I gave him that round but this narrative people are trying to spin that he clearly took that round is atrocious. It was a close round. IMO 8-4, 7-5 to Loma were the most appropriate scores for the fight. It was great fight, high-level, fast-paced stuff. It was awesome to witness it in person, but the wrong guy was given the decision. An overwhelming majority of the crowd was furious and rightfully so, including a lot of Haney supporters. It was a competitive, but just because it was competitive does not mean that there wasn't a clear winner. Lomachenko was the clear winner and should be the undisputed lightweight champion. But boxing will be boxing. What goes on inside of the ring between two competitors coming to win is real, but the results are too often not. It sucks because I love this sport and have loved it for ages, but the blatant corruption and audacity from these corrupt officials that constantly insult the intelligence of fans is sickening. I truly hope things better, but I'm not counting on it. Every fight is going to get the catch after the fact or stream treatment until Inoue-Fulton and Bud-Spence get down for me.

Rewatching that 10th round I initially had Loma winning it. I don’t have a problem with still giving it to him. But dev had some good work in there that was ignored with about 45 seconds left in the round Devin hits Loma with 3 clean shots (jab to the head, right to the body, left hook to the head) that gets completely ignored by the announcers. Visually the early flurry that Loma got Devin off balance (even though most of the punches didn’t land) look better to the crowd so I can see giving the round to him. But it’s not crazy to see Devin getting that round. Loma backed up the rest of the round trying to recover from the body shot.

The corruption in boxing sickens me - Loma won that fight. I watched it twice now. The commentators are ridiculously biased in favor or Haney. So many shots from Haney that they're screaming in awe at, didn't even land remotely clean - while Loma is snapping out several punches landing clean and it's either silent, or they somehow find a way to praise Haney for some mid off balance counter. Watch the fight THEN watch it AGAIN on MUTE 👀Loma won that 8-4 or 7-5 at worst. Loma not coming out in the 12th looking to finish him is the only thing I give to Haney. I agree he did win Rd 4. But both Haney and Loma landed the same number of power shots in Rd 1 but Loma landed more due to the jabs and stole it as Haney paused during the last half minute. Both landed great power shots in Rd 2 but if you count Loma ended up landing more. Rd 3 Loma won that. Haney took the mid rds. (4-7) and Loma took rds (8-11). I had it 7-5 but I can't see giving Haney 7 rds.

I gave it to loma. But other than that haney was up big all the way up to round 8. We need to stop going off the stat sheet and just watch the fight. The punch stats are flawed anyway its a guy pressing a button on what he thinks landed. Second half of round 2 Lomas ring generalship was on display landing that 4 punch combination that backed Haney into the ropes. Haney couldn't land on Loma in that second half of round 2 as Loma took control (you tell me to watch objectively, that's what I saw). Lomas shots were better and since he threw combinations he ended up landing more than Haney in total - 18 to Haneys 13. Your right punch stats are flawed but only because of corrupt boxing officials that purposely miscount or pad numbers in order to falsely storytell to support the more marketable fighter. They mislead the fans to make it look as if Haney landed more (or close to) but HE DID NOT. You can't say ignore punch stats because they are needed in order to help determine the winner of a round that is close. If fighter A and B both meet the 4 criteria making the round hard to determine the stats is the "high heel" so to speak. Don't get me wrong Rd 2 Haney landed some great counter body shots but Lomas chin shots were better and since he threw combinations he connected more frequently. Loma landed one chin shot that made Haney fly backwards. Rd 3 was obviously dominanted by Loma as you heard Bradley impressed by Loma in commentary. I had Loma winning rds 1-3 based on the 4 criterias, punches landed and eyeball test. Second half I had Loma winning rds 8-11 the same way. I watched the fight 100 times objectively and I'm sorry Loma 7-5 everytime. I heard a boxing enthusiast say he looked at it in a simple thought. Who would he had rather been out of the two and his answer was Lomachenko. So he scored the fight for Lomachenko. Much of the world saw Loma winning this fight, twitter reactions scolded the decision in anger because the wrong man won that night. You watch the round unfold and determine who won it as it happens. Devin is consistent throughout the round. Being active. Loma is super passive in this round. Again punch stats are nice and all but if we just went off punch stats we would never have to watch a fight. Also punch stats say anything other than a jab is a power punch which we both know is a joke. And if you consider the type of punches loma was throwing.. Again going back to the fact they are counting lomas pitty pat flurries as power punches on the stat sheet.. Haney clearly throughout the fight was landing the more effective punches. Obviously round 10 and 11 were the most dominant rounds of the fight by either fighter. Loma clearly put himself into 5th gear and was actually putting something on his punches. You can clearly see the difference. Loma did a good job in rounds moving aggressively but if you really look at it he doesnt even throw anything for 2minutes in every round all the way up to round 10. Meanwhile haney been working consistently the whole time loma been moving back and forth doing nothing. Who wins that round?
Haney, Why? Because even if they land the same number of punches in that round. What do the judges see? Haney being active for a majority of the round and loma not throwing punches and getting hit or having to defend and not being offensive himself. The flurries will make loma seem like he was just as active as haney in this fight because loma was throwing in combination 4 or 5 punches. Haney was throwing single shots throughout the rounds. So when you look at the stats you say oh Loma threw 20punches that round compared to devins 16! Thats why you cant go off stats. It doesnt tell the whole story nor does it tell you who won each round.

I watched this fight twice…I believe it was a Draw!
Grading rd 3 which was pretty even for Haney because he landed more punches
And rd 9 for Loma because he landed more punches and was unfazed (continued to walk him down) by the few good shots Haney gave him to the body
Overall Loma’s experienced shined and showed greater ring generalship and pressure throughout the fight…keeping Haney on his backfoot the majority of fight and more visibly hurt throughout! Other than that, it was a great fight that is an instant classic!
