The most important thing to remember is that our Creator has made it all very simple: All you have to do is to soften your heart, come before the Savior and ask forgiveness for your sins, accept His forgiveness and the free gift of salvation. When you enter into a relationship with Him, the Bible becomes a living document of God’s love for His creation. This is very accurate looking directly at the Hebrew (in the Hebrew characters) , as transliterated (and translated):- "Heenay (behold), Damesek (Damascus) musar (destroyed) meyeer (from a city)" The "Musar" translates best as "chastisement". The commonly accepted "taken away from" is equally correct, and indicates "destroyed", or "made a heap of rubble".

You know I truly wish I could find a church with this kinda of a pastor around my house. I visited so many and the pastor never even opens the Bible and preaches from it. I’m an old man who’s not in the greatest health, but one who would truly love finding a church home where God’s word is actually taught and preached directly from the word of God. I miss the fellowship of being around like minded believers so much.
@@SHARKTIC5 the Church of God teaches a variation of the Arminian "gospel" of salvation by some kind of spiritual work (like faith in the atoning work of Jesus), rather than salvation by Grace alone (Eph 2:8-9), having been chosen, by grace alone, from before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4), with their names eternally written into "The Lamb's Book of Life" from the foundation of the world (Rev 13:8, 17:8), and at some point, predestined into adoption as sons (Eph 1:5) as well as, predestined to be conformed to the image of the Son, being, at some point, foreknown, called, justified..... and, eventually, glorified (Rom 8:29-30), with imperishable bodies at "The Last Trumpet" (1Cor 15:51-52).
I understand your desire, and wish that I could be helpful. However, 90% of the churches in America, including the "Church of God" (recommended after your comment) teach a "Salvation-gospel" other than Salvation by Grace alone (Eph 2:8-9). I attend a "Bible-believing" Bible-church, but have found only one family who really searches the Bible for its truth. I consider it a mission field.

Don’t know if you know this but there is a place at the northeastern part of the Dead Sea (near cumron) that was called Bethabara (which translates to Damascus) where John the Baptist was baptizing in the wilderness- which is now a “ruinous heap”🤔 It’s also the place that Paul was traveling to (his letters from the Pharisees for passage wouldn’t have been applicable to other countries, only within judea borders)

Vision March 6, 2016 (During worship @ Angleton Central Assembly) GDL Damascus I see a mushroom cloud from a nuclear detonation many miles in the distance. The cloud itself is orange and brown (swirling and growing). The sky beyond it is varying shades of yellow. The foreground between me and the cloud is darkness with some illumination from the detonation. The landscape is flat … no trees, no buildings. "Pre-Tribulation" Rapture believers ignore more than 18 Biblical contradictions of their rapture-timing, including, "The living and remaining will never precede the fallen asleep" (1Th 4:15). Most Baptists hate the word "Chosen" and "Predestined", and wish that certain verses (Eph 1:4-5, 2:8-9, Rev 13:8, 17:8, Rom 3:10, 8:29-30, 9:14-22) were not in their Bibles. They prefer to think that they have control over their salvation, and refuse to believe that God is in absolute sovereign control of all things, especially with whom He will share eternity. Moreover, they might have objected to your shouting things, which they did not want to hear. FYI: Many Bible verses (e.g., Rom 10:9, 13, 1Jn 2:2, Jn 3:16) have been mistranslated in a manner, to support their man-controlled salvation theology.

The only thing I know about Damascus is first century Christians had a body of believers there and Paul was Baptized and Filled with the Holy Ghost there and that their salvation beliefs were far different that what modern churches claim today.
First time here. I'm currently reading Isaiah so this caught my attention. But I do so wish ministers would stop using the word, predicted.. God doesn't predict anything, He knows the end from the beginning and just tells us what will be. It's called prophecy.

