Jus took the delivery recently kamet white, I sense vibrations after attaining 60 in 4th gear itself and it feels like the bike can’t be pushed beyond that due to vibs, still im positive that after some feedback, it will improve, also the engine gets too hot after jus 3km and i smell something burnt, idk if all these are normal or maybe gone after first service. But they do make me feel a bit worried. Some feedback is appreciated, pls do reply
Hello.. 1. The vibrations will keep getting better, in my case around 600kms and first service vibrations were totally gone. It felt like a different machine altogether. 2. But the vibrations were not that prominent at 60km/h, in my case around 90-110 vibrations were very annoying. But as mentioned in the above comment they got better with time. 3. Engine gets hot in the beginning. A little burning smell should not be a concern. But if it is very prominent and doesn't go after running for some time. Maybe let's say 100km then you should get it checked. 4. I would advise not to go beyond 4000rpm for the initial 500kms. And beyond 6000rpm for 500-2000kms as mentioned in the user manual. Also do not hard accelerate. If you take care of your bike in the initial breaking period, it will serve you better and you will not face any problems later. Happy Riding, cheers!!
Yes, that's an issue with all Himalayan 450s, and it is not related to this handle bar issue. It is something else, most probally due to the weight distrirbution, am also looking for probale cause and fix.
No engine related issues or sound noticed yet, rather the engine feels much more refined and smooth with every kms added to the odo, all the annoying vibrations are gone which were prominent below 500km after the first oil change and long ride after that. Also I would like to highlight, I have a very conservative driving style, never went above 4000 rmp till 500kms and still don't find any reason to accelerate hard. Falling more in love with the bike with every ride. However there is one major issue with the bike which is the issue with the bike's handle or balance, it pulls to right as soon as you lift off your hands from the handle bar.
@@OnceARider thanks buddy for such lonh reply..i appreciate it..n tell service guy to check it or reciofy it and if still not solve ask them to change handle bar issue..it is manufacturing issue with all new 450. .n sir how much km u run till today..? And should i go with this bike?
I have done 1067 kms on this bike till date. Go for it without any second thought if you like the bike and suits your riding style. I chose this because it is a high revving engine, which I like. To be honest I might be little biased towards this bike because I always wanted to own a RE bike and by coincidence RE launched this bike at the time I was looking for the bike, I considered the meteor, hunter and honda Hness, but as soon as I took this bike for the test ride I knew this is bike for me. But I was a little hesitant because this is a heavy bike with a huge wheel base and my main purpose was the office commute and traffic is horrible in Pune, I went for it anyway and believe me it is a very agile bike, doesn't feel heavy and maneuverability is very good, the power gives you confidence to overtake and on highways no other bike in this price range beat this bike. So I would suggest go for a test ride feel the bike and decide for yourself. Do not listen to the negative comments and reviews on social media, you know people want to get famous and you will get views only when you will say bad these days.

@@OnceARider thank you, ill follow these instructions, I'm a bit relieved after this comment. 🙂
Running inn is the key. Keep under 4000 rpm till 500 km and 6000 till 2500 km. Any abnormal issue show the bike to the service centre.
I want to ask about maps , is there any updates to screen lock and still see map fully
No it's still the same, I have received only one update so far which I guess fixed some connectivity related issues.
my Himalayan 450 gets steered to right when i leave both hands, is it due to this issue ?
Even for me, and yes it’s an issue, normally it should go straight
@@var123jkl963 any update on this ?
@@ronak4195 service people are not ready to accept this as issue. They say it’s normal sir. Kindly adjust your body position accordingly.
@@var123jkl963 thats sad its actually a very big issue, many new Himalayan are facing this issue.
