Huelsbeck was fantastic on amiga, one of the composers from the c64 days who actually improved on amiga(can't say that for most of the c64 legends except david whittaker maybe).
Simply amazing! Music was often so epic and beautiful back then. Seems like that is one area of games that has gone to shit since the 8-bit and 16-bit days. Most music in modern games is so forgettable and boring, while something like the music of Turrican, X-out, Superfrog etc will forever be drilled into my brain. Thank you for uploading this masterpiece Kuokka77.
there is still great music now... i think back then we were mostly surprised with what hardware could do. we were experiencing the new sounds and musics in a less complicated time😀 and consequently happier
I know this was posted over 7 years ago, but this is different to how I remember the title. I thought there was a voice on it saying "Get Ready For X-Out?" But I could be wrong. Loving the headphone version, though.
Isn't this song supposed to be about 10 beats per minute faster? That's how I remember it.. still have cassette recording and later recorded audio cd of this.. I will eventually transfer them to mp3 for my car stereo (I've already transferred a few). I miss the good classics-- can't stand the fortnite bitcoin monster the gaming industry's become. It's like baseball when it was just a game before pollution and corruption. Commodore music was pure artistry even when the tech was lacking fast evolution. It was development of the sid & amiga's DSP chips to the Pc's sound blaster that gave the world real computer music. All apple did was ride the wave and then claim credit as if it were the entire industry. The only thing Apple can rightly claim credit for is giving computer access to those who weren't geeks and computer fanatic niche. Hopefully there will be a 4k or 8k virtual reality gaming industry where real computer music can make a comeback.
and suddenly it's 1990, I'm 15 again in my old bedroom and all I had to worry about was what mum was cooking for dinner :)
Amiga best computer ever made.
For anyone wondering this song was used for a key gen from Alcatraz called Paradox for Photoshop CS2 (Loading theme for X_Out)