I wonder when Jer. 19 will come to pass. Many people confuse Israel, the lost tribes who are scattered abroad with Jerusalem who returned to their land. The prophecy in Jer. 19 is for Jerusalem and its surrounding cities just as Jeremiah says. Israel and Judah/Jerusalem have been split in two since after the death of Solomon. Sadly many theologians do not make a distinction between the specific prophesies that are for Israel and the ones for Jerusalem. Jeremiah 19 was not fully fulfilled in 70 AD because the city was rebuilt and Jeremiah clearly says Jerusalem and it’s surrounding cities will NEVER be rebuilt again.
We may know when the final battle of Har Meggido finally begins. In the Book of Psalms it says, "I the Lord will kindle a fire in the walls of the Pslace." Complete destruction of Damascus prophesied, but when? Isaiah 17:1 - “1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” RSB Notes to myself: There is no eternal destruction promised in this prophecy. This prophecy could potentially have been fulfilled in the past. OR… this prophecy could have a fulfillment here at the beginning of the millennium, during the millennium, or at the end of the millennium when all nations come under Yahweh’s judgements. This prophecy could even have multiple fulfillments with Damascus becoming a ruinous heap more than once. Yet, a critical point to consider is that Damascus is included in the land promised to Abraham and his seed. If Yahweh allows Damascus to be destroyed by a nuclear event prior to the millennium, then he would be unable to fulfill his covenantal promise to Abraham. Thus, it seems extremely unlikely to me that Yahweh would prophesy any nuclear event to occur anywhere in the promised land at this point in time. This promised land is also where the resurrected dead are promised to be brought to live forever in the millennial prophecies of Ezekiel 37:12,37:14, and 37:25-28. Yahweh has a clear, prophesied purpose for the promised land; and his prophecies and covenants shall never be thwarted, especially by his own actions. Thus, the thought of him prophesying the nuclear destruction of Damascus in our age is completely nonsensical in nature. Could Damascus become a ruinous heap by more conventional means? That is definitely a possibility... Another reason that it is completely unlikely to me that this prophecy has a beginning of the millennium fulfillment or a millennium fulfillment is because Damascus exists as a city when the land around the third temple is divided in Ezekiel 47:13-18. Since the third temple is not yet built and it is seemingly prophesied to be rebuilt by the Branch (aka our Messiah) according to Zechariah chapter 6, I would speculate that if this prophecy was to have a future fulfillment, then it is more likely that Damascus’ destruction occurs at the end of millennium period, even though many prophetic minds of our day insist Damascus must be destroyed soon. Another important thing to note about this prophecy is that neither Damascus or the land of Assyria are mentioned in either of the two Gog/Magog prophecies. This is a strong indicator that Damascus will not be destroyed with other nations at the start of the millennium or the end of the millennium. The Assyrians are even prophesied to be part of Yahweh’s people in another millennium prophecy (Isaiah 19:24). Thus, these are more reasons I lean quite strongly to the thought that the Damascus prophecy was fulfilled in the past. Another indication that this prophecy cannot have a modern day fulfillment is that the Damascus prophecy also states in Isaiah 17:2 the “the cities of Aroer are forsaken”. Only one of the cities remain today, the city of Arair in Jordan; the others of these cities have already been forsaken and their precise locations have been lost to history. A complete fulfillment of the Damascus prophecy in Isaiah chapter 17 in our modern-day is thus impossible. Another similar prophecy about Damascus that was definitely fulfilled previously: Jeremiah 49:27 - “23 Concerning Damascus. It seems quite likely that the elderly Isaiah was prophesying about the same events as his somewhat younger contemporary Jeremiah. Isaiah chapter 10:9 seems to indicate that the prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27 have already occurred at the hand of the Assyrian king. In Isaiah 10:9-11, Yahweh asks rhetorical questions about the destruction of these same three cities that are mentioned in the Jeremiah prophecy above - Damascus, Hamath, and Arpad. His questions in these verses of Isaiah clearly indicate that these same three cities have already been destroyed along with Samaria, as he tells Jerusalem that they are next. Thus, there seems to be good reason to believe the Damascus prophecies of both Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 have already been fulfilled. Historians debate the level of destruction, yet the Bible through Yahweh’s own rhetorical questions clearly indicates that an occurrence of destruction occurred in Isaiah’s days. Another point to consider in the Isaiah chapter 17 prophecy is that there is nothing that definitively connects this prophecy to our age or to the end of the millennial age. In fact, the reference to a remnant of Israel being in Assyria in Isaiah 17:3 definitively ties this prophecy to Isaiah’s day. In the Isaiah 10 and 11 prophecy, Yahweh promised to save the remnant of Israel from Assyria in Isaiah 11:3. This statement in Isaiah 11:3 confirms that there is a connection of this prophecy to Isaiah chapter 17, while the statement about Damascus, Hamath and Arpad in Isaiah 10:9 clearly connects Isaiah chapters 10 and 11 to the prophecy of Jeremiah 49:27, which mentions the identical three cities. Thus, we can definitively connect all three prophecies together. Since Yahweh’s own rhetorical question in Isaiah 10:9 indicates that the prophecy of Damascus has been fulfilled, we should know that the connected prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 were eventually fulfilled sometime during the lifetimes of Isaiah and Jeremiah. Another issue: If this prophecy is actually connected to Assyria aka Syria today, then there should be a remnant of Israel who are scattered in Assyria that need to be gathered back to Israel, according to Isaiah 17:3. Do we see such a situation in our modern day? I don’t see that as of today; so considering the totality of scripture, I tend to think there is little to connect Isaiah 17 to our immediate time frame. Thus, I lean strongly to the understanding that this prophecy was already fulfilled in the days of Isaiah and Jeremiah, especially knowing that any nuclear destruction of Damascus in our age would actually cause Yahweh to break the land covenant he made with Abraham and his seed. Any nuclear destruction of Damascus would make it impossible to for Yahweh to fulfill his promise to Abraham for his seed to inherit this land, unless one foolishly wants to believe and insist that Yahweh intends to gift a nuclear wasteland to Abraham and his seed at the start of the millennial kingdom that is soon to come.

