I’m so glad I found your channel. I’m living vicariously through you. I want to go out west so bad and see all the things. I love my wrangler. I live in Arkansas and we have so many places to go for off-roading, camping, hiking, and swimming. We have a little off road pop-up camper that the jeep can pull. But I so want to start exploring other places and Arizona is on my list. For now I’ll just watch your videos. 😂😂😁
Scary story....2009 went to the Grand Canyon with our toy poodle. Walking along a path and I saw a shadow coming down from behind and yanked sweetie back towards me just as a hawk swooped in for the catch!! Kept a very short leash from that point on!
My goodness, that is hot cocoa weather for sure. I have those single serving packets that just need hot water -- some have freeze dried marshmallows. Snow on the windshield is like waking up in an igloo, isn't it? Those birds probably thought Li'l One was a full-grown jackrabbit -- and being so white, she really sticks out. I see your girl eyeing those mozzarella sticks -- it'll be a fart time in the old town tonight! I had a chihuahua (actually, a chiweenie) for many years, and supplemented her diet with a bag of mixed vegetables (kept in the freezer, then microwaved at feeding time). I would set out her bowl and she scarfed down the peas, carrots and corn, but I would come back and find a bowl with some lonely, unloved string beans every time. No fiber, daddy! I like raw, unsalted sunflower seeds (no shells) on my salads -- the little, not-chihuahua-eating birds like 'em too.
Insane!! Wow girl lately you've gone through some crazy first's of things that have not happened to you before? A few weeks back with the fellas out bt lake Mead when you were gonna camp at, bad crazy weather from mother nature....winds, rain, snow and now crazy birds wanting your Lil One!! 😲 Hopefully all the bad things are behind you now, and you continue to do your adventures with no further problems!! Keep the faith 👍🙏 and keep on staying positive and safe in your travels! On to the next!! 👍😊
Little Colorado River flowed near by. The big black birds in the area are Ravens and Vultures. Vultures are carrion eaters and Ravens, mostly are scavengers but will take mice. Both birds feet can't grasp like birds of prey. Not sure Harris Hawks range goes that far. I recommend the Petersons Field Guide for Birds...great book for identifying birds and giving information. I have seen both birds in high winds soaring low and high, dancing and swooping, even coming close to humans...almost like they are daring each other to see who gets closer. Maybe when Little One peed on the bush, growing on the ruins of the ancient ones, maybe their spirits sent the birds to chase you away. Sorry for your experience...love you, Little One and the Vlog.
they make a thing dogs can wear called a "raptor shield" designed so huge birds cant grip the dog to carry it away...yrs ago one of my adult outdoor cats appeared with two wounds on his back that were shaped like a large bird's claws, I think he was almost carried off but got away.
Hi, I was there on the 6th. Spot 50 East loop. I agree the wind rocked me to sleep rocking my van back forth along with waking to the icy snow covering. Ranger Evans told me “ this is just a little breeze”. Well safe travels! Hopefully we pass again and meet before I head back to Philly!
Im glad little one was saved 😮 buzzards. definitely would of taking her.i have a miniature chawwawa. My cat is bigger than her.she is special to me .I love my little one she is 5.😊great content.love it always ❤️ .

I've been dived on by vultures when I got too close to their nests but never been chased by them. The only birds of prey that fit the description and behavior around there are Golden Eagles.
I'm from Wyoming and I thought the weather in Wyoming is unpredictable, and it is. Now that I live In northern Arizona I know now that Arizona takes the cake as far as unpredictability, at least it's not as cold, and less snow.
Hi Sarah “Spider” here, we met in Tecopa! Your Audio is perfect!! The desert looks like the surface of the moon when it snows! Come on people 89 thumbs up out of 298 views !!! Hit those thumbs up!!!
@@Lois-o1f Oh I see. Losing money is definitely a deal breaker. I wonder with that newly purchased property if there is a future potential for site hookups? Rain at 39 degrees but at a higher elevation it could be about 28 degrees ,so yeah SNOW! More coffee please! Yikes. That is the Little Colorado River there and goes northwest to meet up with the Colorado River at Marble Canyon. Those dang birds lost a possible lunch thanks to momma's fast acting. Burro's, wild horses, and cows. ❤ Lil One was looking at what you are about to eat," so where's mine momma?" LOL She has learned to be patient and will get her's later.
Hey Sarha if your in the Show low are,my wife and I would love to take you out for dinner and drinks at Sandi's Hideaway in White mountain lakes. Our treat.
Sarah if you are ever on 66 south of Oatman Arizona the desert is loaded with burros, they will come right up to your jeep and politely beg for food, keep some carrots handy then follow the road into Oatman, the burros are walking the towns streets, lots of fun stuff there , look it up .
Poor little doggie and YOU! I'll tell you, my mom had a Great Dane/Doberman in the fenced back yard one day. A flock of small black birds began attacking this huge dog and mom had to go out and rescue him! She was so scared and they were flying around his head and pecking at him madly! Sooo scary. Blessings to you both.
LOL re the weather!!! Live in Northern New Mexico and it has just been the coldest and weirdest Spring. Hot one day and freezing cold with lots of snow the next day.
Sarah, We had those winds the last couple of days down here at the Imperial Dam LTVA, happily it's blown to other places and It's beautiful here right now. You and Lil one be safe.

Wow, I just learned something new. Black vultures can attack small animals. I never knew! We have both black & turkey vultures here. The turkey vultures only feed off of dead animals. If a black vulture is hungry enough, they will go in for small animals. One day, the field behind me was covered in them. Made me worry for my 2 8# dogs, then crows came in & ran the vultures off. My little guys are never outside long & I was out with them, but had concerns. I'm glad Little One is safe! ❤🌻

Snow! What happened to Spring? This time of year is so tough to predict.
I was under the impression vultures mainly salvage food , but who knows? When a animal get really hungry anything goes.
Could have been red tail hawks which would snatch her up.
Good job on doing what you did , you most likely just scared her.
