I got the Dice just to use as a portable projector but I was so impressed with the quality that I bought a 110” screen and I’m going to use it to make a theatre room. Right now, the Dice is only $329 on their website. Insane price for that good of a projector.
Right...Fair to say, this was just an ad for the Formovie Dice. Halo+ has higher brightness and much higher contrast, almost double. Plus it is smaller and lighter. A no brainer.
nice video comparison, i bought formovie Dice 2 weeks a go in Indonesia & it did great experience for any situation. Maybe you can review for playing some game on both projectors
Hii, great video and thanks for doing this. In video you mentioned that you turned off true motion (which you mean MEMC mode I presume), how did you turn it off? Is it any better?
On the XGIMI is was when watching content, you can access the settings menu and go to picture modes. They have Movie, Sports, etc and a custom mode where you can turn down the motion slider to zero
I have the Halo+, I could return it and get the dice for €300 and save a lot of money. Is that advisable? You say the sound is better with the Dice and how is the picture quality? What is also important is which version of Android TV is on it? still the old 9 or is there something new? Thanks
Halo+ is a supped-up Mogo 2 Pro. They took the battery out of the Mogo2 Pro (but it takes USB C portable charger) Halo + is nearly twice as bright (but it is also more expensive) Mogo is smaller, but still a very solid piece of tech.
Wow one month old and the prices are totally different lol. I ordered the Halo+ from a prime sale for $650 after eyeing it for a while after my BenQ GV30 died. The Dice is a whole $500 now lol. I’m tempted to switch but the 900 lumens on the Halo sounds great. The BenQ was limited to 720p 300 lumens, not bad but I did desire much more.
@@beardfmyea the Halo is back up to $850 and the Dice is still $500 so I’d say that’s a solid deal haha. My Halo did arrive today and it’s nice but I’m not gonna lie the BenQ GV30 was actually pretty solid considering 1/3 the brightness and 720p. It’s just got a really nice contrast and the speakers are definitely better (think the gv30 has two tweeters and a subwoofer). Kinda wish I actually went for the BenQ GS50 which was $50 more than the Halo but I really don’t know how that compares and I’d probably end up in another infinite rabbit hole like other hobbies haha. Thinking I should just settle with the Halo since I’m satisfied… maybe…

Sheesh! That's a great deal, glad you like it!
Thank you man this was a great help. I’ve been looking for a projector for outside movies n you convinced me on the dice
Still loving it after several months! Thanks for watching 🙏
Curious about the battery life in real-world conditions. Any tips for extending it?
Is the charger 12v or 5v or 24v? Trying to find a new charger in europe.
so how did you connect the projectors to the Sonos speakers again?
That’s possible when I use an Apple TV with the projector. From the Apple TV you can AirPlay to all Sonos speakers

Nice! I'll check it out!
I had Dice, I gave it away because it didn't have zoom, now I want to get Halo Plus or Wemax Voque Pro
The Halo Plus looks sweet
Mogo 2 pro or Freestyle 2 gen what do you think?
I haven't tried either of those, unfortunately

Thanks for this, Dice it is! Any idea the voltage/amperage the dice uses? Looking to run it off a DC battery bank.
This is from their website: The battery capacity is 60.86 Wh (with loss deducted), the full capacity is equivalent to 16000 mAH/4.2V of the power bank
Man I am looking now for a good projector for outside. We are getting a pool and spa installed. Can’t decide what to go with.
That Dice was pretty sweet! Just sayin’

Both ran the same version of Android, but I would recommend getting the Dice for sure 👍🏼
@@beardfm you mean there is already android 10 for the Dice? what make it better then 9? Which battery lasts longer without using Eco Mode? thanks
Please let me know which version of Android is running now on the dice? Thanks
are formovie dice and wemax dice the same ?
Yes they’re the same projector!
How does this guy compare to the mogo2 pro?
Haven’t tried that one 🤔

Hi! I have halo+ and have latency is it because of the speakers or do you also have latency while using the sonos speakers?
There’s a hair latency, but are you using an Apple TV connected to the projector?
@@beardfmyes I am using apple tv.
An advert for formovie then.

Sheeesh those prices are way different. Overall, if buying one, the Dice is my pick

How long by hours +/- you use GV30? Thank you