God is indeed in full control of all things, but the Bible reports: Jesus returns on "The Day of the Lord" (2Th 2:1-2), elsewhere called "The Last Day(Jn 6:39-40,44,54), 7 years after "a covenant with many" (Dan 9:27), and 1335 days (Dan 12:11-13) after the daily sacrifices have been terminated (Dan 9:27)in a temple not yet built. Mt 24:36 and Mk 13:32 have been egregiously mistranslated. The Greek text reads, ""not-one has been beholding the day...hour....". This is because "The Day of the LORD" is a unique day, without light, except at even-time (Zec 14:6-7), when every eye will Him coming....(Rev 1:7, Mt 24:30). It is also the day when the wrath of God (Rev 16) is poured out upon the earth and kills all the wicked and ungodly (Is 13:6-15, Jer 46:10, Jpel 1:15-3:15), shortly before the present heavens and earth are burned-up with intense heat (2Pet 3:10-12), making "The Day of the LORD", "a day like none other (Jer 30:7).

I think you are being deceived by another letter as if it is from Paul. The KJV doesn't say in 2 Thessalonians 2 that "as if the Day of the Lord has already come," it says, " ...is at hand." At hand means it is near. And what happens before He comes? Israel's 70th week, Tribulation, Jacob's trouble, which isn't for the Body of Christ Church: it's for Israel, and it is according to their prophecy. We are not appointed unto wrath, but Israel absolutely is appointed unto wrath and judgment and testing. We are still in the Dispensation of Grace that began with Paul, and you can not have judgment during a Dispensation of Grace. It seems you are lumping together the very things you should be rightly dividing between: what was meant for Israel and what is meant for the Body of Christ Church.
This reference is NOT about the rapture but about the tribulation and the second coming of Christ as King and Judge. Don't be deceived-- study this in context and try not to ignore the many texts that record Jesus' love and relationship to His church. The church, by the way, is the bride of Christ. He gave Himself for her to present her to Himself spotless without blemish. He accomplished that by imputing His righteousness to His church by grace. To think the church must experience the trial of the tribulation, is to say that Jesus' cleaning of His bride with His blood was not sufficient, and needs further chastening in the trib to make her acceptable. That idea is blasphemous . Think about it. You have a legalistic view of salvation, and a very shallow understanding of God's grace. Go to the Word prayerfully to learn, not to try and validate what you already believe in the spirit of error. As disciples, we are all students and live in the sanctification our relationship to God in Christ has brought us. Nobody graduates till Father calls us home or He calls His church out at the rapture. Why is Paul writing this to the church at Thessalonica? They thought they were in the tribulation because of the persecution they were experiencing. Paul is reassuring them that it was not possible because the things he had already taught them about the rapture and second coming had not occurred.

You need to do more study. We, his church, do not need to prepare ourselves for the outpouring of Gods wrath- which is the 7 year Tribulation. Aka- Jacob’s trouble, aka Israel’s trouble . Today’s nations are U.S.A.=sun, Russia=moon, and China(red dragon)=stars. China will start WWIII bringing final judgement of the remaining 10 tribes (“stars”). Russia will be destroyed (“the moon as blood”). U.S.A. (“sun darkened”) will be the only nation with relatively any power left. All glory to God. Amen

A thought provoking question indeed. My guess is that when God created Adam and Eve, He already knew exactly how it would turn out. Perhaps despite knowing that people would fall short, He chose to do things in this way so that we would each have free will. If He had thrown satan and the rebellious angels straight away, we would not have experienced any temptation/sin. If we never had to repent from our sin nature because we were born into a perfect state lacking sin and not faced with temptation, then we would not really have free will to choose Him, because by default He would be the only choice. Perhaps in His infinite wisdom He knew that many would rebel eventually so He allowed satan to tempt us while we live in our human state, thereby giving us an opportunity for our souls to live in glory with Him for eternity. This is just my opinion, I am not sure if it is Biblically sound, but just my thoughts. God bless 🙏
There is a theory that Satan's fall from angel to demon happened in full when he tempted Eve and succeeded with Adam. Satan's physical fall to earth is a future event.. so If Adam passed the test Satan could have been locked up, but because he failed he handed authority of this realm to Satan ...

If you look at religions like Catholicism, Mormonism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism , etc, you notice that they all seek to place layers between us and our Living, loving Creator. The most important thing to remember is that our Creator has made it all very simple: All you have to do is to soften your heart, come before the Savior and ask forgiveness for your sins, accept His forgiveness and the free gift of salvation. When you enter into a relationship with Him, the Bible becomes a living document of God’s love for His creation.
All of these other religions have complicated dogma designed to separate you from the peace that flows in your soul when He is living there.

This is very accurate looking directly at the Hebrew (in the Hebrew characters) , as transliterated (and translated):- "Heenay (behold), Damesek (Damascus) musar (destroyed) meyeer (from a city)" The "Musar" translates best as "chastisement". The commonly accepted "taken away from" is equally correct, and indicates "destroyed", or "made a heap of rubble".

You know I truly wish I could find a church with this kinda of a pastor around my house. I visited so many and the pastor never even opens the Bible and preaches from it. I’m an old man who’s not in the greatest health, but one who would truly love finding a church home where God’s word is actually taught and preached directly from the word of God. I miss the fellowship of being around like minded believers so much.

I understand your desire, and wish that I could be helpful. However, 90% of the churches in America, including the "Church of God" (recommended after your comment) teach a "Salvation-gospel" other than Salvation by Grace alone (Eph 2:8-9). I attend a "Bible-believing" Bible-church, but have found only one family who really searches the Bible for its truth. I consider it a mission field.

Don’t know if you know this but there is a place at the northeastern part of the Dead Sea (near cumron) that was called Bethabara (which translates to Damascus) where John the Baptist was baptizing in the wilderness- which is now a “ruinous heap”🤔 It’s also the place that Paul was traveling to (his letters from the Pharisees for passage wouldn’t have been applicable to other countries, only within judea borders)

"Pre-Tribulation" Rapture believers ignore more than 18 Biblical contradictions of their rapture-timing, including, "The living and remaining will never precede the fallen asleep" (1Th 4:15). Most Baptists hate the word "Chosen" and "Predestined", and wish that certain verses (Eph 1:4-5, 2:8-9, Rev 13:8, 17:8, Rom 3:10, 8:29-30, 9:14-22) were not in their Bibles. They prefer to think that they have control over their salvation, and refuse to believe that God is in absolute sovereign control of all things, especially with whom He will share eternity. Moreover, they might have objected to your shouting things, which they did not want to hear.

First time here. I'm currently reading Isaiah so this caught my attention. But I do so wish ministers would stop using the word, predicted.. God doesn't predict anything, He knows the end from the beginning and just tells us what will be. It's called prophecy.

I wonder when Jer. 19 will come to pass. Many people confuse Israel, the lost tribes who are scattered abroad with Jerusalem who returned to their land. The prophecy in Jer. 19 is for Jerusalem and its surrounding cities just as Jeremiah says. Israel and Judah/Jerusalem have been split in two since after the death of Solomon. Sadly many theologians do not make a distinction between the specific prophesies that are for Israel and the ones for Jerusalem. Jeremiah 19 was not fully fulfilled in 70 AD because the city was rebuilt and Jeremiah clearly says Jerusalem and it’s surrounding cities will NEVER be rebuilt again.

Complete destruction of Damascus prophesied, but when? Isaiah 17:1 - “1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” RSB
Notes to myself: There is no eternal destruction promised in this prophecy. This prophecy could potentially have been fulfilled in the past. OR… this prophecy could have a fulfillment here at the beginning of the millennium, during the millennium, or at the end of the millennium when all nations come under Yahweh’s judgements. This prophecy could even have multiple fulfillments with Damascus becoming a ruinous heap more than once.
Yet, a critical point to consider is that Damascus is included in the land promised to Abraham and his seed. If Yahweh allows Damascus to be destroyed by a nuclear event prior to the millennium, then he would be unable to fulfill his covenantal promise to Abraham. Thus, it seems extremely unlikely to me that Yahweh would prophesy any nuclear event to occur anywhere in the promised land at this point in time. This promised land is also where the resurrected dead are promised to be brought to live forever in the millennial prophecies of Ezekiel 37:12,37:14, and 37:25-28. Yahweh has a clear, prophesied purpose for the promised land; and his prophecies and covenants shall never be thwarted, especially by his own actions. Thus, the thought of him prophesying the nuclear destruction of Damascus in our age is completely nonsensical in nature. Could Damascus become a ruinous heap by more conventional means? That is definitely a possibility...
Another reason that it is completely unlikely to me that this prophecy has a beginning of the millennium fulfillment or a millennium fulfillment is because Damascus exists as a city when the land around the third temple is divided in Ezekiel 47:13-18. Since the third temple is not yet built and it is seemingly prophesied to be rebuilt by the Branch (aka our Messiah) according to Zechariah chapter 6, I would speculate that if this prophecy was to have a future fulfillment, then it is more likely that Damascus’ destruction occurs at the end of millennium period, even though many prophetic minds of our day insist Damascus must be destroyed soon.
Another important thing to note about this prophecy is that neither Damascus or the land of Assyria are mentioned in either of the two Gog/Magog prophecies. This is a strong indicator that Damascus will not be destroyed with other nations at the start of the millennium or the end of the millennium. The Assyrians are even prophesied to be part of Yahweh’s people in another millennium prophecy (Isaiah 19:24). Thus, these are more reasons I lean quite strongly to the thought that the Damascus prophecy was fulfilled in the past.
Another indication that this prophecy cannot have a modern day fulfillment is that the Damascus prophecy also states in Isaiah 17:2 the “the cities of Aroer are forsaken”. Only one of the cities remain today, the city of Arair in Jordan; the others of these cities have already been forsaken and their precise locations have been lost to history. A complete fulfillment of the Damascus prophecy in Isaiah chapter 17 in our modern-day is thus impossible.
Another similar prophecy about Damascus that was definitely fulfilled previously:
Jeremiah 49:27 - “23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet. 24 Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. 25 How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy! 26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith Yahweh of hosts. 27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.” RSB
Notes to myself: Isaiah and Jeremiah are two prophets and contemporaries that were only a couple few decades apart in age. It seems quite likely that the elderly Isaiah was prophesying about the same events as his somewhat younger contemporary Jeremiah. Isaiah chapter 10:9 seems to indicate that the prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27 have already occurred at the hand of the Assyrian king. In Isaiah 10:9-11, Yahweh asks rhetorical questions about the destruction of these same three cities that are mentioned in the Jeremiah prophecy above - Damascus, Hamath, and Arpad. His questions in these verses of Isaiah clearly indicate that these same three cities have already been destroyed along with Samaria, as he tells Jerusalem that they are next. Thus, there seems to be good reason to believe the Damascus prophecies of both Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 have already been fulfilled. Historians debate the level of destruction, yet the Bible through Yahweh’s own rhetorical questions clearly indicates that an occurrence of destruction occurred in Isaiah’s days.
Another point to consider in the Isaiah chapter 17 prophecy is that there is nothing that definitively connects this prophecy to our age or to the end of the millennial age. In fact, the reference to a remnant of Israel being in Assyria in Isaiah 17:3 definitively ties this prophecy to Isaiah’s day. In the Isaiah 10 and 11 prophecy, Yahweh promised to save the remnant of Israel from Assyria in Isaiah 11:3. This statement in Isaiah 11:3 confirms that there is a connection of this prophecy to Isaiah chapter 17, while the statement about Damascus, Hamath and Arpad in Isaiah 10:9 clearly connects Isaiah chapters 10 and 11 to the prophecy of Jeremiah 49:27, which mentions the identical three cities. Thus, we can definitively connect all three prophecies together. Since Yahweh’s own rhetorical question in Isaiah 10:9 indicates that the prophecy of Damascus has been fulfilled, we should know that the connected prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 were eventually fulfilled sometime during the lifetimes of Isaiah and Jeremiah.
Another issue: If this prophecy is actually connected to Assyria aka Syria today, then there should be a remnant of Israel who are scattered in Assyria that need to be gathered back to Israel, according to Isaiah 17:3. Do we see such a situation in our modern day? I don’t see that as of today; so considering the totality of scripture, I tend to think there is little to connect Isaiah 17 to our immediate time frame.
Thus, I lean strongly to the understanding that this prophecy was already fulfilled in the days of Isaiah and Jeremiah, especially knowing that any nuclear destruction of Damascus in our age would actually cause Yahweh to break the land covenant he made with Abraham and his seed. Any nuclear destruction of Damascus would make it impossible to for Yahweh to fulfill his promise to Abraham for his seed to inherit this land, unless one foolishly wants to believe and insist that Yahweh intends to gift a nuclear wasteland to Abraham and his seed at the start of the millennial kingdom that is soon to come.

Mt 24:36 and Mk 13:32 have been egregiously mistranslated. The Greek text reads, ""not-one has been beholding the day...hour....". This is because "The Day of the LORD" is a unique day, without light, except at even-time (Zec 14:6-7), when every eye will Him coming....(Rev 1:7, Mt 24:30). It is also the day when the wrath of God (Rev 16) is poured out upon the earth and kills all the wicked and ungodly (Is 13:6-15, Jer 46:10, Jpel 1:15-3:15), shortly before the present heavens and earth are burned-up with intense heat (2Pet 3:10-12), making "The Day of the LORD", "a day like none other (Jer 30:7).

I think you are being deceived by another letter as if it is from Paul. The KJV doesn't say in 2 Thessalonians 2 that "as if the Day of the Lord has already come," it says, " ...is at hand." At hand means it is near. And what happens before He comes? Israel's 70th week, Tribulation, Jacob's trouble, which isn't for the Body of Christ Church: it's for Israel, and it is according to their prophecy. We are not appointed unto wrath, but Israel absolutely is appointed unto wrath and judgment and testing.
We are still in the Dispensation of Grace that began with Paul, and you can not have judgment during a Dispensation of Grace.
It seems you are lumping together the very things you should be rightly dividing between: what was meant for Israel and what is meant for the Body of Christ Church.
This reference is NOT about the rapture but about the tribulation and the second coming of Christ as King and Judge. Don't be deceived-- study this in context and try not to ignore the many texts that record Jesus' love and relationship to His church. The church, by the way, is the bride of Christ. He gave Himself for her to present her to Himself spotless without blemish. He accomplished that by imputing His righteousness to His church by grace. To think the church must experience the trial of the tribulation, is to say that Jesus' cleaning of His bride with His blood was not sufficient, and needs further chastening in the trib to make her acceptable. That idea is blasphemous . Think about it. You have a legalistic view of salvation, and a very shallow understanding of God's grace. Go to the Word prayerfully to learn, not to try and validate what you already believe in the spirit of error. As disciples, we are all students and live in the sanctification our relationship to God in Christ has brought us. Nobody graduates till Father calls us home or He calls His church out at the rapture. Why is Paul writing this to the church at Thessalonica? They thought they were in the tribulation because of the persecution they were experiencing. Paul is reassuring them that it was not possible because the things he had already taught them about the rapture and second coming had not occurred.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
-The rapture describes the removal of believers from the Earth (1 Thess. 4:17), but the second coming describes the coming of believers to the Earth (Rev. 19:14).
-At the rapture, believers meet Jesus in the air (1 Thess. 4:17), but in the second coming, believers meet Jesus on the ground (Zech. 14:4).
-In the rapture, believers are resurrected during Jesus’ descent (1 Cor. 15:52), but in the second coming, they are resurrected after Jesus slays enemies, judges beast and false prophet, and binds Satan (Rev. 20:1-4).
-When the message of Jesus’ coming is given to the Church, it is given as a message of comfort (1 Thess. 4:18; 1 Cor. 1:8; 1 Cor. 5:5; 2 Cor. 1:14; Phil. 1:6). However, when it is given to Israel, it is a message of warning and judgment (Isa. 13:6, 9; 34:8; Ezek. 30:3; Amos 5:18; Zeph. 1:7-13; 1 Thess. 5:2; 1 Thess. 3:2; 2 Thess. 2:2).

You need to do more study. We, his church, do not need to prepare ourselves for the outpouring of Gods wrath- which is the 7 year Tribulation. Aka- Jacob’s trouble, aka Israel’s trouble . Just reading that statement, it’s crazy that some think we are here for that! He removes His church, his bride , aka the rapture, the catching away, the meeting of the Lord in the air. We are not appointed for wrath.
All nations/cities were razed in the past Eccl 1:9-11 (KJV), and all will be razed in the near future.

The sun, moon, and stars are obviously symbolic, they represent the three major powers (nations) of the given 1,000-year day. Their brightness denotes the order of hierarchy. Today’s nations are U.S.A.=sun, Russia=moon, and China(red dragon)=stars. China will start WWIII bringing final judgement of the remaining 10 tribes (“stars”). Russia will be destroyed (“the moon as blood”). U.S.A. (“sun darkened”) will be the only nation with relatively any power left.

I wonder why God didn’t cast the Devil and his following Angles into the bottomless pit and seal him there cut off from his creation? Maybe that would prevented the Devil from tempting Adam and Eve in the Garden to eat of the forbidden tree of good and evil that resulted in the fall of man kind? Or would it have?
A thought provoking question indeed. My guess is that when God created Adam and Eve, He already knew exactly how it would turn out. Perhaps despite knowing that people would fall short, He chose to do things in this way so that we would each have free will. If He had thrown satan and the rebellious angels straight away, we would not have experienced any temptation/sin. If we never had to repent from our sin nature because we were born into a perfect state lacking sin and not faced with temptation, then we would not really have free will to choose Him, because by default He would be the only choice. Perhaps in His infinite wisdom He knew that many would rebel eventually so He allowed satan to tempt us while we live in our human state, thereby giving us an opportunity for our souls to live in glory with Him for eternity. This is just my opinion, I am not sure if it is Biblically sound, but just my thoughts. God bless 🙏
There is a theory that Satan's fall from angel to demon happened in full when he tempted Eve and succeeded with Adam. Satan's physical fall to earth is a future event.. so If Adam passed the test Satan could have been locked up, but because he failed he handed authority of this realm to Satan ...

Post fall God uses our sin to teach us the fruit of departure from His ways. Any theological explanation that starts with God can’t is suspicious immediately.

The proof; the final trumpet is at the end of the tribulation. There is a feast of Trumpets every year. If the "final trumpet" is at the beginning of the tribulation, what would the next 7 trumpets be called? Followers of The Way, ready yourselves to minister during the entire Great Tribulation.

The Rapture-gathering occurs during "The Day of the LORD" (1Th 4:17-5:2, 2Th 2:12) , which day, Jesus called "The Last Day" (Jn 6:30-40,44,54), which will occur 7 years after a covenant has been strengthened with many (Dan 9:27), which strengthening has not yet even been proposed.
Correct!! Moreover "The Last Trumpet" must occur after the last-ever full moon (Ps 81:3), and certainly not before the "Great Trumpet" (Mt 24:31), which Jesus uses within"The Last Day" (Jn 6:39-40,44,54) to gather His Elect from out of the extremities of heaven and earth.
